Sawyer: My Review

Lucky River Ranch is the place to be if you’re in your cowboy romance era!

Jessica Peterson has written one of my favorite small town romance series featuring some hot and sexy cowboys at the Lucky River Ranch and she continues the fun with Sawyer’s love story.

In it, she really explores the joys and struggles of single parenthood where two single parents end up having a hot and heavy one-night stand only to run into each other again in their small Texas town.

I adored how Jessica made Sawyer and Ava’s night not only pretty hot but also really fun for both of them. It was a night for them to kick back and just “be” while finding that perfect someone whom you can let your guard down with and feel wanted again. I loved that for Sawyer and Ava who could giggle, and banter and enjoy themselves all over the penthouse!

The rest of the story focuses on their strong connection but also Ava’s reluctance to enter into anything serious as she has no plans to marry again given her previous relationship with her ex-husband. Whereas Sawyer is looking for his better half to marry, settle down with, and start a family.

It was adorable how their two girls got along so well and how both Ava and Sawyer had to learn to rely on and accept help without the guilt.

While I would have liked to have seen Sawyer do some more “cowboying” as Ava calls it, it was fun to get a taste of barrel racing which I desperately want to watch now.

If you love single parent romance, dirty talkers and found family romances, then Sawyer is the book for you. It can be read as a standalone (it’s book three in the series), but I highly suggest circling back to the previous two books because they are fantastic and not to be missed. You have to meet Sawyer’s hot brothers with more to come!
