by Matthew Norman
The new year barely began when Grace White and Henry Adler both lost their spouses. Now, nearly a year later, the first holiday season since their “Great and Terrible Sadnesses” approaches. Although their mothers scheme to matchmake the two surviving spouses, itโs clear that neither is ready to date again. Yet no one understands what they’re going through better than each other, and a delicate friendship is born.
When Henry sees an ad for a Christmas movie marathonโonce an annual tradition for him and his wifeโGrace offers to watch some films with him, despite her aversion to a few of his picks. Her two young kids, Ian and Bella, also join in whenever possibleโbedtimes permitting, of course.
With each movie, Grace and Henryโs shared grief eases as they start to see a life beyond the sadness. But as they draw closer, other romantic possibilities leave them both uncertain about their future together. Is their bond merely the result of loneliness and shared circumstances, or have they found something thatโs worth taking a shot at . . . again?

by Meghan Quinn
Atlas “Max” Maxheimer did not sign up for this. One minute, he’s anxiously trying to keep his family’s Christmas tree farm from imploding. The next? He’s passed out in the snow after getting clocked by a suspiciously strong bottle of soda.

Cue the holiday chaos.
Between blizzards, blown reputations, wildly misguided romantic plots, and one stolen ornament with a seriously tragic backstory, this small-town war turns into something far messierโand much more deliciousโthan either of them expected.

She needs five new paintings for the holiday show at her local art gallery, but between her two teenage sons, her needy ex-husband, and her overbearing parents, she hardly has any time for herself. Luckily, her best friend has the perfect solution: a vacant family lake house in North Texas, all hers for two weeks of distraction-free painting. Or so she thought.
Turns out professional golfer Harrison Neely also rented the lake house so he can spend the holidays rehabbing the injury that has put his careerโand lifeโon hold. Despite the booking snafu, both Amy and Harrison (along with Amy’s old blind dog and the army of child-sized nutcrackers residing in the living room) agree to share the festive lodging.

Holiday Unscripted
by Natasha Madison
Elizabeth: My brother was getting married. At Christmas no less. The holiday I hated the most. Let me list all the reasons why this will be the worst season yet: One would be my luggage not arriving. Two would be being told I had to find somewhere else to sleep since my room was occupied by family members. Oh, and now I am forced to stay with my brother’s best friend. The man who broke my heart seven years ago.
Nate: My best friend was getting married. I was happy for him. Until I had to offer his sister my spare bedroom. It’d be fine, two weeks and she’d be out of my hair. But the thing with Elizabeth was that she pushed every single button I have. She gets under my skin in the best ways. All we have to do is survive the wedding and the holiday. Then she’ll be gone yet again. Unless maybe, just maybe, my wish of having her comes true.

Merry Little Kissmas

Wanted: A fresh shot at love for the holidays. But fake dating my brotherโs grumpy best friend? Heโs my new client, for Santaโs sake!
As a professional matchmaker, my biggest job this holiday season should be simple: find a date for the hot single dad hockey playerโaka my brotherโs best friendโfor his teamโs fancy Christmas Eve gala.
Sure Rowanโs hot as a crackling fire and spicier than a gingerbread man, but he hasnโt just sworn off romance. The Christmas hater has made a bet that I canโt find him a holidate.
Whatโs a matchmaker to do?
Win, of course. Even if it means fake dating the grinch myself to get him ready for the real thing.
Onlyโฆthese fake dates at Christmas tree farms and hot cocoa competitions in the snowy small town of Evergreen Falls start to feel a little too real as I get to know the man behind the scowl.
Somewhere between kisses under the mistletoe and a snowed-in night in his cabin curled up by the fire (where the stockings arenโt the only thing hung), I realize Iโm in over my elf-loving head.
And when Rowan opens up to me at last about his painful past, Iโm determined to give my brotherโs best friend the holiday he deserves. But what if the only gift I want him to unwrap this season isโฆ me?

Henry might not remember his ex, but itโs clear thereโs still something between them. Whatever went wrong in the past, he intends to figure it out. Faking feelings for Tia isnโt exactly difficult, but one thingโs for certain: starlight carnivals and mulled-wine kisses can’t change history.

