New Fall Romance Books
Itโs Different This Time
by Joss Richards
Reeling from the cancellation of her hit TV show, June Wood has nothing left to lose when a mysterious email lures her back to the New York City brownstone she once called home before she moved to Los Angeles. Thanks to a clause in the former ownerโs will, she and her old roommate, Adam Harper, now own the multimillion-dollar propertyโor at least they will in a month, once all the paperwork is signed.
Four weeks, then June can return to her life in LA and forget about New York City and everything she left behind. Sure, the fact that June and Adam are estranged and havenโt even spoken in five years, and that their friendship didnโt exactly end on good terms might complicate matters, but this is an opportunity of a lifetime.
As the autumn leaves fall around them, through shared meals and late-night conversations, old wounds and long-buried sparks resurface, and it becomes strikingly clear: June and Adam have unfinished business. Confronted with the consequences of their choices years before, they must now navigate the minefield of their past the best way they know how: together. Second chances are always a risk, but maybe, if they get it right and are finally honest with each other and with themselves, it could be different this time.
Letโs Give โEm Pumpkin to Talk About
by Isabelle Popp
Textile artist Sadie Fox didย notย sign up for this. When she agreed to come home to Pea Blossom, Indiana, it was to care for her fatherโs beloved pumpkin patch. The deal was thatโjust for the summerโshe would grow a ginormous pumpkin, win the Indiana State Fair’s pumpkin contest and finally win back her fatherโs (grudging) respect.
Instead, a horde of wild hogs destroyedย the. entire. patch. Which is precisely when the annoyingly sexy, sunshiny next-door neighbor shows up.
Josh Thatcher is a tech millionaire who traded in the office for growing gourds, including experimental squash hybrids. And for the life of her, Sadie canโt understand what he sees in her sweary, tattooed, prickly selfโor why heโs offering to help his biggest competitor. But a storm-fueled kiss proves thereโsย definitelyย something growing between them.
Maybe itโs just attraction. Maybe itโs more. Whatever it is, itโs already bigger than Sadieโs fast-growing pumpkinโฆor the secret that Josh has been hiding.

If It Makes You Happy
by Julie Olivia
My new next-door neighbor seems to have everything figured out. Small town golden boy? Check. Single dad extraordinaire? Check. Hot baker forearms? I didnโt notice them, I swear.
I, on the other hand, donโtโat allโhave anything figured out. Trust me, I didnโt think taking over my momโs dream bed and breakfast in Copper Run Vermont was going to be easy. It should be a good place to heal after my divorce. But apparently my scones belong in the garbage with my small talk skills. As pointed out by none other than Cliff.
Cliff is inescapable. He knows exactly what people needโalways. His charm, the way he wears flannel, and even his pastries, make not wanting to be friends with Cliff and his daughters pretty hard.
Friends? I can make friends. Thatโs safe. Except Iโm leaving in three months to pass the inn off to my little sister and get the promotion in Seattle Iโve been working towards. So ask me why Iโm thinking about kissing my hot neighbor.

A Love Like Pumpkin Spice
by Hailey Frost
Welcome to Wayward Hollow – Where strangers become family and love finds a way.
After catching my fiancรฉ tangled up with my sister (yes, my sister), and being told by my parents I was โoverreacting,โ I packed my best friend and what was left of my dignity to flee to Wayward Hollow – a picturesque little town that looks like it was plucked straight out of a Hallmark movie.
I try to put myself back together. People-pleasing? Officially retired. Love? Off the table.
At least that was the plan.
But Chaos unfolds when my attempt to save a stray cat leads me to Henry. The townโs beloved veterinarian is gentle, ridiculously attractive, and seems to have a sixth sense for broken things…including me.
Just when I start to believe in new beginnings, the past comes knockingโloud, uninvited, and far from finished.
Spooky Fall Romance Books
Crazy Spooky Love
by Josie Silver
In the leafy, charming town of Chapelwick, the Bittersweet family has been a fixture on High Street for as long as anyone can remember. Their rambling black-and-white building houses all three generations of ghost-sensitive Bittersweet women and their business, Blithe Spirits.
On her twenty-seventh birthday, Melody Bittersweet converts the disused back storeroom into her office and opens her own business. Unlike the rest of her family, sheโs not taking down messages from ghostsโsheโs taking them out.
Right away, the freshly minted Girlsโ Ghostbusting Agency takes on its first case: a grand old house that wonโt sell because a trio of incumbent ghost brothers raise merry hell whenever prospective owners arrive to view it.
It soon becomes clear that thereโs a whole heap of unfinished business between the Scarborough brothersโincluding murderโand Melody isnโt the only one trying to unravel the mystery. Leo Dark, her rakish ex and business rival, is also on the case, along with the TV crew that trails him.
To make matters worse, the sarcastic and skeptical (and annoyingly good-looking) local reporter Fletcher Gunn has his nose in the story as well. Sniffing out a way to publicly discredit the Bittersweets is his favorite assignmentโand has absolutely nothing to do with his inability to resist Melody.
With her business on the line, itโs up to Melody to work out the brothersโ issues, but can she protect her own very susceptible heart from Fletcherโs charm? Does she even want to?
The Most Unusual Haunting of Edgar Lovejoy
by Roan Parrish
Jamie Wendon-Dale (transmasc they/them) creates haunted houses for a living. Haunting is their lifeโbut nobody working New Orleans’ spooky circuit actually believes in ghosts.

Not only is he scared of encountering the dearly departed whenever he leaves the house, but he’s terrified of making himself vulnerable to Jamie. After all, how do you tell someone who believes ghosts only exist as smoke and mirrors that you see them everywhere you go? And how can you trust in a happy future when you can’t even believe in yourself?

And while her bank account isnโt full by any means, her heart is. Or at least, it was.
But there’s a newcomer in town. The son of a Fortune 500 businessman, former theater kid Tristan has grown his tours from a fraternity fundraiser to a multicity ghost tour conglomerate. Itโs doing well, but not well enoughโif he canโt prove that heโs solidly in the black by the fall, Dadโs going to pull his funding, spelling the end of his career. Boneyard Key, with its haunted reputation, seems like the perfect place to boost his bottom line.
When the two ghost tours clash, Sophieโs expletive-filled rant goes viral, and the rivals strike up a deal. Whoever has the most successful business by summerโs end stays, while the loser must ghost. But the more Tristan comes to appreciate Boneyard Key, the more Sophie comes to appreciate Tristan, and what starts as begrudging respect becomes something spicier. Can they put their feuding businesses aside to make room for a chance at love, or is Boneyard Key too small for two ghost tours?
