Not every adaptation has an official release date yet, and some may not arrive until 2028. I’ll keep updating this list as more details are announced, so be sure to bookmark it!

Phoebe Dynevor and Patrick Schwarzenegger are bringing January Andrews and Gus Everett to life in the movie adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling romance, directed by Yulin Kuang.

When the former college rivals end up spending the summer in neighboring lake houses, they challenge each other to write something completely outside their usual genres.

But as their writing experiment brings them closer, they discover there’s a lot more to each other than either expected.

Fake Skating
by Lynn Painter

Release Date: July 16, 2027, in theaters

Lynn Painter’s hockey romance is headed to theaters with Josh Boone directing and Amélie Hoeferle and Graham Campbell starring as Dani and Alec.

Dani and Alec were once inseparable as children, but years apart have changed everything.

When Dani returns to their hockey-loving hometown, Alec is no longer the boy she remembers, and their reunion doesn’t exactly go smoothly.

But a fake relationship gives them a chance to reconnect, and pretending to be together might just bring back feelings neither completely left behind.

Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are returning for another season of Heated Rivalry, and I cannot wait!

Season 2 is expected to continue their love story, drawing from Rachel Reid’s The Long Game.

After years of keeping their relationship a secret, Shane and Ilya are building a life together, but the pressures of professional hockey and the fear of going public make their future anything but simple.

They know they belong together. Now they have to decide what they’re willing to risk to stay that way.

Off Campus Season 2

The Score

Release Date: TBA on Prime Video

Filming for Season 2 of Off Campus wrapped in September 2026, and the new season will focus on Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes from Elle Kennedy’s The Score.

What begins as a casual arrangement between friends quickly becomes more complicated when Dean realizes Allie might be the one woman he doesn’t want to let go.

Bridgerton Season 5

When He Was Wicked
by Julia Quinn

Release Date: 2027 on Netflix

Season 5 of Bridgerton will focus on Francesca Stirling and Michaela Stirling, played by Hannah Dodd and Masali Baduza.

The season draws inspiration from Julia Quinn’s When He Was Wicked, although the television adaptation changes the book’s male romantic lead, Michael Stirling, to Michaela.

In the original novel, Francesca is a young widow who never expected to find love again, especially with the man who has secretly loved her for years.

It’s one of the most emotional romances in the Bridgerton series, and I’m especially interested to see how the show brings Francesca’s second-chance love story to life.

Virgin River Season 8

Based on the Virgin River series
by Robyn Carr

Release Date: TBA on Netflix

Netflix has renewed Virgin River for an eighth season, bringing viewers back to the small Northern California town and the relationships we’ve followed for years.

The original series begins with Mel Monroe, a nurse practitioner looking for a fresh start after experiencing tremendous loss.

There she meets Jack Sheridan, a former Marine and local bar owner, and slowly begins building a new life filled with friendship, community, and unexpected love.

While the show has expanded well beyond Mel and Jack’s original story, the romance and relationships of Virgin River remain at its heart.

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 4

Based on the My Life with the Walter Boys books
by Ali Novak

Release Date: 2027 on Netflix

Netflix has confirmed that My Life with the Walter Boys is returning for a fourth season, with filming underway.

After losing her family, Jackie Howard moves from New York City to rural Colorado to live with the Walter family and their house full of boys.

Adjusting to her new life is difficult enough without finding herself caught between two very different brothers, Alex and Cole, and the complicated feelings she develops for both.

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 5

Based on the Sullivan’s Crossing series
by Robyn Carr

Release Date: 2027 on CTV and The CW

Sullivan’s Crossing is officially returning for a fifth season, bringing viewers back to the beautiful Nova Scotia setting and the relationships that make this series so addictive.

The original books follow Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon who returns to her childhood home after her carefully planned life falls apart.

There she reconnects with her estranged father, meets Cal Jones, and discovers that the life she thought she wanted might not be the one that makes her happiest.
