The Best Fantasy Reverse Harem Books
After the loss of my mother and her Bonded, I was relieved to find my own Bonds. I was sure everything would be okay if I had them. It wasn’t.
The fate of our people is in my hands and I know we’re better off if I’m alone. After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from.
I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure. North, Nox, Gryphon, Atlas, and Gabe may never forgive me but one thing is for sure. I won’t ever forgive myself.
I was really struck by this idea that you can be bonded to another and not just one but several people. Lucky Oli has FIVE bonds though they are NOT happy with her, oh no!
Even if reverse harem books aren’t your go-to, I recommend giving this one a try because there really is no steaminess in book one of the series, just a really good setup to Oli and the history of why she left her Bonds and why they less than happy with her.
If you like fantasy reverse harem with a taste of paranormal then check this out though be warned that it definitely ends on a cliffhanger so you’ll be grabbing book two in the six-book series soon after reading it!
I’m not so different from most people. Like everyone else, I have life goals.
I want to become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am. And I want to convince the four men I’ve been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete.
Then figure out who/what I am and why I can’t remember anything past the five years I’ve been haunting this quad.
A paranormal reverse harem romance book with a ghost? Yes, please! This is another favorite reverse harem book that is super popular on Goodreads and has fans devouring the entire series.
While Keyla may be a ghost, her four roommates aren’t just plain Jane humans. They are their own supernatural beings with a very interesting job.
I love the uniqueness of this fantasy reverse harem book which you can’t pass up.
Lola Barnes only wants one thing, to get her life under control. No more chasing alphas who abuse and toss away betas like her.
No more hiding in her cousin’s apartment licking wounds that won’t heal. Armed with her dream job and her less than dreamy apartment, Lola is ready to start a new chapter of her life without alphas.
But that’s easier said than done when one stumbling incident after another leads Lola closer to an alluring pack of captivating men.
These alphas are everything Lola dreamed of, but they already have an omega—a playful male model who won’t stop flirting with her.
And Lola is only a beta, one who comes with deep scars and an unshakeable aversion to alphas and their powerful presences. If only she could resist their perfect beta, Leo, whose patience and determination to see her heal breaks down one wall after another.
When the alpha who all but destroyed Lola tries to start a game of cat and mouse that’s all claws, the safest place for Lola may be the one she’s most terrified of, in the arms of an alpha pack.
This was my first taste of an omegaverse romance and I am hooked! It’s the perfect, light fantasy reverse harem romance where Lola slowly heals from a relationship gone very wrong that left her pretty scared of alphas.
I loved Leo, the first of the pack to connect with Lola, as he was so patient and kind to the skittish heroine, and the alphas never pushed Lola for more than she was willing to give.
While the story could have been a bit tighter, things sure did get pretty steamy once the omega’s heat began. Yowza!
More Must-Read Reverse Harem Fantasy Books
You’d think being in charge of love would be an epic job, right? Wrong.
Sure, I’m a cupid, so I can blow Lust into people’s faces and watch the show, but I can’t actually participate. It gets old, trust me.
Same goes for love. I can pass it out like sugar-free lollipops at a dentist’s office, but I can’t get any for myself.
I’m stuck in this never-ending afterlife where I’m invisible, lonely, and bitter. And yeah, I’m probably responsible for some terrible matchmaking out there. But can you blame a girl?
Apparently, my cupid bosses can, because I get exiled to the fae world. And while I’m here, I accidentally attack a fae prince with Love Arrows. But hey, he deserved it.
What I didn’t expect was for him to retaliate and that I’d be pushed into the physical realm.
That’s right. This cupid just got a real body. And you know what that means. Now, it’s my turn to get some. Love, I mean. Wink, wink.
I absolutely love the setup of this fantasy reverse harem book from Raven Kennedy who is also known for her young adult fantasy romance series, The Plated Prisoner series.
This is a slow burn, why choose, fantasy reverse harem romcom BUT there is no steam in this one. Sure, cupid wants to finally get her some but that doesn’t happen in this one, book one of a four-book series.
Yes, there are multiple mates with great banter but it’s setting up the world and story. I personally love that it features a human cupid. You’ll just have to see if it works for you!
In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa.
Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.
At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.
Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power.
They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up in a grave, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.
This is another fantasy reverse harem romance with strong paranormal elements that should earn a place on your TBR list because it’s hugely popular on Goodreads and fantasy romance fans.
I love that Willa Knight is a non-magical being who is a complete walking disaster of epic proportions. She even joins in on a bet about who can get her the dreaded sentence the fastest but I guess it works in her favor that she buddies up with five brothers.
Check it out if you like quirky heroines and then be prepared to read the entire five-book Curse of the Gods series.
Four elite fae warriors. One mortal female. A magical bond they can’t allow—or resist.
Orphaned and sold to a harsh master, Lera’s life is about mucking stalls, avoiding her master’s advances, and steering clear of the mystical forest separating the mortal and fae worlds.
Only fools venture into the immortal realms, and only dark rumors come out… Until four powerful fae warriors appear at Lera’s barn.
