It was so much fun reading a new series back-to-back so I couldn’t wait to finally read Hollis’ story with The Relationship Pact. I recently enjoyed reading The Revenge Pact and The Romantic Pact so I was eager to see what the third baller had in store.

Like his two best friends, Hollis is still recovering from a sub-par senior football season. He’s not sure if he’s going to pursue the draft so he’s a bit adrift.

He now finds himself in Savannah, Georgia between Christmas and New Years as he waits to attend a charitable event where he is one of the guests of honor.

While in town he meets Larissa who at first glance asks him to pretend to be her fake boyfriend for five minutes to put off her ex.

I’m always up for a fake relationship and I loved how Hollis just slid into the role to help out Larissa. Even though it was just a quick thing, you could sense their immediate attraction.

As luck would have it, they are both given situations where they could use a plus one so the fake relationship continues.

While Larissa and Hollis both seemed to be interesting characters, I didn’t get invested in either one as I felt like we just scratched the surface in this novel.

There were so many aspects to this story that I wanted more of such as Grandma Judy, Hollis’ past and his friendship with Crew and River.

I honestly wouldn’t get that he was real tight with his boys had I not read the previous two books in this series.

Plus, the whole “falling in love” in just a few days felt a bit hard to believe given their limited time together but that could just be me.

While I liked this series as a whole, this one was probably my least favorite and one I may easily forget. That being said, I enjoyed reading it.
