And Now, Back to You Summary:
Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart have had their fair share of run-ins over the years, often ending in disaster. While Jackson thrives on routine and organization from the comfort of his radio booth, Delilah loves the spontaneity and adventure out in the field. When theyโre partnered against their will to cover the snowstorm of the century, they find themselves scrambling to figure out how to work together.
Eager to be taken seriously as a journalist, Delilah offers Jackson a deal. If he can help her ace this assignment, sheโll help him rediscover his long-lost fun side. With an undiscovered chemistry burning beneath their clashes, the unlikely partnership quickly tumbles into an easy and surprising friendship.
But when other feelings start to enter the equation, can Jackson and Delilah withstand the storm? Or does what happens in the mountains, stay in the mountains?
And Now, Back to You: My Review
A swoon-worthy, opposites attract romance that had me giggling, sighing and falling hard for two adorable meteorologists!
B.K. Borison blew me away with First Time Caller, the first book in her new Heartstrings series, so I have been counting down the minutes until And Now, Back to You released (or when I received my copy), so that I could fall even more in love with this world and characters. And have no fear, B.K. does it again, creating a beautiful romance between two deserving characters whom I just wanted to snuggle up right alongside with during that snow storm and never let go.
Never did I think Iโd love a romance about two meteorologists talking about the weather but here we are and I could not get enough of Jackson and Delilah. This is the perfect, opposites attract love story between two people who love the weather and yet could not be more different.
Delilah is a woman full of sunshine even though sheโs got some struggles. She was abandoned by her month as an infant, is being hosed by her boss at work, and is trying to deal with her grandfatherโs worsening Alzheimerโs. And yet despite these heavy burdens that she carries and a panache for being quite clumsy and accident-prone, she loves her work and loves her community of Baltimore.
It broke my heart that she had to deal with such a tool of a boss who looked for any and every opportunity to make her a laughing stock just because everyone liked her. She was even hesitant to get closer to Jackson because she always feared that she was โtoo much.โ
And yet, she is the perfect compliment to Jackson because while she struggled with feeling โtoo muchโ, he in turn struggled with feeling like he was โnot enoughโ which made them absolutely perfect for one another.
Because they have a history of literally running into one another and passing notes on each otherโs cars, it was easy to buy into their connection and chemistry once they were forced into each otherโs presence to report on the upcoming snow stormโฆ. at an innโฆwith only one bed to share.
The way that they felt vulnerable with one another and yet let their guard down and asked for clarification about what each other wanted in the moment and in the future was so endearing.
So while you get this really fun opposites attract, snowed in romance with forced proximity since they have to share only one bed (I mean look at all those fantastic tropes!!), it is also so very romantic, definitely emotional and totally swoon-worthy (that definitely bears repeating!).
While I love Delilah, I equally adored Jackson who is one of the best cinnamon roll heroes Iโve read. He is the absolute best big brother to his younger twin sisters heโs raising with such emotional intelligence that he uses for both their struggles and with Delilahโs.
I loved when he would be pushed out of his comfort zone and yet I also loved how neither he nor Delilah felt like they had to change for the other (nor did B.K. make them change). A man who thrived on order, routine, lists and plans could easily fall in love with the woman who was chaos and happiness and full of spontaneity and it was beautiful.
Similar to First Time Caller, this book includes fun snippets of their television broadcasts and viewer/listener comments about their broadcasts intermixed between chapters which were a complete delight and wonderful addition to this story.
Iโm such a fan of Heartstrings and cannot wait to see what she does next. I already love the hinted at set up for book three!
This was one of my most anticipated new romance books of 2026 and it did not disappoint. It will be on my list of best romance books of 2026 for sure. I highly recommend it!
