Chase Kincaid is thrown when she receives a letter sent to her familyโs sports agency that was sent five years earlier from a baseball prospect that never came to be because he enlisted in the army.
Something about that letter pulls on Chase so sheโs off to find the mystery ball player โ and possibly pull some good PR from him for her company. She just didnโt expect to fall for him.
Bromberg does it AGAIN!
Just when I think this series canโt get any better, Bromberg does it again โ and I think this is now my new favorite!
Let me just say that this book had me from the first moment Chase and Gunner meet. Their flirting was so much fun to read and the sparks were jumping off the page.
I just really liked both of these characters and couldnโt wait to see how their connection played out.
Turns out it was equal parts sweet, hot and emotional in the way they opened up to each other, shared their deepest truths and just fell head over heels. And I was right there with them!
Bromberg found this amazing balance in her storytelling, making it truly about these characters without letting it get too bogged down into the emotional depth of PTSD or added drama.
Gunner and Chase felt so completely real to me in their feelings and interactions which I loved.
Gunner was seriously one amazing guy and gets all the book boyfriend stars.
I loved how open he was and how he loved Chase for who she is โ smart and confident! He also planned the best dates.
It was easy to also love Chase who had great self-confidence, said what she felt and was kind and supportive.
The book is told from dual points of view which I love so you can understand what both Chase and Gunner were feeling along the way.
The ending was a bit abrupt in its resolution but the two epilogues made up for it.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series which made my best sports romance book list! A must read.