Elf-ish
by L.B. Dunbar
After Scrooge has his revelatory night, ever wonder if he continues to turn over a new holly leaf, or if he goes back to his miserly ways?
Iโve been thinking about this question ever since a gorgeous red-headed angel saved me from a heart attack with a kiss and a whispered plea.
Of course, I am uncertain whether any of it really happened. The redhead. The kiss. The whisper. Maybe it was all a dream. A visionary warning to change my life before it was too late.
As the millionaire CEO of a major department store in downtown Chicago, believing the holidays are about ribbons and bows; packages, boxes, and bags, and comes from a store has been my upbringing. However, Iโve decided to heed this cautionary tale in search of that something more in the season.
Only, I donโt know exactly how to move from selfish to elf-ish.
When that glorious redhead visits me in the hospital, a plan starts to form. I accept her request for a date to her younger brotherโs holiday wedding, setting off a string of unexpected events and emotions.
She becomes my reason for the fa-la-la season.
And maybe perhaps, sheโll see Iโm a little bit more than a grinch in a penthouse, but an elf longing to be taken down from the shelf.

Run, Run Roommates

When I recruit my Christmas-loving roommate for a holiday charity fundraiser, I donโt expect a kiss under the mistletoe to unravel everything.
We have three days to rack up as many points as possible and Brin is the perfect person to do this withโshe exudes enthusiasm and energy, especially when it comes to the holidays.
I would knowโwe share a room in an apartment in New York City. Itโs close quarters. Too close, judging by how often I catch myself thinking about her. I know how she sounds in the shower and where she keeps her favorite toyโฆ
Things I try not to think about, because Brin is also too kind, too small-town sweet for someone like me. Partnered in the wedding-week Christmas Challengeโwith gingerbread showdowns and carol face-offsโthey canโt outrun their inconvenient spark. Love might be the real win, if Rachel risks her heart on a drummer boy whoโs never played for keepsโuntil now.

by Dr. Melissa Dymond
Dr. Helen Chu doesnโt believe in Christmas miracles. Not after the year sheโs had.
When her best friendโs reckless, infuriatingly hot brother moves in after a surfing accident, her silent nights are officially over. Teddy Wright is all bad boy charm, temptation and chaos wrapped in tinsel and twinkle lights.
But when Helenโs ailing mom mistakes Teddy for her boyfriend, thereโs only one thing to do: play along. Soon theyโre making a list of fake dating rules and checking it twice.
Itโs supposed to be easy as gingerbread pie. Just a little holiday make-believe.
Except for the one-night stand they never talk about.
Except Teddyโs giving her looks that could melt a snowman.
Except one mistletoe kiss that turns more naughty than nice.
And those fake feelings? Theyโre starting to feel dangerously real.
Now Helenโs grinch of a heart is at risk of being completely unwrapped. If sheโs not careful, this Christmas might burn more than just cookies.
The Bright Side of Christmas
by Morgan Elizabeth
Wren King is the one person in town everyone can rely on: need someone to watch your kids? Sheโs got it, you deserve a night off! Want a five dozen cookies for a bake sale? Call up Wren; she loves to bake. As the small town of Holly Ridgeโs sweetheart, sheโs always available to help, even if it leaves little time for herself along the way.
But this holiday season, itโs ramped up to the next level. As her first year as the head of the decorating committee, a title she inherited after her grandmother passed away, sheโs determined to make it the best and brightest year Holly Ridge has ever seen. A bigger festival, decorations on every possible inch of town, and, of course, more lights. Who cares if sheโs tired and worn down? She can sleep in January. Christmas only comes but once a year, after all.
Adam Porter moved to Holly Ridge in search of peace and quiet. As a well-known songwriter with writerโs block, heโs hoping a sleepy small town will be the perfect place to find his inspiration and write again. The problem? He hates Christmas. This year, heโs hoping to hide away in the small town, avoid Christmas completely, and write the next big hit by the New Year.
Unfortunately, when he tells his new next-door neighbor, Wren, that he has no plans to decorate his home and thus threatens to break a sixty-year tradition in the town, a battle of decor ensues. As the season progresses and Wren becomes increasingly determined, Adam remains steadfast in his conviction that nothing will make him enjoy the holidays.
Definitely not his sunshiny neighbor, who is convinced she has enough holiday cheer for the two of them.
Checking It Twice
by Kendall Ryan
Fake dating a hockey player for Christmas wasnโt on my bingo card.
Clare Johnsonโs job is handling PR for the Dallas Stampedeโnot getting tangled up with one of the players. But when Mitchell Drakeโcharming forward, fan favorite, and very off-limitsโasks her to pose as his girlfriend for one week in small-town Minnesota, she reluctantly agrees. Whatโs the worst that could happen?
Mitchellโs had six months to get over his very public broken engagement, and his family is done waiting. The last thing he needs is pitying smiles and whispered gossip. Clare is smart, sharp, and strong enough to hold her own with both fans and familyโthe perfect fake girlfriend.
But holiday lights and snowy nights have a way of blurring the line between pretend and real. Clare fits too easily into his worldโbonding with his grandma, winning at pond hockey, and looking unfairly good in his flannel. The more time they spend together, the less fake it feels.
Full of small-town holiday magic, meddling relatives, and sizzling chemistry, Checking It Twice is a hockey romance about second chances and falling in love when you least expect it. Perfect for fans of fake dating, one-bed tension, forced proximity, and happily-ever-afters wrapped in Christmas lights.
Because sometimes the best gifts arenโt under the treeโtheyโre standing right in front of you.

