High school sweethearts Sarah and Caleb Linwood have always been a sure thing. For the past seventeen years, they have had each otherโs backs through all of lifeโs ups and downs. But Sarah has begun to wonder . . . who is she without her other half?
When she decides to take on a project of her own, a fundraising gala in memory of her late mother, Sarah wants nothing more than to prove to herselfโand to everyone elseโthat she doesnโt need Calebโs help to succeed. Sheโs still her motherโs daughter after all, independent and capable. That is, until the event fails and Caleb uninvitedly steps in to save the day.
The rift that follows unearths a decade of grievances and doubts. Are they truly the same people they were when they got married at nineteen? Are they supposed to be?
In a desperate attempt to fix what they fear is breaking, Sarah and Caleb make the spontaneous decision to get out of their comfort zones and join a grueling hiking trip intended to guide couples through rough patches.
What follows is a life-affirming comedy of errors as two nature-averse people fight their way out of the woods in order to find their way back to their roots.

Story of My Life
by Lucy Score
Hazel Hart was a successful romance novelist until a breakup drives her straight into writerโs block. Having failed (and failed some more) to deliver her new manuscript, sheโs hiding from the world behind a wall of old takeout containers until her publisher lays down the law. If she misses her next deadline, itโs The End.
Desperate for inspiration, Hazel impulse-buys a historic home online and flees Manhattan to tiny Story Lake, PA. Upon her dramatic arrivalโinvolving an incident with a bald eagleโshe discovers the charm of her new home may have been slightly exaggerated.
The house is a wreck and the town is struggling after their biggest employer shut down. Also, since her raccoon-infested home came with a seat on the town council our introverted heroine is stuck with a front row seat to all the small-town shenanigans.
But Hazel isnโt worried. Not since all six-feet-three inches of grouchy contractor Campbell Bishop slapped a bandage on her forehead and unintentionally inspired the heck out of her. Thereโs only one thing to do: Hire Cam and his equally gorgeous brothers to renovate her new spider museumโฆerโฆhouse.
Okay two things. A fake date for โresearch purposesโ will really put her work-in-progress on track. Before Hazel knows it, sheโs writing a romance novel and living one. At least until the drywall dust settles, the town sheโs falling in love with faces bankruptcy, and growly Cam remembers why he canโt live happily ever after.
Wild Side
by Elsie Silver
Iโd always dreamed of my wedding day. But not like this. Not looking into the eyes of the man who betrayed me. But when my nephewโs guardianship is contested, I decide Iโll do whatever it takes to keep him in Rose Hill. Even if it means marrying the enemy.
Rhys Dupris. A man who is secretive, broody, and completely infuriating. A man whose work takes him away for weeks on end and brings him back covered in mysterious bruisesโones he wonโt talk about. In fact, we barely talk at all.
Which would be fine, except when heโs not talking, heโs staring. And the way he looks at me is borderline indecent. The tension between us has always been palpable. But living under the same roof is a dangerous temptation.
I swore I would never forgive him. But that was before I knew the man behind the mask. The one whoโs fierce and protective. The one whoโs gentle and patient. The one who shows up for us when we need him most.
Heโs not at all who I thought he was. And that makes hating my husband so much harderโฆ and loving him just a little too easy.

Itโs Jamie, the man Elliott kissed like it was her last day on earth. Neither of them has ever forgotten it.

Any Trope But You
by Victoria Lavine
Beloved romance author Margot Bradley has a dark secret: she doesnโt believe in Happily Ever Afters. Not for herself, not for her readers, and not even for her characters, for whom she secretly writes alternate endings that swap weddings and babies for divorce papers and the occasional slashed tire. When her Happily Never After document is hacked and released to the public, she finds herself canceled by her readers and dropped by her publisher.
Desperate to find a way to continue supporting her chronically ill sister, Savannah, Margot decides to trade meet-cutes for murder. The fictional kind. Probably. But when Savannah books Margot a six-week stay in a remote Alaskan resort to pen her first murder mystery, Margot finds herself running from a moose and leaping into the arms of the handsome proprietor, making her fear sheโs just landed in a romance novel instead.
The last thing Dr. Forrest Wakefield ever expected was to leave his dream job as a cancer researcher to become a glorified bellhop. What heโs really doing at his familyโs resort is caring for his stubborn, ailing father, and his puzzle-loving mind is slowly freezing overโuntil Margot shows up. But Forrest doesnโt have any room in his life for another person he could lose, especially one with a checkout date.
As long snowy nights and one unlikely trope after another draw Margot and Forrest together, theyโll each have to learn to overcome their fears and set their aside assumptions before Margot leavesโor risk becoming a Happily Never After story themselves.

Stand Your Ground
by Kandi Steiner
I wrote up the contract myself. Legally binding. Crystal clear. No strings. No feelings. Just sex โ and two million dollars in exchange for my time and expertise.
Carter Fabri may be Tampa Bayโs newest rising star, but off the ice, heโs all Bambi eyes and inexperience. He’s a virgin in desperate need of lessons in dominance, seduction, and everything in between.
And I happen to be just the woman to teach him. I donโt need his money. But I do need what it can give me.
Iโm thirty-two, cut off from my family, and one bill away from drowning in student debt. The fantasy Iโve built around my lifestyle is getting harder to maintain. This pay day would secure the lifestyle Iโve worked too hard to let slip through my fingers and finally give me the chance to save for something Iโve always wanted โ something Iโve never told anyone about.
So, I take Carter on as my student. I lay out every rule, every boundary, every carefully controlled term of our arrangement. What I donโt plan for is how quickly he’d catch on โ or how much Iโd enjoy letting him take the reins.
This was supposed to be a lesson in power. But somewhere along the way, I stopped being the one in charge.
I thought I could keep my heart out of it. I thought Iโd accounted for every risk. But some consequences you canโt predict โ no matter how carefully you draft the terms.
Willing Prey
by Allie Oleander
Post-divorce and buried in student loan debt, Claire Collins eagerly enters a spicy business agreement with an acquaintance who wants to explore his primal desires. The deal is simpleโthirty days as his sexual prey, $30,000 in her bank account. All she has to do is give Shane Underwood the hunt of his life.
Claireโs a physical education teacher and perfectly happy to spend her summer having wild, kinky sex instead of working her usual serving job. But once they cross the tree line, she realizes how little she knows about the corporate lawyer paying her to be his prey.
Shane is different in the woods. Brutal. Devastating. Feral.
Thatโs okay with Claireโshe is, too. And sheโs sinking her teeth a little deeper into Shaneโs heart every time he catches her.
My book review of Willing Prey.
Branded
by Saffron A. Kent
It all began with letters. Every word he wrote etched itself into my mind, into my soul.
I had no choice but to fall for him. Was it really so bad that the letters were part of a pen-pal program . . . for prisoners? Or that they werenโtโฏaddressed to me?
Itโs not as if weโd ever meet. Itโs not as if Iโd ever get to look into Beauโs eyes that yearn for the ranch he left behind. Or that Iโd ever get to feel his work-roughened hands dominating my body just as he does my fevered dreams. What harm could there be?
Until one afternoon when I find myself standing in front of Beauโpretending to be someone Iโm not. But the jokeโs on meโฏbecause for all my pretenses, his deception is much crueler . . . The hardened, dangerous,โฏimpossiblyโฏbeautiful man is nothing like the man in the letters.
And itโs too late for me to run.
Check out my book review of Branded.
