I honestly can’t wait to see what BB Easton has in store with her new release. It’s been too long since she published a romance and I’m counting down the days…

This month I’m also going to read an enemies to lovers book, a few MM romances and a new LGBTQ+ romance as well.

My Most Anticipated New Romance Book Releases for February 2022

Good Girl Complex is a new romance book release from Elle Kennedy coming February 2022.

Good Girl Complex
by Elle Kennedy

College Romance
Releasing February 1

Mackenzie Cabot is a people pleaser, which is exhausting, when all she wants to do is focus on growing her internet business.  First, she must get a college degree at her parents’ insistence which means mingling with the wealthy students of Garnet College.

Twenty-year-old Mac has had plenty of practice suppressing her wilder impulses, but when she meets local bad boy Cooper Hartley, that ability is suddenly tested. But as Mac finally starts feeling accepted by Cooper and his friends, the secret he’s been keeping from her threatens the only place she’s ever felt at home.

I recently binged Kennedy’s Off Campus series so I’m ready to jump into this new release which is another college romance but with a different angle and without hockey.

I really enjoy her new adult romance books so I hope this one is just as good as my favorites of hers!

Ramon and Julieta is a new romance book release coming February 2022.

Ramon and Julieta
by Alana Quintana Albertson

Enemies to Lovers Romance
Releasing February 1

Ramón Montez always achieves his goals. Whether that means collecting Ivy League degrees or growing his father’s fast-food empire, nothing sets Ramón off course. So when the señorita who kissed him on the Day of the Dead runs off into the night with his heart, he’s determined to do whatever it takes to find her again.

Celebrity chef Julieta Campos has sacrificed everything to save her sea-to-table taqueria from closing. To her horror, she discovers that her new landlord is none other than the magnetic mariachi she hooked up with on Dia de los Muertos. Even worse, it was his father who stole her mother’s taco recipe decades ago. Julieta has no choice but to work with Ramón, the man who destroyed her life’s work—and the one man who tempts and inspires her.

As San Diego’s outraged community protests against the Taco King takeover and the divide between their families grows, Ramón and Julieta struggle to balance the rising tensions. But Ramón knows that true love is priceless and despite all of his successes, this is the one battle he refuses to lose.

I love this diverse take on Romeo and Juliet where a family feud is over tacos! Plus, it’s an enemies to lovers romance which are my absolute favorite so it is definitely making my TBR list.

Group Therapy is a new romance book release from BB Easton coming February 2022.

Group Therapy
by BB Easton

A Forbidden Romance, Romantic Comedy
Releasing February 1

I amso close to finally becoming a full-fledged psychologist, but my supervisor is holding out on my letter of recommendation. I’m tasked with curing our most-prized client’s writer’s block in time for him to meet his insane deadline. Only said client just so happens to be Thomas O’Reardon, the wickedly brilliant, achingly beautiful, devastatingly British best-selling author I may have a slight crush on.

So, when Thomas casually asks me out at the end of a therapy session, I’m forced to make an impossible choice: say yes and risk losing my dream job, or say no and risk losing my dream guy. In a panic, I blurt out a third option—group therapy.

I am so in if BB Easton is writing this as I’m sure it’s going to be not only hilarious but steamy as well. Knowing she is a psychologist as well as a writer, I can only imagine what aspects from her own life will make it into the pages. This made my most anticipated romance books of 2022 list and I cannot wait to read it.

The Plan is a new romance book release from Karla Sorensen coming January 2022.

The Plan
by Karla Sorensen

Fake Relationship Romance
February 9

I don’t recommend fake dating your bodyguard. Especially if he’s like Erik Wilder: former football player, world class know-it-all and unapologetic grump. Erik’s words might say that the lines have to stay firm between us, but those dark eyes of his? They tell another story when he looks at me.

He’s just as stubborn as I am, but when our fake dating plan starts to feel a lot more real, it’s only a matter of time before his professional walls come crashing down.

I have yet to read a book by Sorensen and I think this is the one! I love a good fake relationship story and the fact that this is with a bodyguard makes it oh so exciting. Bring it!

Meet Me in the Margins is a new romance book release coming February 2022.

Meet Me in the Margins
by Melissa Ferguson

Contemporary Romance
Releasing February 15

Savannah Cade is a low-level editor at Pennington Publishing, but she has two secrets she’s hiding. One: She’s writing a romance novel. Two: She’s discovered the Book Nook—a secret room in the publishing house where she finds inspiration for her “lowbrow” hobby.

After leaving her manuscript behind one afternoon, she returns to the nook only to discover someone has written notes in the margins. Savannah’s first response to the criticism is defensive, but events transpire that force her to admit that she needs the help of this shadowy editor after all.

As the notes take a turn for the romantic, and as Savannah’s madcap life gets more complicated than ever, she uses the process of elimination to identify her mysterious editor—only to discover that what she truly wants and what she should want just might not be the same.

I’m really digging the fact that the identity of one character is unknown in this one but that the main characters fall in love anyway. I especially love the book angle to the story as well. This will be my first book by Ferguson and I have high hopes it will be one of the best romance novels of the year hence it made my most anticipated of 2022 list.

