Hook, Line and Sinker
by Tessa Bailey
A Friends to Lovers Romance
Releasing March 1
King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a hot, carefree flirt whoโs a guaranteed good time–in bed and out–and that’s exactly how he prefers it. Until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She’s immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his… personality? And wants to be friends?
Now, Hannah’s in town for work, crashing in Fox’s spare bedroom. Sheโs still nursing a hopeless crush on a colleague yet the more time she spends with Fox, the more she wants him instead.
Baileyโs first book in this series, It Happened One Summer, was one of my favorite romance books of 2021 so I couldnโt wait to read this follow up. It did not disappoint and will definitely be one of my favorite romance novels of 2022. Youโll love this friends to lovers romance that really tugged on my heartstrings. My Review.
By Any Other Name
by Lauren Kate
An Enemies to Lovers Romance
Coming March 1
With a successful career as a romance editor, and an engagement to a man who checks off all her boxes, Lanie’s more than good. Now sheโs given the opportunity of a lifetime: to work with world-renowned author and her biggest inspiration in love and lifeโthe Noa Callaway. All Lanie has to do is cure Noa’s writer’s block and she’ll get the promotion she’s always dreamed of. Simple, right?
But there’s a reason no one has ever seen or spoken to the mysterious Noa Calloway. And that reason will rock Lanieโs world. It will call into question everything she thought she knew. When she finally tosses her list to the wind, Lanie may just discover that love By Any Other Name can still be as sweet.
I really am a sucker for romance books with characters who have something to do with the book world. I love that this one features an editor who thinks she has it all going on and an author with a secret I cannot wait to find out.
Kamila Knows Best
by Farah Heron
A Modern Retelling Romance
Coming March 8
Kamila Hussainโs life might not be perfect, but itโs close. She lives a life of comfort, filled with her elaborate Bollywood movie parties and an endless array of friends who clearly need her help finding love. In fact, Kamila is so busy with her friendsโ love lives, sheโs hardly given any thought to her own.
Fortunately, Kamila has Rohan Nasser. A longtime friend of the family who is now making her insides do a little bhangra dance.
But life is busy and Kamila isnโt letting herself get distractedโuntil her secret nemesis returns to town with an eye for Rohan. Suddenly, it seems like the more Kamila tries to plan, the more things are starting to unravelโand her perfectly ordered life is about to be turned upside down.
Emma goes Bollywood? Yes please! This book sounds so delightful and I cannot wait to see what craziness Kamila gets into while denying her love for Rohan. I love the diversity of this romance.
The War of Two Queens
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
A Fantasy Romance
Releasing March 15
Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Lifeโs guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to fight her way.
But battle is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to beโwhat she fears the most.
I have honestly been waiting for this book as soon as I finished The Crown of Gilded Bones which ended on a cliffhanger! I miss Casteel and Poppy and need more of them stat. Iโve already made my family aware that Iโll be unavailable after cracking open this one until I hit the end.
In a New York Minute
by Kate Spencer
An Opposites Attract Romance
Releasing March 15
Franny Doyle is having the worst day. Sheโs been laid off from her job, the subway doors ripped her favorite silk dress to ruins, and now sheโs flashed her unmentionables to half of lower Manhattan. On the plus side, a dashing stranger came to her rescue with his suit jacket.
Now Franny and her knight-in-couture, Hayes Montgomery III, are the newest social media sensation despite being a disastrous match. Only the more they keep running into each other, the more they like each otherโs company.
This book had me at dashing stranger. ๐ Itโs fun how romance book authors use social media to bring their characters together, especially complete opposites as with this one. Iโm hoping to check out this title and Spencerโs work since I have yet to read her books.
Shenanigans
by Sarina Bowen
An Accidental Marriage Romance
Releasing March 15
What I meant to do in Vegas: Let my hair down for once and celebrate winning a medal at my first womenโs hockey all-stars competition. What I actually did: Got senior prom drunk and woke up married to Brooklynโs star winger, the great Neil Drake.
Heโs the heir to a billion dollars, and I barely survived my childhood. Our friendship is based strictly only on hockey, takeout food and smack talk. And now holy matrimony. Although we both know it canโt last, especially once his family gets wind of our Vegas shenanigans.
