It’s no wonder that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle purchased the film rights to Meet Me at the Lake given that the romance book includes a character struggling to process the loss of a parent due to a car crash.

As previously mentioned, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle through Archewell Productions bought the film rights to Meet Me at the Lake and are adapting the book for a feature film for Netflix.
This film will be part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s $100 million deal with Netflix that was signed in September 2020.
While the film rights deal was announced in August 2023, development on the film won’t start until the Writers Guild of America strike is resolved.
