The Lockwood and the Sterling families have been feuding for years, and that hasn’t changed now that they are co-owners of a luxury hotel. Weston Lockwood has never failed to push all of Sophia Sterling’s buttons and get under her skin. The trouble is, every time they fight, she somehow winds up under HIM.
Well I found another all-time favorite book from Vi Keeland. And…I have found one of my all-time favorite dirty talking boyfriends!
I knew this book was going to sizzle based on the book synopsis but it exceeded my expectations. And this cover….perfection.
Characters With Passion & Chemistry
From the moment of their first run in, Weston and Sophia just exuded this strong chemistry.
Of course this was fueled by a decades long family feud and their ability to fling barbs and jabs at one another without fail.
Each one of their interactions was filled with the best back and forth banter that oozed tension.
Seriously, Vi Keeland, you outdid yourself with these amazing characters.
The Best Dirty Talking Boyfriend
Without a doubt Weston was the highlight for me (although everything about this book was fantastic).
I have a real weakness for hot book boyfriends but when they are exceptional dirty talkers, O-M-G!
I think any quote I share would get my post flagged but honestly you’d have to read it in context anyway.
Sophia was a smart, successful businesswoman but she had no problems ceding control to Weston after his mouth started sharing all the things he wanted to do to her.
So yes, I’m claiming Weston Lockwood as mine folks.
From the beginning you could tell that Weston was enamored with Sophia. Family feud or not, he didn’t let that get that in the way of what he wanted from her.
In a way you could tell from the start that he didn’t consider her his enemy at all and I loved that honesty about him.
There was also more to him than just his business sense or his bedroom prowess which only added to the story.
More to Love
Although I loved Weston and loved Sophia as well, this book as a whole was the perfect package.
It didn’t have the most original storyline but the dialogue, the characters and the family influences that drove them are what made this book stand a part from the rest.
This is a must-read for all you dirty talk lovers out there.
