I’ve missed Cosway’s writing so I jumped at the chance to read this even though I’ve read very few paranormal romance books. And I have to say that I enjoyed it.
The thing with fantasy and paranormal series is that you have to be in for the long haul with these stories and yet for book one I felt like I got a full, complete book.
Great world building, a good story, intrigue, romance and just enough of a hook to want to see what happens next.
Cosway always writes great characters and excels at great world building and I felt like she did that again this this book.
In this she crafts a city that included humans, vampires, witches, warlocks and the like. There were also several intriguing characters that I’m sure will continue to play vital roles in the future books.
Tegan was likeable if not a bit immature and man the girl couldn’t keep her mouth shut sometimes 😊 And Ethan was pretty delightful too. I liked their chemistry and look forward to seeing what happens between them.