Dreaming of a Cowboy Christmas
by Ann Einerson
A grumpy cowboy with a permanent scowl isn’t quite what I had on my holiday wishlist this year.
Except we don’t always get what we wish for, which I quickly learn when I find out the Christmas vacation home I booked is a scam. Which means I need to get off the surly silver foxโs property ASAP.
But even a grumpy cowboy has manners, and he isnโt about to send this city girl away with a snowstorm blowing through townโeven if it would make his life less complicated.
Another not-so-small problem? There’s only one bed in his cabin.
I might be used to bright city lights, but country evenings turn into the perfect holiday nights when I find myself wrapped up in his arms. It seems the crackling fire isn’t the only thing heating up, and I canโt help but wonder if fate led me here after all.

I came to Legacy, Montana, to sell a fantasyโtwelve Insta-ready #Holidates of Christmas. One career-making brand deal. Zero drama. Then my videographer bailed, and in walked Maddox Sullivan.
Grumpy. Gorgeous. Growly. A mountain man with zero chill and even less tolerance for influencers like me. He agrees to film my contentโoff-camera onlyโbut when my first date cancels, guess who ends up in front of the lens? Cue the fireworks.
Our chemistry is instant. My followers are obsessed. #TeamMaddrian starts trending. Suddenly, all my dates are mysteriously dropping out, and Maddox is reluctantly starring in every single holidateโsleigh rides, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, kisses under the mistletoe.
And Iโฆ Iโm starting to forget this was ever supposed to be pretend. Because every time Maddox looks at me, I feel something real. Something lasting. Something terrifying.
I came here for curated content. Now Iโm dreaming of a life I never thought I wantedโwith a man I never saw coming. But am I falling for the picture-perfect holiday fantasy? Or could this be the start of my real-life happily ever after?
The Holiday Exchange
by Riley Hart and Chrstina Lee
I have the most ridiculous crush on Briar, a customer who frequents my cafรฉ. We never run out of things to talk about, and I find myself looking forward to his visits.
Just when Iโm about to ask him on a date, he shows up at Sip and Savor with none other than my twin, who beat me to the punch. Definitely not how I hoped things would go.
Except my brother isnโt the settling-down type, so three months into dating Briar, he chooses the worst time to dump himโright before Christmas and straight after Briar asks Nathan to accompany him home for the holidays.
As I try to console Briar, he surprises me by cooking up a plot straight out of the movies, where I go home to Maine with him, pretending to be his boyfriend.
Itโs supposed to be a friendly favor, I get a trip to the perfect Christmas town, and Briar can save face with his family and childhood ex. Only just like back in Boston, we have fun together, get each other, and I swear the spark I always felt between us grows.
But how does a guy tell his twinโs ex that heโs had feelings for him all along? And can what starts out as a holiday exchange turn into the perfect happily ever after?