River, Coal, Tye, and Shade have waited a decade for their new fifth to be chosen, the wounds from their quint brother’s loss still raw.
But the magic has played a cruel trick, bonding the four immortal warriors to… a female. A mortal female.
Distractingly beautiful and dangerously frail, Lera can only be one thing—a mistake. Yet as the males bring Lera back to the fae lands to sever the bond, they discover that she holds more power over their souls than is safe for anyone… especially for Lera herself.
This is book one in the Power of Five saga that is full of fae magic, unbreakable fated mate bonds, and the ultimate battle between good and evil.
I love that it is a fantasy reverse harem book where the human heroine is completely overlooked and underestimated only to prove she is more than she seems.
It’s also another reverse harem romance where the characters are bonded, even against their will, so tune in to see how that works out for them all 😊.
I was born of nothing. I’m a Void, a rare supernatural capable of absorbing powers at the brush of my skin.
Feared. Hated. Untouchable.
Thibault Academy is full of supernaturals that want me gone, and the most powerful of them, the Paragons, will stop at nothing to ensure I go back to the hell I came from.
They’re cruel, heartless, and have created an unlikely alliance to take me down.
If I want to learn how to control the nothingness, I’ll have to survive them. I was born of the void, but its power will end me.
This is another fantasy reverse harem book with Raven Kennedy at the helm but this time it’s a bully romance.
I adore that it is a standalone reverse harem romance because sometimes I’m just not interested in getting invested in an entire series or reading more than one book because things get steamy! So, thank you Kenndy and June!
Check it out to learn more about these supernaturals, their powers, and their skills in the bedroom that make them unique.
One ordinary woman. Four extraordinary men. A power that could ruin them all.
Driven by a promise to keep her identity secret, tenacious Evelyn Maynard is all alone in the world. But a scholarship to the exclusive Bradford Hills Institute offers her a safe haven and a fresh start. Or so she thought.
Eve is one of the only humans at her new school, brimming with those born with Variant DNA – and coveted superhuman abilities.
Bound by shared tragedy, Ethan, Josh, Tyler and Alec – and their unique powers – are revered amongst Variants. But something has always been missing and she may have just arrived with a scholarship and a glint in her enchanting, curious eyes.
Together, they could be unimaginably powerful, but being bonded by the Light itself isn’t always a blessing, and Eve’s dangerous past could curse them all.
Because she’s not the only one keeping secrets…
Can they learn to trust each other in time to save themselves from an insidious danger no one saw coming?
Another great recommendation for a fantasy reverse harem book with lots of paranormal elements is Variant Lost if you like young adult romance that reads more like new adult romance.
Eve’s mother had them on the run her entire life but when she loses her mother, she’s accepted into a school for Variants though she is human.
I love how Eve finally finds a home for the first time while also feeling drawn to four Variants with their own unique powers.
If you like X-Men then you’ll enjoy this romance that is a bit light on steam as it’s book one in a trilogy that is more about setting the stage than jumping into any relationships with instalove.
My name is Vinna, and I’ve been keeping a lot of secrets.
You would too if you’d experienced some of the weird stuff I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don’t get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.
Lucky for me, I have yet to meet someone whose butt I couldn’t kick, inside the ring or out. I put that to the test when I run headfirst into a fight that brings all my secrets, and reality as I know it, crashing down around me.
Now, I’m looking for answers and trying to piece together what the hell is going on. Paranormal is my new way of life. It’s not going to be easy, and I’m not exactly welcome.
That is, until I meet the boys, and trust me, they are anything but boyish.
I’m up against elders who think I’m too powerful, a family who views me as a threat, and something lurking in the shadows that’s been coming for me my whole life.
There’s not a chance in hell I’m going down without a fight. I’m not lost anymore, and I’m about to show this world exactly what I can do.
You’re going to love this fantasy reverse harem if you love strong heroines but it’s either a hit or a miss with readers. Either way it’s super popular so I say give it a try if you love paranormal romance!
It starts off with some background to Vinna and her fighting rings but then it builds to her joining others like her with powers and coming to find her harem of boys.
I for one want to see what this girl can do!
I’ve walked the streets of Phoenix Valley for twenty-two years knowing exactly who I am – an orphan, a human, a nobody. Summoned by The Hex to test my humanity, I was prepared to fail, destined to be the same mundane girl …
I was wrong. Pandora’s Box called to me, sensing a magic I never knew existed.
With my world turned upside down and full of possibilities, I must now call Paradise Heights home. To live amongst supernaturals, attend Saints Academy, and find my place.
Curiosity has me willing to give this a try, but the Elites of Saints Academy tempt to distract me, and that’s something I can’t afford. Xander is gruff, Khaos cold, Zen soothing, and Adonis … lives up to his name.
Angel, Demon, God, Vampire, Shifter. I could be anything, anyone. I have three years to figure out who I’m meant to be…
Let the countdown begin.
This is another fantasy reverser harem book with magic at play but with a lot of paranormal beings making up the Elite who catch Rhea’s eye.
I love the blend of demons, gods, vampires, shifters, and more, and especially adore the nods to Greek mythology in this one!
