Jackson needs a job and he needs money, but what he doesnโt need is to lust after his new employer, especially after the past heโs still paying for. Despite his attraction, he takes on the role as the new bodyguard for sexy rock star, Stone.
Stone is known for mixing it up in the sheets with men and women alike, but itโs his new bodyguard that makes him think that maybe heโs interested in more than just a fling.
The more time they spend together, the more they canโt stop his feelings. But one is the boss and one is the employee and that line canโt be crossed. Or maybe it can, but just one time only.
First rule of being a bodyguard, donโt fall for the client.
While Jackson may be good at his job, he totally breaks that rule when he starts working for Stone -the hot rock star.
I actually first met Jackson and Stone in her prequel novella, Maybe This Time, when he applies for the job as his bodyguard. Their attraction and chemistry is evident from the start, so I was excited to see where Blakely would take them in her second MM romance.
Iโll be honest, during the first half of the book, even I was getting blue balls waiting for them to finally act on their attraction.
I mean, I get it. Itโs not a smart move to start something with your boss, especially when you really need the job, but when you have chemistry, you have chemistry.
I did love that there was more to their attraction and relationship than just an immediate physical attraction. Spending so much time together, they talked a lot, so despite them being opposites, you could really see that this wasnโt going to be just a superficial fling.
And let me tell you, once they move from โdonโt touchโ to โletโs touch,โ itโs ALL about the sexy times between these two.
So yeah, if youโre looking for a MM romance with LOTS of bedroom scenes โ this is a book for you.
Of course once they finally give into their feelings, thereโs the small matter of figuring out what to do with their feelings since they do have a working relationship.
Plus, thereโs also the question of whether they even want the same things since Stone only ever has flings and Jackson has been burned by love before.
I did enjoy reading it and itโs what Iโve come to expect from Blakely โ a good story with lots of steaminess. Could it have had more depth, yes, but that doesnโt necessarily detract from what it is.
If you like MM romances and books with bodyguards, then check this one out.