All I Want for Christmas is a Fake British Boyfriend
by Lili Valente
I came to London to plan a Christmas galaโnot to end up half-naked under a streetlamp with a gorgeous stranger. And definitely not to find out, once the photos go viral, that heโs a member of the royal family.
Now Iโm a tabloid punchline, my clientโs panicking, and my perfectly planned holiday has gone straight to scandal. The solution? Pretend weโre dating until the cameras lose interest. Simple. And nothing Emily Darling, social-media whizz, canโt handle.
Except Oliver isnโt the snotty aristocrat I expected. Heโs funny, kind, unfairly sexyโand a Christmas nerd just like me. Weโre supposed to be faking it, but somewhere between the cocoa and the carols, London starts to feel like magicโฆand Oliver starts to feel like home.
But when a new viral headline makes me question everything, I find myself at Heathrow with a boarding pass, a broken heart, and a question only the man shouting my name across the terminal can answerโIs love really all around?
Please Send Snow
by Clara Pines
All I want for Christmas is a job! (Okay, sure, also some snow, a chance to finish the book Iโve been writing, and maybe a decent winter coat?) Turns out that being Maddie Foster, heiress to the Foster Christmas Figurine fortune isnโt all itโs cracked up to beโespecially after my stepmom takes my inheritance and puts me out on the street.
But something leads me back to the small-town lodge in the Poconos where Dad and I used to spend every Christmas.
When I arrive, I donโt exactly get the warm welcome Iโm expecting. Especially when I meet Jake Stone, the grumpy new billionaire owner, who also happens to be a gorgeous single dad. But his adorable little boy needs my help, and before I know it, Iโve landed a nanny job keeping an eye on little Dylan and helping him write letters to Santa.
So what if I get butterflies whenever Jakeโs blue gaze falls on me? I might be nearly penniless, sleeping in a broom closet, and dangerously close to falling for my boss, but at least Iโm writing again! Everythingโs coming up Maddie, until I find out why Jake is really hereโฆ
Now as Christmas approaches, Iโm starting to wish for so many things I never knew I wantedโnot just to help the cozy cast of characters at the lodge, who have become like family to me, but also for myself, for sweet Dylan, and yes, even for ruthless, brilliant, annoyingly handsome Jake Stone.

by Jamie Lee Fry

From that moment on, Luca seems to be everywhere, even when she finds herself without a place to stay.
When Luca offers his place, itโs perfectโheโs perfect. . . except for one tiny little detail: he might have a gorgeous girlfriend named Colette.
Will this holiday of mishaps turn into the most unexpectedly magical Christmas of all, or will her impulsiveness turn out to be a recipe for disaster?

