I was never supposed to see him again. It was supposed to be just one night. No strings and not names. Just the best night of my life.
Still riding the high from last night, I walk in to meet my new client, and heโs wearing that same dangerous smirk that reeled me in hours ago.
Billionaire heir apparent Callahan Sharpe is determined to complete one final project to honor his late fatherโs legacy before walking away from the family business.
Luckily and unluckily for me, Iโve been tasked to go to the Virgin Islands to help accomplish his goal. Callahan has no problem breaking his companyโs no fraternization rule, but not me. Thereโs too much at stake.
What could possibly go wrong when youโre forced to workโand liveโside by side with a man you canโt resist?
I could not put this book down! Just when I think Iโve read my favorite K. Bromberg book, she delivers another that knocks my socks off!
Why did I wait so long to read this book?!
I adore K. Bromberg and boy did she deliver a fantastic book that kicks off a brand new series that I am ALL IN for.
I love it when a book just completely hooks me from the start and delivers the full package to the very end.
This book had THE BEST banter between Sutton and Callahan.
I mean, Brombergโs dialogue was just so immensely perfect that I was desperate to read the next come-back and the next innuendo that was going to come from both of their mouths.
Callahan was the alpha, hot billionaire I totally expected him to be, yet he also came with a soft side that only Sutton could pull out.
He tried his best to stick to him M-O and just be done with her after one night but she totally got under his skin and I loved watching him squirm when she denied him more.
The tension between these two was THICK but I loved how Bromberg gave Sutton a chance to gain and own her own power after leaving a narcissist ex who totally controlled her with verbal abuse and mind games.
At the same time, Sutton helped Callahan find his own worth.
The whole forced proximity setup was perfect. I canโt believe this book only had 3 bedroom scenes but that was all it took and boy were they hot!
What I loved best was the verbal sparring (similar to The Rivals by Vi Keeland). Plus, Suttonโs response to Callahan replacing her panties with granny panties was the BEST SCENE EVER!
But it was also the intimate moments that came too where they shared pieces of themselves and exposed their emotional core that really drove this book along and solidified their connection to me.
Fantastic writing, the best characters and banter, and overall wonderful book โ I cannot recommend this enough.
Itโs definitely one of the best romance books of 2022!
