Go Luck Yourself: My Review
Go Luck Yourself was one of my most anticipated new romantasy books of 2025 ever since I finished The Nightmare Before Kissmas and all I can say is that Sara Raasch better continue this series because it is so fresh and so wonderful โ everything I never knew I needed in my romance book reading life!
Her words, her characters and the joy that just jumps off the pages are what made this book and the entire series a pure delight to read. Iโll happily supply a list of all holidays, including the most obscure, so she never runs out of inspiration for Royals and Romance! ๐
I loved the meet cute between the Prince of Christmas and the Prince of St. Patrickโs Day that sparked the beginnings of this fantastic enemies to lovers romance. It was hilarious how Kris just wanted to defend how he went through the appropriate channels to reserve his beloved study room and would not be kept from it.
From there I got total Red, White and Royal Blue vibes since Kris had to apologize and make nice with Lochlann in front of the press in the spirit of repairing โinternationalโ relations when behind the scenes they masked their attraction with incessant teasing and pestering one another. I loved it!
In this romance, Raasch once again created the best characters with really interesting internal struggles. Kris was โthe spareโ who fell into a people-pleasing role and still struggled with the repercussions of his motherโs leaving him as a young kid. I liked how he slowly found his way back to his passions and allowed himself to put his own joy first.
Loch was everything I hoped for in the Irishman. How Raasch wrote his brogue so that it just jumped off the page as if I was hearing him in my ear was incredible. He was totally the grump to Krisโ sunshine that was dealing with his own inadequacies.
Iโm really hoping we get Irisโ story next with a certain someone. My fingers are crossed until we get that announcement.
If youโre looking for a queer romance that is the perfect enemies to lovers story that weaves in magic, creative arts, family struggles and amazing sibling relationships then youโll enjoy this book!