The One Night Stand Before Christmas
by Tracy Leigh
The only thing worse than having a one-night stand with a ridiculously hot stranger during a snowstorm in Boston? Finding out heโs your ex-boyfriendโs father. In my defense, I didnโt know the tall, brooding man in the tailored suit would turn out to be Joshuaโs dad.
I also didnโt expect him to spend Christmas in my quaint small town of Sycamore Falls. Or attend every single one of the townโs holiday events. Or look at me like weโre still back in that hotel room.
Now Iโm currently one awkward sleigh ride away from a full-blown holiday meltdown. Because Declan Hart? He has bad idea written all over him.
Not only is he some hotshot attorney with a military past, but he has voice as smooth as whiskey and a body that makes my tinsel curl. Heโs also completely off-limits. Which wouldnโt be a problemโฆIf I could just stop thinking about that night.
Or how he his eyes light up in the snow. Or what might happen if we get caught under the mistletoe again. This Christmas, I might be the one getting tangled up in something I really shouldnโt want.
My Merry Mistake
by Courtney Walsh
I donโt like to make mistakes. Ever. Especially when those mistakes are witnessed by the same personโflirty Finn Holbrookโwho canโt seem to leave me alone. Can I really trust him not to tell anyone that the night we met, I tried to kiss him? Or that I fell apart after I got fired from a job I loved? Or that Iโm not as strong as I want everyone to think I am?
The simple fact that heโs boomeranged back into my orbit after all these years feels like a great, big cosmic joke.
Only now heโs a professional hockey player, and while he doesnโt look like the goofy college bartender I met all those years ago, he still acts like oneโimmature, flirty, and unable to take anything seriously.
Which is why I never, ever fall for his game.
I know better than to get swept up in romance. I donโt have time. Iโm busy making myself irreplaceable in my new job with the Chicago Comets. Work isnโt just something I do, itโs who I am.
And while my sisters are constantly on me to slow down and take breaks, those things arenโt on my schedule, so . . . I push on. Do more. Load up my schedule. Overcommit. Until eventually, my stress lands me in the emergency room.
The prescription? A month off. No emails. No work. No distractions.
Unless you count Finn Holbrook, who keeps showing up at my door, determined to leverage his positive, golden retriever energy to show me there’s a great, big world outside that I haven’t bothered to explore, most of it covered with white twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.
I begrudgingly go along with his grand plans, and little by little, I start to see there really is more to life than workโand more to Finn than flirting.
Which makes me wonder . . . how can someone so obviously wrong for me start to feel completely right? And more importantly . . . how do I make those feelings go away?
Jingle Bell Fling
by Susan Renee
I moved to Snowberry Hollow five years ago to be left alone in the silence and solitude of the mountains. But when Sunny Camden blows into town in a storm of Christmas chaos, my quiet life is thrown into festive flux.
With her candy-cane striped tights, reindeer earmuffs and boots with literal jingle bells, sheโs hired to coordinate the townโs annual Christmas festival, but sheโs way too much enthusiasm for my taste. So, when the President of the council volunteers me to help Sunny build the booths for the Christmas Market, itโs the last thing I want to do.
Sheโs irritatingly loud, annoyingly bright, and impossible to ignore. Everywhere she goes she leaves a trail of tinsel, gingerbread and holiday happiness. And now the longer Iโm stuck at her side, the more I catch myself waiting for the next laugh, the next smileโฆthe next way sheโll surprise me.
I make things even worse when I tell everyone Sunny and I are together in an effort to dodge a blind date set-up. Now weโre fake dating in front of the entire town, pretending weโre the perfect couple.
She was supposed to be temporary. A holiday storm I just had to weather. But Sunny Camden is giving me something I never thought Iโd find again. Hope.
And for a guy who stopped believing in hope years ago, thatโs dangerous, because if I fall for Sunny Camden, thereโs no faking my way out of it.
The Ex-Mas Breakup
by Zoe York
A booty call with your ex? Bad decision, Rory.
I really thought it would be a one-time thing. A hormonal moment of weakness where I text him a funny ha-ha realization that Iโm ovulating and he knows what that meansโI canโt turn my brain off. He used to be so good at helping with thatโฆ
Then Garrett shows up very quickly. Bickering leads to banging, and itโs better than ever, raw and real and super satisfying. So maybe we didn’t work out as a couple, but โexes with benefitsโ has a nice ring to it, at least until I finish my residency. Just once a month.
A Christmas road trip? Disaster ahead, Garrett.
I know I messed up when I broke Roryโs heart eight months ago.
I also know we canโt spend more than ninety minutes together without everything crumbling, and the drive back to Pine Harbour is six times that long. Too bad leaving Rory behindโor for goodโjust isnโt an option. Whether she likes it or not, Iโm her guy. Her ride home.
And when we arrive at her parentsโ Christmas tree farm and discover her sister in tears over a breakup of her own, Rory takes one pleading look at me and suddenly Iโm her โboyfriendโ again. And thereโs only one bedโฆ
The Nest Before Christmas
by Piper Rayne
When the teamโs plane gets grounded right before Christmas, the Falcons will stop at nothing to make it home for the holidays, including launching their own Planes, Trains, and Automobiles-style mission across the country to get back to their wives and kids.
Meanwhile, their wives are back in Chicago, juggling babies, pregnancy tests, and a missing gender-reveal envelope.
From FaceTime flirting gone wrong to a Greyhound bus disaster, the guysโ determination never waversโbecause nothing says love like a man sprinting through a snowstorm to make it home before Christmas.
Fake It Til Christmas
by Claudio Burgoa
All I agreed to was a fake relationship.A weekend of pretending Iโm in love with my grumpy, emotionally constipated, private-jet-commuting neighbor. Easy, right?
Except nothing about Soren Thorn is easy. He doesnโt believe in horoscopes, hates throw pillows, and treats feelings like theyโre contagious. Heโs all sighs, black coffee, and unreadable expressionsโand for reasons I still donโt understand, he needs me to be his girlfriend for one very public, very awkward family event.
I thought I could handle it. Play the part. Make it cute. But then he started trusting meโwith real pieces of himself.
Now I know his favorite coffee, some of his secrets, and the exact look he gives when he’s about to self-destruct but pretends heโs fine. And Iโm starting to realize this whole fake dating thing might be getting too . . . well, not fake. Because I donโt just want to survive the weekend. I want to know what it would feel like if none of it were pretend.
The Duke Who Saved Christmas
by Emma Hart
Sylvie Harding once swore that the only reason sheโd ever return to Castleton was to plan her sisterโs weddingโฆ And here she is.

Swept up in the magic that is Christmas in her hometown, the only thing that can possibly dampen her spirit is coming face to face with her childhood frenemy.
Thomas, the Duke of Castleton.
The man she spent her childhood feuding with thanks to an errant cricket ball is just as snarky, annoying, and gorgeous as she remembers. When a string of tragedies hit the wedding plans, Sylvie only has one person she can turn to: Thomas. Not that she has a choiceโhe has a habit of showing up exactly when she needs him to save the day, and she canโt stand it. And when the ultimate disaster befalls the wedding just three days before the ceremony, Sylvie doesnโt see how it can go ahead. But Thomas can.
And it just might be his chance to prove to Sylvie how he truly feels about herโand save Christmas at the same time.
