Psyche knew she’d have to face Aphrodite’s ire eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake…or for Aphrodite’s gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the blow.

Eros has no problem getting his hands dirty. But when it comes time to take out his latest target, he can’t do it.

Confused by his reaction to Psyche, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: he marries her.

As they try to find a way out of their mess, lines blur and loyalties shift and two hearts are at risk.

This book was ELECTRIC! Seriously, a book about Eros, Psyche and Aphrodite should definitely bring the heat and boy did this ever.

I didn’t think I could love a book more than Neon Gods, the first in the Neon Gods series, but this one totally knocked it out of the park it was THAT good.

For this second book in the series, we find Psyche, Demeter’s daughter, on her guard at yet another party in Olympus.

She knows her mother is now vying for her to marry Zeus now that her sister Persephone is no longer an option as she’s with Hades.

But when Psyche gets a moment’s peace from the posturing and plotting of the party, she runs into Eros….who’s bleeding.

Psyche is one smart girl and knows exactly who Eros is, the monster of Olympus, but that doesn’t prevent her from helping him and that does something to Eros.

So, when his mother, Aphrodite, wants Psyche out of the picture and calls for him to literally carve out Psyche’s heart, he can’t go through with it. Only now Eros and Psyche must take on Aphrodite together.

Well let me tell you. Monster or not, Eros can strike me with his arrow any time. Seriously, this man was H-O-T and his chemistry with Psyche was off the charts.

While he’s often considered a monster for the tasks he carries out for his mother, he sure did show his more human side when it came to Psyche.

They instantly fell in step with one another but it really worked. Sure, it’s a case of instalove but who can blame them?

Psyche was no push over when literally faced with her own demise and I loved her for it. She was such a strong, independent woman but couldn’t help falling for the monster.

I loved how Robert used Psyche’s talent as a social media influencer as it fit perfectly to the story.

I also love how Psyche was not another tall, skinny blond but a woman with curves who owned them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and how it fits within the world Robert’s is building in this series.

But it was ultimately the chemistry between Psyche and Eros that had me devouring each and every page.

Great writing, great story, amazing characters, a must read!

It definitely deserves its place as one of my most anticipated romance books of 2022 and as one of the best romance novels of 2022, AND a nominee in the 2022 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominees for Best Romance.

Bring on the next in the series!