New town, new school. Same story. I’m Laura, I’ve spent most of my life crisscrossing the county yielding to the whims of my transient mother.
We’ve never stayed in one place long enough to call it home, and I don’t have any hope of that changing.
I follow the rules; no drawing attention to myself, no friends, and especially no boys.
But my mom’s been keeping secrets, secrets so profound they threaten to turn my world upside down.
I’ve always assumed her paranoia was a symptom of a mental illness, but as her secrets begin to unravel, I realize nothing is what it seems.
As my life careens out of control a group of guys from school promise to give me answers about who I really am.
I’m afraid of what I might learn, but more afraid of what I could be giving up if I don’t listen.
This is another fantasy reverse harem book that sort of sets the stage for the rest of the series so it’s not very steamy if you want to dip your feet in and see if it’s worth continuing.
It’s really a book about the relationships between Laura and her four guys that even gives some MM action. Check it out if you like young adult reverse harem stories.
All I wanted was to keep my head above water. To survive long enough to hit my eighteenth birthday so I could escape the nightmare that my homelife had become.
But all of that was turned upside down the moment they showed up.
The best friend from my past. The surly brooder. The kind-hearted nerd. The king of campus. The dark one.
They say they’re here to give me a fresh start in a place where I’m safe, warm, and cared for. And I can’t deny the pull I feel to all five of them.
The buzz that lights beneath my skin when they touch me. And for the first time, I feel like I might belong.
But not everything is as it seems. These guys have secrets. Ones that will rip my world wide open. But when a dark evil begins stalking us, we’re all in for the fight of our lives.
I adore reverse harem books where each of the guys has distinct personalities and brings something different to the table. Well, these five guys sure do which gives new meaning to “why choose?”
It’s another paranormal reverse harem book with an academic setting which seems to be extremely popular in the sub-genre so if you can’t get enough of these books then add this to your TBR list.
Growing up in Emerald Lakes, population six hundred and eighty-two, had been safe and comfortable. Running my own magic shop and making a living off my green witchcraft, I have no complaints.
Sure, there’s my ex, who never understood the word ‘no’, but there’s also the lovable and eccentric townspeople who feel more like one huge extended family, and let’s not forget my boy-crazed Gran who keeps us all on our toes.
But something has apparently been missing, and the stars take it upon themselves to correct the problem, dropping four hot men at my door. Well, not literally.
They move into the apartment above my shop, so I’m their landlord. Drawn in by these mages who blew into town on a work assignment, a whole different kind of magic starts to grow between us, but my powers are doing things they shouldn’t, and there’s also a pesky prophecy to unravel.
Strange, unnatural things are brewing in Emerald Lakes, and I can’t ignore the sinking suspicion that something life-changing is headed my way.
Discovering a whole new world of magic, I can only hope I don’t lose myself in the madness.
I love that this fantasy reverse harem book is all about magic and mystery. But of course, there are four hot men on a secret mission too and there are all kinds of pairings between the characters going on.
This is definitely one of the more steamy reverse harem books despite it being book one in the series so if that’s what you’re looking for, this should be the book for you.
All Mina ever wanted was to escape her father’s control. Half human, half vampire, she lived eternally torn between two worlds, never fully experiencing the pleasures of either―until her father chose her as the pawn in his latest political move, gifting her to the darkly powerful and dangerously seductive Malachi Zion.
Malachi is not a vampire to be trifled with. He rules with an iron fist and has a reputation for the darkest of sins.
But the longer Mina spends with him, the more she realizes he’s not the monster she first thought―and as fear bleeds into lust, then trust, then something more, Malachi opens Mina up to a world she never knew could be hers for the taking: including the love of Malachi’s two closest friends and companions.
Now surrounded by all three men, the center of their shockingly seductive world, Mina may finally have the power to face down her father and take back the life―and crown―that by all rights should be hers.
I couldn’t help but include this paranormal reverse harem book because I fell in love with Katee Robert’s writing after reading the Neon Gods series.
She is not afraid to go big with her stories or her scenes and boy does she bring the steam in this one when it comes to Mina and her three vampire men.
While definitely more paranormal than fantasy, check it out if you love vampire romance books and books with a lot of steam!
662 – Days since the zombies rose up
413 – Days since I’ve spoken to another living human
4 – Men who have climbed my fence looking for safety
1 – Last chance for Love
Kelsey survived the start of the apocalypse and thrived in the new world with help from her friends but now they’re gone.
Alone for over a year and mentally broken with high anxiety, she pushes through every day trying to find the will to keep going. Until three sweet, hot men and one hot a**hole climbs her fence looking for sanctuary.
With her best friend, Tara haunting her with outrageous antics, she needs to decide if she wants to keep losing herself a little bit day by day or if she can grab on to what these men offer her and maybe find love.
I love it when romance authors take on the apocalypse as a setting in their books. I’m always so curious as to where they will take the end of days.
But don’t worry, this isn’t a gory zombie novel but a fun, fantasy reverse harem book where the men just want to protect the heroine and give us a lot of steam in the process.
