Meet Leslie: Creator, Podcaster, and Romance Book Expert!

My Story

The first romance book I can remember that took my breath away as a teen was Paradise by Judith McNaught.

Some of my favorite romance book tropes include enemies to lovers, office romance, sports romance, fake relationships, opposites attract, slow burn romance, and MM romance but I devour them all.

You won’t see me reading books with any triggers such as gratuitous violence or abuse.

I’ve jumped into the book blogging world because I love to hear other readers’ recommendations and thought I’d share my own.

Plus, there are so many great romance authors out there that I want others to know about their works!

I’m also a list fanatic so putting together romance book lists is just too darn fun.

I love book lists so much that I launched another book blog with my kiddos about the best chapter book series and graphic novels for tween readers called We Read Tween Books!

My Mission

My mission is to:

• Help romance book readers find the best books worth reading from indie and traditionally published authors.
• Help new readers to the genre explore what it has to offer.
• Create community for the romance book readers of the world to come together and talk books!
• Give romance authors exposure to their amazing work (many of which are hard-working women like me!)
• Help readers find more enjoyment in their reading life with book lists, book gift lists, personally curated reading journals, an annual book challenge, book quizzes, and more!
• Bring awareness to the diversity of the romance genre.
• Help bring more love into the world with more happily ever after love stories because life is better with a love story!

To meet this mission, I:

• Highlight and provide commentary and reasons for my recommendations for the best romance books in various romance book tropes with diverse characters and storylines and from diverse authors.
• Created the She Reads Romance Books Book Club to highlight romance books and bring readers together to read them.
• Review romance books to share my voice with readers and authors.
• Offer advertising to indie and traditionally published authors.
• Celebrate and highlight diversity in the genre.
