It’s only February 2024 and already I’ve found some of the best new romance book releases of the year! I get excited every month to see which new romance books are finally available on my TBR list and several books releasing this month are on my list of most anticipated romance books of 2024.
For each book on the list, I include a brief summary as well as my thoughts on why I can’t wait to read it so you can determine if you want to read it too.

The Most Anticipated New Romance Books of February 2024:

Why It’s a Must Read: Just when I think Ali Hazelwood can’t give me yet another amazing book, she dives into paranormal romance and gives me THIS! If you love romance books with the best characters that carry a story with suspense and the sweetest of slow burn romances, then you have to pick this up. It’s already earned a place on my best romance novels of 2024 list.

Why It’s a Must Read: Tessa Bailey is my go-to author whenever I’m in the mood for a fun and spicy romcom, but she blew me away with this sports romance that I could not put down! I never thought that I would fall for a professional golfer but she made me do it!! I just loved everything about this opposites attract romance that has the BEST characters. It too is already on my list of best romance novels of 2024 list.

Why It’s a Must Read: This book was a cute read because the main characters were so much fun. Most of the book is these two hiking out into the wilderness in the middle of winter with only Dahlia‘s constant chatter to keep them company, besides the threat of bears and blizzard snowstorms. You get a fun, forced proximity, snowed in romance with complete opposites who have the best banter. There’s also an element of suspense that culminates in a crazy way. It was a really fun read!

Enemies to Lovers Romance

Why It’s a Must Read: This book honestly had me at Athena’s crazy antics that include playing erotic audiobooks at top volume with her windows open to annoy Matthew. I am so for it! I love that this neighbors to lovers romance has an enemies to lovers twist plus the added element of falling for her ex’s brother. Can you follow all of those tropes? I really hope this one delivers!
Simply the Best
by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Sports Romance

Brett Rivers is the hottest sports agent in the business and he never should have met Rory Garrett, the failed chocolatier and sister to his most important client, her football brother. And they both absolutely, positively should never have had to deal with the consequences of one stupid, drunken night, one disastrous lie, one career in jeopardy, one missing football player, and a very deceased body.
Why It’s a Must Read: I was so completely surprised and of course super excited that Susan Elizabeth Phillips is returning to her beloved Chicago Stars series and giving us book 10 which seems to mix in a bit of mystery this time! I adore her writing and witty dialogue and cannot wait to see what she has in store for these two opposites. Check it out if you love football romances or are a big SEP fan!

Why It’s a Must Read: I think it’s high time that I check out an Asher book in 2024 because I love witch romance books and Olive is already someone I’m so in love with given her desire to shake things up a bit in her life. I’m also hoping this book has the sweetest slow burn that builds to a fire between these two friends.

Why It’s a Must Read: I’m already curious to know which new romance book in 2024 is going to become the next big fantasy romance and Ciccarelli’s witch hunter romance has the chance to be it. I loved how Rune and Gideon both tried to fight their growing feelings for one another when she was a witch and he was a witch hunter. This book definitely set the stage for an engaging series!

Visions of Flesh and Blood
by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, art, and reference materials for fans of the From Blood and Ash series as well as the Flesh and Fire series. Combined with original short stories and scenes from some of the world’s most beloved characters, as well as never-before-seen visual enticements, it’s a treat for the senses.
Told from the point of view of Miss Willa herself, the compendium acts like research material but reads like a journal and cache of personal notes, allowing the reader to revisit the characters and history they so love yet view things in a different way.
Why It’s a Must Read: If Armentrout is willing to give me enen MORE for the From Blood and Ash series and Flesh and Fire series then I’m all for it. I especially love that it has new short stories and is told from Miss Willa’s point of view. With over 600 pages, this compendium is sure to enrich both of the fantasy series that have stolen my heart.

Why It’s a Must Read: This is definitely one of the most anticipated romance books of 2024 for fans of Jensen’s earlier work, The Bridge Kingdom series, who are ready to dive into a new series from the fantasy writer. I love that this is a Norse-inspired fantasy romance with a strong heroine, a fiery hero and a forbidden attraction. Bring it!
