I can’t believe my luck because SO MANY of my favorite authors are dropping new titles this month.
One author (yes you Kate Stewart!) totally surprised me when she announced her release and I cannot tell you the range of feelings I felt seeing what’s to come.
OMG, I don’t know how I’m going to make it through this one! But I CANNOT wait!
I’ve also got a relationship coach romance (which I adore), a small-town romance, a few fake relationship books, and even a new, young adult romance on the list as well.

My Most Anticipated New Romance Book Releases for July 2022
For You and No One Else
by Roni Loren
A Contemporary Romance
Releasing July 5
Eliza Catalano has the perfect life. So what if it actually looks nothing like the story she tells online?
As a therapist, it’s part of her job to look like she has all the answers, right?
But when Eliza ends up as a viral “Worst Date Ever” meme, everything in her Instagram-filtered world begins to crumble.
Enter the most obnoxiously attractive man she’s ever met, and a bet she can’t resist: if she swears off social media for six months, Beck Carter’ll teach her the wonders of surviving the “real world.”
No technology, no dating apps, no pretty filters, no BS.
It seems like the perfect deal—but something about Beck’s raw honesty speaks to Eliza in ways she never expected.
She knows he’s supposed to be completely hands-off…but as complex feelings grow and walls come tumbling down, rough-around-the-edges Beck may be exactly what Eliza needs to finally, truly face herself—and decide who she really wants to be.
Roni Loren has blown me away with her Say Everything series so I’m anxiously awaiting this release because I know it’s going to be just so good.
It’s always fun to read romance books that involve a bet because feelings always get in the way and I love it.
This new romance book release is the perfect way to kick off the month! My Review.
Tease
by Melanie Harlow
Billionaire, Fake Relationship Romance
Releasing July 11
I didn’t mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire–it just slipped out in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion.
Lucky for me, Hutton French my hot billionaire friend is willing to show up and play my fake fiancé for the night.
Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire and before I know it we decide to keep up the rouse.
I even take Hutton up on his suggestion to move in with him to make the ruse more real and that’s when the kissing and undressing begins.
We’re just role-playing I have to remember, but when I start to catch feelings will I come to find out it’s all just a big tease?
I really think Harlow has outdone herself in this spin-off series revolving around the second generation from her original Cloverleigh Farms and Frenched series.
She’s tackling all of my favorite romance book tropes in this new series and I’m so ready for this billionaire, fake relationship story!
Love Lessons
by Sarina Bowen
Relationship Coach Romance
Releasing July 12
My hockey team says I have an image problem, so I go through the motions but draw the line at hiring my neighbor to style me.
Vera and I don’t see eye to eye on anything. She wants me to try on clothes, while I just want to remove hers.
But when management threatens my summer vacation, I grudgingly agree to Vera’s unusual proposal: she’ll give me an image makeover. But in return, she wants lessons in the art of seduction.
It sounds a little nutty, but I know a good opening when I hear it. Besides, it’s not like I’ll ever fall for her.
I seriously adore lessons in seduction or relationship coach romance books as I call them. They are just so adorable and so hot at the same time!
I honestly can’t get enough of them and I’m so excited that Bowen is tackling this trope with a new Brooklyn Bruisers hockey stud.
Bet On It
by Jodie Slaughter
A Contemporary Romance
Releasing July 12
The first time Aja Owens encounters the man of her dreams, she’s having a panic attack in the frozen foods section of the Piggly Wiggly.
The second time, he’s being introduced to her as her favorite bingo buddy’s semi-estranged grandson.
Walker Abbott is counting down the days until his Gram heals and he can leave Greenbelt, South Carolina and get back to his real life.
Just when he thinks his plan is solid, enter Aja to shake everything up.
A hastily made bingo-based pact is supposed to keep this thing between them from getting out of hand.
Especially when submitting to their feelings means disrupting their carefully balanced lives. But emotions are just like bingo callers—they refuse to be ignored.
I’m so excited to see what Slaughter brings in this romance which made my summer reads of 2022 list.
I have a weakness for romance books with characters struggling with mental illness and I cannot wait to see these two wounded souls find their happily-ever-after together.
Reverse
by Kate Stewart
Forbidden Romance
Releasing July 19
Thirty years ago, my father became the other half of a broken love story. A relationship he’s kept hidden for decades.
Haunted by my father’s love story, and in my quest for answers, I never imagined I would discover a love of my own.
Or that my love for Easton Crowne would be key in discovering the reason behind what split our parents up.
Doomed from the start and knowing the havoc our relationship would inevitably wreak on our families, I could never have prepared for the toll it would take or the cost of the truth.
But in order to find our ending, we had to go back to their beginning.
