Every year, I get so excited looking ahead at all the new romance books coming from my favorite authors, and 2027 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for romance readers!
There are returning couples I absolutely adore, new books in some of my favorite series, and romances from authors who have earned a permanent spot on my must-read list. Plus, a few intriguing storylines and gorgeous covers have already convinced me to add even more books to my TBR.
I’ve narrowed it down to the 27 new romance books of 2027 I’m most excited to read, starting with my five biggest anticipated releases.

There are so many romance books I’m excited to read in 2027, but these five are the ones I’m counting down the days to get my hands on!
Unrivaled

Releasing June 1, 2027
I was obsessed with Shane and Ilya before the show even aired, so for Rachel to give us a THIRD book about one of my favorite couples in romance has me over the moon! These two have weathered quite a bit, from inner demons to backlash in the NHL and the public eye, and I cannot wait to see where Rachel takes them next.
The Two-Body Problem

Ali is just one of those authors I’ll read every single time. It’s one thing to fall in love with a couple on the pages, but another to see what happens after they say “I love you” and what their relationship looks like in the real world. In this case, we get more of Adam and Olive as they navigate their careers at the university. (Plus, another movie to devour in 2027!)
Longtime Listener

The previous two books in Borison’s Heartstrings series were five-star reads for me, so I’m hoping to round out the series with another banger! I’m not ready to let go of this Baltimore radio station, but give me an enemies-to-lovers romance featuring the head of the station, and I have a feeling this will be a wonderful send-off.

Nothing could keep me from reading Ethan’s happily ever after! This man has appeared in Cara’s last three novels, and after reading No Matter What, I NEED to know what happens to him. When Cara shared the personal story behind this novel during her visit to the SRRB Book Club, it hit us all with a gut punch. I’ll definitely be reading this one with a box of tissues beside me.
Only in Summer
