Having finally redeemed his family name, the Duke of Westmead now needs to produce an heir. Which means he must find a wife who won’t discover his secret craving to spend his nights on his knees.

Poppy Cavendish has never wanted to marry. Her only desire has been to build a successful botany business to keep her independence. But when her reputation is ruined, Westmead proposes a marriage of convenience which she cannot refuse.

I loved this historical romance! Peckham is a new author to me but her writing captivated me with this story and amazing characters.

Poppy is a fantastic, strong heroine who doesn’t shirk away at her attraction to Westmead.

Westmead is a tortured hero hiding a secret that once out to his wife becomes a uniting interest instead of a divisive one. As far as book boyfriends go he is a keeper. He was quite the gentleman and always looking out for Poppy.

This is my first historical erotic romance and it was amazing, yet the slight look at BDSM was not a huge part of the story if that’s not your thing.

This romance was the perfect slow burn romance. The latter part of the story started to veer off for me but then it righted itself otherwise it would have been a 5 star read for sure!