Words simply cannot capture how freaking excited I am for this book release which came as SUCH a surprise.
I LOVED Drive (which is why it’s on my favorite romance books of all time list) and cannot believe that we are getting a story that revisits the most epic love triangle I’ve ever read but through the eyes of their children.
If you haven’t read Drive yet, you need to get on that stat in anticipation of this book which I have no doubt will be one of the best of 2022 and maybe of all-time! My Review.
Pin This For Later:
The Accidental Pinup
by Danielle Jackson
Enemies to Lovers Romance
Releasing July 19
Photographer Cassie Harris loves her job—her company Buxom Boudoir makes people look beautiful and feel empowered with her modern twist on classic pinup photography.
Cassie’s best friend, Dana, is about to launch her own dangerously dreamy lingerie line and wants Cassie to shoot and direct the career-changing national campaign.
But company politics and Dana’s complicated pregnancy interfere, and Cassie finds herself—a proud plus size Black woman—not behind the camera but in front of it.
Though she’s never modeled herself, Cassie’s pretty sure she can handle the lingerie.
She’s not sure she can work so intimately with the chosen photographer, her long-time competitor in the Chicago photography scene, Reid Montgomery.
Their chemistry is undeniable on set, however, and feelings can develop faster than film.
I cannot wait to read this one! I love enemies to lovers books, but I am over the moon that this romance book is about body-positivity.
I love the idea of pitting a reluctant lingerie model against a photographer in this romance which will be my first time reading Jackson.
The Bodyguard
by Katherine Center
A Fake Relationship Romance
Releasing July 19
Hannah Brooks looks more like a kindergarten teacher than a bodyguard. Her latest assignment: protect superstar actor Jack Stapleton.
Jack Stapleton has been out of the public eye and off the grid, but when his mom gets sick, he comes home to the family’s Texas ranch to help out.
Only one catch: He doesn’t want his family to know about the danger following him or his bodyguard. That’s why Hannah finds herself pretending to be Jack’s girlfriend as a cover.
But the more time she spends with Jack, the more real it all starts to seem. And there lies the heartbreak. Because it’s easy for Hannah to protect Jack.
But protecting her own, long-neglected heart? That’s the hardest thing she’s ever done.
I love this bodyguard romance where the roles are flipped and it’s the woman guarding the man.
Throw in a reluctant fake relationship and I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best of the summer.
Folk Around and Find Out
by Penny Reid
Small Town Romance
Releasing July 21
Hank Weller doesn’t help people. So he certainly doesn’t want to hire Charlotte Mitchell to be an exotic dancer at his club, The Pink Pony.
But after Charlotte’s messy, public divorce made Hank’s club out to be the culprit—and made her the single mother of four kids—he doesn’t need or want any additional bad press courtesy of Charlotte Mitchell.
Too bad she doesn’t understand the word no.
I’ll read anything by Penny Reid really, but I love going back to Green Valley. And honestly, this one had me at single mother wanting to be a stripper 😊.
Hank has been one of those characters in the background that made a big impression and it’s been years waiting for his story to finally be told. I cannot wait.
Boyfriend Material
by Ilsa Madden-Mills
Hockey Romance
Releasing July 25
In prep school Eric Hansen trampled on my heart and kept right on going.
Three years later, he’s living the high life with frat parties and puck bunnies at Hawthorne University.
On the other hand, people barely notice me. I’m the nobody, surviving in the seedy part of town as I struggle to keep my head above treacherous waters.
The avoidance game we’ve been playing was working—until he rescues me from a bad guy and claims he wants to help me more. But I don’t need a knight in shining armor.
Yet, I’m not sure how long I can ignore the undeniable spark between us.
Can this hockey player prove he’s boyfriend material, or will this be a game we both lose?
It’s been a long-time coming for this second book in the Hawthorn University series and I cannot wait to read it.
Bring on a hot hockey player – I’m so there!
Misfit
by Elle Kennedy
Young Adult Romance
Releasing July 26
RJ Shaw is being sent to Sandover Prep for senior year. If there’s one place a misfit hacker like RJ doesn’t belong, it’s an ivy-covered all-boys boarding school for rich delinquents.
RJ doesn’t plan to make friends until he meets a gorgeous girl in the woods on campus. Sloane is pure temptation, and the one girl he is forbidden from touching because she’s the headmaster’s daughter.
RJ wants her bad but Sloane insists she’s swearing off guys this year. And then there’s the small problem of her ex-boyfriend – the ruling king of Sandover.
I adored Kennedy’s turn into young adult romance when she co-wrote The Royals series under the pen name Erin Watt.
I’m not usually one to gravitate toward young adult romance but I’m curious what she has in store for this new series.
