Since I’m always searching for the best romance books worth reading, I can’t help but get excited for all the possibilities each month’s new romance book releases have to offer.

That’s why every month I give you my list of my most anticipated new romance book releases that are sure to make my must read pile.

Romance books to make this list typically fall into my most favorite romance book tropes but I always like to keep it fresh with new authors and books that look to have that wow factor.

This month, many new release titles are from my Best Summer Reads of 2021 list but there are also a few new additions that caught my eye.

Fellow lovers of MM romance will see quite a few new book releases in this category this month!

I’m also excited to finally dive into a Helen Hoang book as she’s an author I’ve been meaning to read for quite some time. Farrah Rochon is an author I highlighted on my Black Romance Authors list so I can’t wait to read her new release as well.

My Top 10 Most Anticipated New Romance Book Releases for August 2021

Anna Sun dislikes Quan Diep or so she keeps trying to convince herself. But it seems he only has eyes for her newly engaged sister.

Wanting to protect her sister, Anna works to overcome her OCD, and find a way to bury her anxieties and seduce Quan so he doesn’t ruin her sister’s engagement.

I can’t believe I’ve yet to read a Hoang romance which is why this book also made my Most Anticipated Romance Books of 2021 list.

I have a real weakness for books that highlight characters with mental health conditions so I can’t wait to read about Anna!

Resisting the shortstop has never been my strong suit. I failed at it during my first spring training. It sure as hell looks like I’m about to fail at it again.

The sport I love playing with my very soul hangs in the balance. Trouble is, I can’t seem to get Declan out of my head, even if I stand to lose everything I’ve worked for my entire life.

This book follows Blakely’s July release, Scoring With Him to complete her Men of Summer duet.

I’m loving Blakely’s new MM romances and can’t wait to complete this duet series. Both books made my best summer reads of 2021 list!

Harris is the opposite of Troy in every way: friendly, cheerful, chatty, and goofy with a booming voice, a startlingly loud laugh, and Pride pins all over his denim jacket. Definitely not the sort of person Troy would normally associate with, and yet…

Rachel Reid totally captivated me with her MM hockey romance, Heated Rivalry, so it was a no brainer that this new release was going to be added to my must read list.

I like that this book features an opposites attract love story between hockey player and social media manager. Harris sounds adorable and I can’t wait to “meet” him.

This book totally had me at frenemy! I love enemies to lovers books and the twist that these two have been secretly married all this time sounds oh so fun.

MM romance AND a fake relationship? Yes, I am definitely reading this one. It’s been fun exploring new authors in the Vino and Veritas book world so I hope this one is a keeper!

I’ve read a few romance books with the storyline of a trainer and injured athlete falling for each other. I love that this one has a fake relationship angle to it as well! This will be my first Rochon book and I can’t wait to read it.

I just love the set up of the romance novels in the Introvert’s Guide series – watching three friends try out dating either online, speed dating or in this case blind. Dating these days is hard which is why it’s so much more fun to live through someone else’s experience!

Plus any book about a romance author is one to read in my book.

Sometimes I just need to escape into a historical romance and this one is my pick for August. I particularly love historical romance novels where an indiscretion is involved so here’s hoping Long scores again with this new release.

There she finds a less-than-warm welcome in Rowan MacGregor, the rugged local handyman, but sparks soon begin to fly.

Meghan Quinn’s romance books have THE best banter so I can only image the barbs and sparks that are going to fly between Rowan and Bonnie. Plus, you never have to twist my arm to read a romance book that features a hot Scotsman!

I’ve been waiting on this book for quite awhile as it is one of the best summer reads of the year.

Harrison Cole may be hot, but he immediately deems Piper a security threat. Too bad that their constant run-ins show that underneath Harrison’s no-nonsense exterior lies a soft heart that tempts Piper into believing that maybe white knights do exist.

This romance book made my best summer reads of 2021 list as it sounds too perfect for the summer season. This looks to be the perfect rom com for spying on British royals and sparring with a hot bodyguard.