I really enjoyed Bowenโs first book about the womenโs hockey team and canโt wait for this second one. Neil was hilarious and I can only imagine the shenanigans these two get into in this book. Iโm all for it. It doesnโt hurt that this is an oops marriage romance which I love.
Ten Trends to Seduce Your Best Friend
by Penny Reid
An Opposites Attract, Romantic Comedy
Releasing March 15
Winnifred Gobaldi and Byron Visser are not best friends. Yes, theyโve known each other for years, but theyโre not even friendly. The truth is, they have nothing in common.
Sheโs a public school science teacher with stars in her eyes, and heโs a pretentious, joyless double PhD turned world-famous bestselling fiction author. Sheโs looking for a side hustle to help pay down a mountain of student debt, and his financial portfolio is the stuff of fiduciary wet dreams. So why are they faking a #bestfriend relationship for millions of online spectators?
When a simple case of tit-for-tat trends between nonfriends leads to a wholly unexpected kind of pretend, nothing is simple. Sometimes, it takes a public audience to reveal the truth of private feelings, and rarelyโvery rarelyโyou should believe what you see online.
Penny Reid is writing an opposites-attract fake relationship romance? Iโm in! Is anything really real online anymore? Besides this blog and my love of romance that is! I love how Reid tackles real world topics and looks at social issues while also giving me a love story with all the feels. Plus, this cover- itโs almost reason enough alone to read this one!
Bedhead
by Brooke Blaine
An MM Romance
Releasing March 15
I hate Drew Edwards. Smug, charming, flippant, and a royal pain, Drew has a way of making everyone fall in love with him, but I know the truth. Under that public persona is a ruthless man whoโll do anything to come out on top. Heโs done it to me beforeโฆand a leopard doesnโt change his spots.
Hudson Montgomery hates me. If anything, his hate only fuels my desire to provoke the man at every opportunity. So, when the chance to publish the most scandalous book of the year comes down to our companies, Iโm determined to do whatever I have to in order to take Hudson down.
This book was supposed to be released in January so itโs been trying to make my top 10 new releases list for some time! I love Blaineโs MM romance books and I have a feeling this one is going to be oh so good. Kicking off the Hate to Love You world, I never turn down a great enemies to lovers story, so this is a must read this month (hopefully ๐).
Beauty and the Baller
by Ilsa Madden-Mills
A Fake Relationship, Sports Romance
Releasing March 29
After losing his career and his fiancรฉe in a car accident, NFL quarterback Ronan Smith falls into a pit of grief and bad choices. When a mysterious girl shows up to his party, he feels drawn to her and makes her hisโฆfor one night.
Fast-forward two years when Nova Morgan returns home to Blue Belle, Texas, and finds her broody neighbor is none other than Ronan, the shiny new football coach everyone adores. Her disastrous one-night stand.
The two begin fake dating to hold off those hoping to fix them up, but things heat up for real under these Friday-night lights when he realizes sheโs the one who slipped away.
This is another book that caught my eye just from the cover. Must be all the yellow this month! I canโt remember what the last Madden-Mills book I read was so itโs high time I read another which is why this made my Most Anticipated Romance Books of 2022 list.
How to Be a Wallflower
by Eloisa James
A Historical Romance
Releasing March 29
Miss Cleopatra Lewis is about to be launched in society by her aristocratic grandfather. But since she has no intention of marrying, she visits a costume emporium specifically to order unflattering dresses guaranteed to put off any prospective suitors.
Powerful and charismatic Jacob Astor Addison is in London, acquiring businesses to add to his theatrical holdings in Americaโas well as buying an emerald for a young lady back in Boston. Heโs furious when a she-devil masquerading as an English lady steals Quimbyโs Costume Emporium from under his nose.
Jake strikes a bargain, offering to design her โwallflower wardrobeโ and giving Cleo the chance to design his. Cleo canโt resist the fun of clothing the rough-hewn American in feathers and flowers. And somehow in the middle of their lively competition, Jake becomes her closest friend.
It isnโt until Cleo becomes the toast of all society that Jake realizes sheโs stolen his fiercely guarded heart.
Costumes, witty wagers, sensualityโฆwhat more could I want in a historical romance?! Itโs probably blasphemy that I havenโt read a Jamesโ book so Iโm going to correct that this month. Sometimes I just need a bit of historical romance love to make everything right in the world.