The Player Hater is a new romance book release from Sara Ney coming February 2022.

The Player Hater
by Sara Ney

Contemporary Romance
February 15

When my best friend begs me to come on a weekend getaway so I can bond with her new boyfriend, I can’t say no. After all, I need to check out her guy and make sure he’s not your stereotypical, professional football player (emphasis on PLAYER) who’s going to destroy my friend’s heart.

Unfortunately he brought his single best friend Davis on the trip. Davis is too handsome, so funny and smart that he has to be hiding something. Because if he seems too good to be true, he probably is.

This book kicks off a new series by Ney featuring strong women falling accidentally in love and I’m so there. Past books by Ney that I’ve loved were so funny and hot, so I’m hoping this book has an equal dose of both as well.

Bedhead is a new romance book release coming in March 2022.

Bedhead
by Brooke Blaine

MM Romance
Releasing February 17
(Update: Now Releasing March 15)

I hate Drew Edwards. Smug, charming, flippant, and a royal pain, Drew has a way of making everyone fall in love with him, but I know the truth. Under that public persona is a ruthless man who’ll do anything to come out on top. He’s done it to me before…and a leopard doesn’t change his spots.

Hudson Montgomery hates me. If anything, his hate only fuels my desire to provoke the man at every opportunity. So, when the chance to publish the most scandalous book of the year comes down to our companies, I’m determined to do whatever I have to in order to take Hudson down.

I so love Blaine’s MM romance books and I have a feeling this one is going to be oh so good. Kicking off the Hate to Love You world, I never turn down a great enemies to lovers story, so this one definitely made my TBR list of the month.

Count Your Lucky Stars is a new romance book release coming February 2022

Count Your Lucky Stars
by Alexandria Bellefleur

A LGBTQ, Friends to Lovers Rom-Com
Releasing February 1

Margot Cooper doesn’t do relationships. But when she comes face-to-face with Olivia Grant—her childhood friend, her first love, her first… well, everything, she’s not so sure about that stance.

Olivia must be hallucinating. Never in a million years did the wedding planner expect her important new client’s Best Woman would be the one that got away.

When a series of unfortunate events leaves Olivia without a place to stay, Margot offers up her spare room. As they spend time in close quarters, Margot starts to question her no-strings stance. But will history repeat itself or should she count her lucky stars that she gets a second chance with her first love?

My expectations are high for this one after loving Written in the Stars. I love a good second chance romance and Margot deserves a happily-ever-after in this romance which is also one of my most anticipated books of 2022.

The Reunion is a new romance book release coming February 2022.

The Reunion
by Meghan Quinn

A Contemporary Romance with 6 Points of View
Releasing February 22

Martin and Peggy Chance believe love should last a lifetime. With their fiftieth wedding anniversary on the horizon, they’ve modeled a beautiful relationship for their three grown children. But to their dismay, that lesson hasn’t quite caught on—the three siblings just can’t seem to take a chance and find love in their own lives.

There’s Ford, the eldest, devoted to his work and resistant to romance…or so he claims. Cooper, the middle child, can’t get past his divorce—until he reconnects with a feisty baker from his past. And Palmer, the baby of the family, is the free-spirited world traveler who always pictured herself with someone other than a handsome small-town family doctor.

When the Chance siblings come together to plan the ultimate anniversary party for their parents, they’ll have to navigate romantic entanglements, sibling rivalries, and the definitive end of their childhood.

Yes, I’m ready for another Quinn book! I’m SO happy this woman keeps cranking out the romance and this one sounds so good. I love how we will get multiple points of view and I hope it plays out well though how can it not?  Quinn’s consistently had a title on my annual best of lists so here’s hoping this one makes my best romance books of 2022 list!

I'm So Not Over You is a most anticipated, new romance book release coming February 2022.

I’m So Not Over You
by Kosoko Jackson

Second Chance, MM Romance
Releasing February 22

It’s been months since aspiring journalist Kian Andrews has heard from his ex-boyfriend, Hudson Rivers, but an urgent text has them meeting at a café. Instead of apologizing for the breakup, Hudson has a favor to ask—he wants Kian to pretend to be his boyfriend while his parents are in town, and Kian reluctantly agrees.

The dinner doesn’t go exactly as planned, and suddenly Kian is Hudson’s plus one to Georgia’s wedding of the season. If Kian goes, he’ll help Hudson preserve appearances and may get the big career break he needs. Only their fake relationship begins to feel more like the real deal.

Jackson will be a new romance book author to me and I’m loving the set up of this fake relationship/second chance romance. Plans never go as expected when you fake date, do they? I’m anxious to see how things progress and feelings transpire between Kian and Hudson in this MM romance!

  1. I had 2 that I was so impatiently waiting for this month and they aren’t on your list. Just One Favor by Stephanie Rose – an enemies to lovers with a bit of a twist on the FM roles. The other is the MM forced proximity Sink or Swim by Annabeth Albert. Both authors are auto buys for me so I was pleased there was a week between release dates!
