The Best Colleen Hoover Book:
It Ends With Us
by Colleen Hoover
#1 New York Times Bestseller for 2022
4.29 of 2,289,682 ratings on Goodreads
Winner: 2016 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance
It Ends With Us Summary:
When Lily feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan – her first love and a link to the past she left behind.
He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
Why It Ends With Us is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
Itโs not hard to understand why It Ends With Us is Colleen Hooverโs most popular book and one of her best!
Drawing from her motherโs life, this story is not only a beautiful love story but also a pretty devastating one as well given the choices Lily has to make.
I consider this one of the best Colleen Hoover books because the writing is fantastic, the story progression is amazing, and it makes you really feel for ALL the characters.
Itโs quite an author who can make you fall for two people in the same book and feel the same heartbreak as the heroine when she realizes one love is not to be.

2nd Best Colleen Hoover Book
It Starts With Us
by Colleen Hoover
New York Times Bestseller – #4 New York Times Bestseller for 2022
3.98 of 701,912 ratings on Goodreads
2022 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominee for Best Romance
It Starts With Us Summary:
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil co-parenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again.
After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.
But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life, and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughterโs life.
Why It Starts With Us is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
I loved It Ends With Us but Colleen Hoover gave her readers a true gift with It Starts With Us.
It wasnโt hard to become captivated by Atlas and Lilyโs relationship when they first met as teens but to see them finally gets their second chance at love was so beautiful.
Though I loved their second chance romance, it really was another side story to It Starts With Us that totally captured my heart as well made this one of the best Colleen Hoover books (I canโt explain more for fear of spoilers!). And that conversation in the car with Atlas that gave the book its titleโฆWOW!
Check out my It Starts With Us review.
3rd Best Colleen Hoover Book:
Reminders of Him
by Colleen Hoover
New York Times Bestseller – #7 New York Times Bestseller for 2022

But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughterโs life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.
The only person who hasnโt closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kennaโs daughter.
But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kennaโs life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk.
Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.
Why Reminders of Him is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
Reminders of Him is one of the best Colleen Hoover books because of Kenna hands down.
She absolutely steals the show in this book as a young woman who has endured so much, lived through so much, and despite being continually knocked down, does not give up.
Colleen Hoover does such a great job flushing out each of these characters that you feel what they feel, understand what they feel, and yet wish so much more for all of them.
The best part of Reminders of Him for me was seeing Kennaโs strength, her growth, and her absolute devotion to the daughter that she never met. Simply the name that she chose for her daughter took my breath away making this one of the top Colleen Hoover books you must read.
Check out my review of Reminders of Him.
4th Best Colleen Hoover Book:
Ugly Love
by Colleen Hoover
New York Times Bestseller – #5 New York Times Bestseller for 2022
4.14 of 1,262,671 ratings on Goodreads
2014 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominee for Best Romance
Ugly Love Summary:
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldnโt even go so far as to consider themselves friends.
The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction.
Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesnโt want love, she doesnโt have time for love, so that just leaves one thing.
Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they canโt handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered. Love gets ugly.
Why Ugly Love is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
Ugly Love is one of the best Colleen Hoover books because it pulls you in with characters you must know everything about. It’s why Miles still stays with me as one of the best romance heroes with wounded hearts.
They are characters that you completely fall for as they fall for each other and boy does your heart go through the wringer with this one. But no fear, Colleen Hoover patches it up again in the best way.
I legit ugly cried while reading this one but thatโs what Colleen Hooverโs books do โ make you feel and feel hard and Iโm all for it which is why this is one of my top Colleen Hoover books.
5th Best Colleen Hoover Book:
Maybe Someday
by Colleen Hoover
4.10 of 373,021 ratings on Goodreads
2014 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominee for Best Romance
Maybe Someday Summary:
At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori.
But everything changes when she discovers Hunter’s cheating on her–and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony.
When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
Why Maybe Someday is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
This was actually the first Colleen Hoover book I read and I donโt think it gets enough attention like some of other books.
Maybe Someday is one of the best Colleen Hoover books because itโs just so unique. Forced proximity while living together as roommates definitely has a way of bringing two people together but its not simple at all when it comes to their growing feelings (again no spoilers โ ah!!).
And thatโs why this book is so good because you donโt know what they should do given their situation and growing feelings. Itโs so complicated and yet so beautiful.
I also loved how they connected over music and how they became the best of friends surely making this one of the top Colleen Hoover books in my mind and among Coho fans!
6th Best Colleen Hoover Book:
Hopeless
by Colleen Hoover
4.28 of 438,013 ratings on Goodreads
Hopeless Summary:
Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies. Thatโs what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder.
He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing heโs nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her.
After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isnโt at all who heโs been claiming to be.
When the secrets heโs been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Skyโs life will change forever.
Why Hopeless is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:
Hopeless is another one of the best Colleen Hoover books because there is so much more the story than what first appears on the surface. And isnโt that true for so many of Colleen Hooverโs books?!
You may think that Hopeless is just a coming-of-age story, high school romance from the book summary, but of course Colleen Hoover makes it so much more of an emotional read that you donโt see coming.
I thought Hopeless was very well written with great pacing and with a slow unraveling of their back stories and the climactic โahaโ moment.
As one of Hooverโs earlier works, I definitely ranked it as one of the best.
Check out my review of Hopeless.

Why Slammed is One of the Best Colleen Hoover Books:

Layken and Will have such layers to their characters which is something that Colleen Hoover brings to all of her heroes and heroines.
