Sean is a 36 year old who’s only goals are to make money and f7^*(k everything and anything he wants to.

He runs into a young woman at a benefit who takes his breath away. He wants to do very carnal things to her but their night is cut short.

He runs into the mystery woman again and realizes she’s Zenny, the younger sister of his best friend. Only she’s now 21 and on her way to becoming a nun.

In order to test her faith and devotion to her chosen way of life, she asks Sean to sleep with her and show her everything she’s giving up. He agrees to be hers in any and every way for the next month.

Me reading this book:

“OMG, he’s f-ing a nun…what am I reading?!”

“WOW, that was a really interesting piece on faith. Tell me more.”

“Will he please stop calling her Zenny-bug and ‘my little nun.’ Gross.”

“Reverend Mother‘s discourse on the Goddess – preach girlfriend!”

I was seriously so back and forth with this book. So many things that really bugged me and yet I kept reading for Simone’s intellectual/philosophical musings on faith and God. It’s why this romance made my list of best mindf*ck romance books!

What I Liked

Zenny was a great female character who came across much older than her years. Sean however seemed to change from this alpha male to a man panting at her heels.

It was an abrupt turnaround that I didn’t like but the discourse on faith and God is what kept me reading this story.

I loved that it also featured an interracial relationship. The fact that Sean read romance novels and read them to his mother and the other cancer patients during their infusions was a nice treat.

The Verdict

Will I be rereading this? No. But, I will be rereading several paragraphs that I found so thought-provoking on the areas of faith, purity, virginity, religion, philosophy and God.

Would I recommend this for the story? Maybe, though it won’t be some readers’ cup of tea if you don’t like age gap romances, sleeping with an almost nun, instalust or dirty talk.

Would I attend a weekend retreat to listen to Sierra Simone’s thoughts on religion, belief, faith, and the Goddess? You betcha!
