If Tomorrow Never Comes Summary:
Uncertain of what tomorrow brings, Elliott Holland decides to live it upโon the eve of a stem cell transplant to treat her leukemia. Itโs destiny when she crosses paths with handsome and charming Jamie Sullivan. The chemistry is magic. So is a beautiful evening that ends with a bittersweet kiss goodbye and no expectations of ever seeing each other again.
One year later, Elliottโs future looks good. Her cancer is in remission. Her career in graphic design is taking off. And sheโs finally met Carly, the young woman whose stem cell donation gave Elliott a second chance at life. Then, in a twist of fate both blissful and unfair, she meets Carlyโs boyfriend. Itโs Jamie, the man Elliott kissed like it was her last day on earth. Neither of them has ever forgotten it.
Now, the most difficult decisions of all lie ahead. Whatever risks there are to the heart, one need wins out: to grab hold of everything that can make someone feel alive again.
If Tomorrow Never Comes: My Review
I am so glad I read this book and itโs already one of my favorites of the year! This whole book road on the connection between Elliot and Jamie on the night they met and the instant chemistry between them.
Ashley wrote the most amazing meet cute and night together for these two that just had you hoping their happily ever after would come to pass. It gave me the chills, just knowing how right these two were for each other. Their banter was spot on, and their first kiss had me swooning.
But of course, it couldnโt be too easy for these two. My heart went through the wringer, knowing that Elliot was about to embark on a long process to hopefully become cancer-free. The moment when she came face-to-face with Jamie again almost broke my heart because I knew how devastating their situation was for both of them.
This was the perfect love story that just sweeps you up in it without unnecessary drama or angst that I think other authors might have added given the apparent love triangle, but Ashley kept this a wonderful and heartfelt love story that I will be recommending to everyone.
If low steam and closed-door romances are your speed, then this is right up your alley.
It was so well written with amazing characters that were true soulmates from the word go. I highly recommend this book and now need to go binge read everything this woman has ever written!
