My Review of Knot So Lucky
Trilina Pucci may honestly be one of the funniest romance authors I’ve ever read. I was laughing from the very first chapter all the way to the last page. I highlighted what felt like every other line because the banter was just that good. Between Eleanor’s hilarious one-liners and Crew’s dirty talk, I was convinced this book might melt my new Kindle. Thankfully, Pucci knew exactly what she was doing because some of the best lines even became the chapter titles.
I actually picked this book up because I was looking for a why choose romance for the SRRB Reading Challenge. While this isn’t a true why choose romance since the relationship ultimately stays between Crew and Eleanor, there are scenes involving multiple partners that might surprise readers going in. Instead, what I found was one of the funniest, sexiest romcoms I’ve read in a long time.
Eleanor completely won me over. Her walk of shame through the casino after her wild Vegas night had me laughing so hard. She’s strolling through the casino with massive bedhead, holding her tiny dress together, and acting like it’s just another Tuesday. There isn’t an ounce of embarrassment about her, and I absolutely loved that. She’s confident, unapologetically herself, and never changes who she is to impress anyone. Even as her feelings for Crew grow, she doesn’t try to fight them or pretend they aren’t there. She keeps chasing her dream of opening her own salon and lives life exactly the way she wants.
Crew is exactly the kind of football hero I hoped he’d be. He can’t get enough of Eleanor, but what I loved most was why he fell for her. He was completely captivated by her independence, her quirky sense of humor, and how unapologetically wild she was both in and out of the bedroom. He even starts calling her his “Wild Card,” and it couldn’t have fit her better. While Crew spends most of the book trying to fight his growing feelings, there are little moments where his protective, caveman side starts coming out, and I loved every one of them. The date night he planned for Eleanor was one of my favorite scenes because it was unexpectedly sweet while still feeling completely true to his character.
Of course, this book is all about the steam, and there is a lot of it. Crew and Eleanor fully embrace their month-long marriage, and the chemistry between them is off the charts from beginning to end. What I appreciated most was that the spicy scenes never felt like they were there simply to make the book hotter. Even though the steam stays high throughout, there are quieter moments woven into some of those scenes that hint at how their feelings are changing, making their romance feel even more believable. Crew’s teammates were a hilarious addition, and Eleanor’s best friend and sister added just as much fun. I already can’t wait to read the next in this series.

Final Thoughts
Knot So Lucky was one of those books I couldn’t put down because I was either laughing, smiling, or fanning myself. Trilina Pucci somehow balances over-the-top humor with seriously hot chemistry while still giving Crew and Eleanor a romance that felt genuine. Their attraction is instant, but it’s watching Crew fall for Eleanor’s confidence, independence, and wonderfully chaotic spirit that makes this relationship so much fun to read.
If you’re looking for a football romance with nonstop banter, unforgettable spice, and a heroine who completely owns who she is, this is one I can’t recommend enough. I’ll absolutely be picking up more books in the Touchdown Love series.
