Canโt Get Enough Summary:
Sheโs a woman with goals, dreams, ambitionsโalways striving upward. And in the midst of everything, she’s facing her toughest challenge yet: caring for an aging parent.
Who has time for romance? From her experience, there’s a low ROI on relationships. She hasn’t met the man who can keep up with her anyway. Until…him.
Tech mogul Maverick Bell is a dilemma wrapped in an exquisitely tailored suit and knee-melting charm. From their first charged glance at the summer’s hottest party, Hendrix feels like sheโs met her match. Only he canโt be.
Mav may be the first to make her feel this seen and desired and appreciated, but heโs the last one she can have. Forbidden fruit is the juiciest, and this man is off limits if she plans to stay the course sheโs set for herself.
But when Maverick gives chaseโpursuing her, spoiling her, understanding herโis it time to let herself have something more?
Canโt Get Enough: My Review
Kennedy Ryan is THE author for stories that strike with a message while also making your heart soar with love. Canโt Get Enough and the entire Skyland series deserves ALL the stars!
Canโt Get Enough was one of my most anticipated new romance books of 2025 because I KNEW that Kennedy Ryan was going to deliver a book that hooked your heart AND your mind and boy did this one do that in spades.
If anyone ever asks me for a book recommendation that will make them think as well as feel, I always mention Kennedy Ryanโs books and this one has flown to the top of the list along with the rest in her Skyland series.
While I was already anxious for Hendrixโs story having read Before I Let Go and This Could Be Us, this can be read as a standalone. But for the full richness of the story and the sister bond between the three heroines, I highly recommend reading the others before this one or at least This Could Be Us.
Hendrix is FIERCE let me tell you! I loved everything about this heroine โ her tenacity, her drive, her love and care of those around her, her commitment to causes, the self awareness and self-esteem and the standards that she never wavered from when it came to the partner that she deserved.
While I always read romance for the central love story, I also read Kennedy Ryanโs books for the topics she tackles so eloquently and fully.
I loved how Hendrix is a childfree woman by choice and how she defends this choice when she shouldnโt have to and yet demonstrates how love and mothering of others can come in so many other forms.
I loved how she was a self-made woman who was also supporting other Black women through her venture capital fund but whose fund came under attack just as others have in real life.
I loved how Hendrix cared so deeply for her mother who was grappling with Alzheimerโs and how genuine and authentically Kennedy portrayed this illness and its effects on those you love.
All of these issues were weaved so effortlessly into this story in a way that gets to the heart of the matter but without overshadowing the central love story.
But most of all I loved that this book featured a mature, sexy, driven woman who was 40 and not 25!
Which leads me to one of the best book boyfriendsโฆ Maverick. Oh dear lord did Kennedy write a unicorn among all men in the billionaire who seriously had no flaws.
This man was hooked from the start and yet played his cards right, slowly building up a friendship and then pursuing her when the time was as right as it could be. He recognized the goddess in front of him and treated her in kind. Man, did Mav have me swooning on more than one occasion.
โIf you give me the chance, Iโll make you feel like the goddess I see you as.โ
I adored their build-up, his pursuit of Hendrix, and that Kennedy didnโt resort to extreme drama or a third act breakup for a couple made up of two smart people who communicate and put care for one another first and foremost
โLetโs be good to each other.โ
The side story between their assistants was hysterical and just another fun aspect to this story that has so much to love about it.
I honestly didnโt want this story or this series to end, but the epilogue gave the perfect wrap-up to the series.
Thank you Kennedy Ryan for sharing your craft which is honestly out of this world. You write stories unlike any other and Iโm so incredibly grateful for them. Please donโt ever stop writing!
