The Best Kindle Unlimited Christmas Romance Books to Read Right Now
Since the last three weeks of my life have been riddled with humbug—another breakup, a broken toe, an office promotion I deserved and didn’t get—I’m not at all in the mood to celebrate nor have the happ, happ, happiest Christmas EVER.
When Mom insisted that we all gather at my Grandparent’s ancient cabin for an old school family Christmas, I fully intended to get into the holiday spirit with the help of the three wise men, Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniels, and Jim Beam.
But those boys did absolutely nothing to offset the shock or temper the sting of seeing my ex on our doorstep the first day of our holiday soiree.
Stuck for a week with the man who obliterated my heart nearly two decades ago, I did the only thing I could do and put on my game face, thankful for the home advantage.
I foolishly thought a family Christmas filled with nostalgia was going to turn my inner Scrooge around, but this year’s festivities went up in flames.
Leave it to the ghost of my Christmas past to be the one to light the match. Fa la la la la, la FML.
If you want a Christmas romance book that is the perfect combination of hilarious family shenanigans, steamy scenes and heartfelt moments that’s available to read for free on Kindle Unlimited then look no further than The Plight Before Christmas.
You are going to love the Collins family (especially if you love the Griswolds from Christmas Vacation) and will have fun comparing family holiday traditions while reading this book!
Because this Christmas romance book is on Kindle Unlimited, it’s one that I reread each and every holiday season 😊.
Check out my book review of The Plight Before Christmas to see why I love it so much.
Hardworking Isabelle Cook has a serious problem. Her family farm, site of Tilikum’s Christmas Village, is in trouble. Big trouble. And worst of all? The man trying to buy it is none other than the grumpiest, grinchiest man of them all—Elias Stoneheart.
That’s a big nope. She’s not letting him get involved. Not with his heart made of coal.
Elias Stoneheart is in the business of making money, not friends. Especially when his boss is promising a long-awaited promotion. All he has to do is convince one struggling family to sell their farm.
The problem? It’s Cook Family Farm. And Isabelle Cook is his ex.
He might have history with Isabelle, but this is just business. A Christmas-loving farm girl is not going to come between him and his ambition.
And Christmas? He hates it. Christmas Village needs to go.
But as Elias spends time in the small town, holiday spirit—and Isabelle—get under his skin. And she might be the only one who can melt the ice around his heart.
I absolutely adore Christmas romance books with a Scrooge who hates the holiday and Kingsley writes the best banter with this grumpy sunshine romance that will have you believing in the magic of Christmas. This is a must-read if you love small town romance books with charm!
Molly and Andrew are just trying to get home to Ireland for the holidays, when a freak snowstorm grounds their flight.
Nothing romantic has ever happened between them: they’re friends and that’s all. But once a year, for the last ten years, Molly has spent seven hours and fifteen minutes sitting next to Andrew on the last flight before Christmas from Chicago to Dublin, drinking terrible airplane wine and catching up on each other’s lives.
In spite of all the ways the two friends are different, it’s the holiday tradition neither of them has ever wanted to give up.
Molly isn’t that bothered by Christmas, but—in yet another way they’re total opposites—Andrew is a full-on fanatic for the festive season and she knows how much getting back to Ireland means to him. So, instead of doing the sane thing and just celebrating the holidays together in America, she does the stupid thing. The irrational thing. She vows to get him home. And in time for his mam’s famous Christmas dinner.
The clock is ticking. But Molly always has a plan. And—as long as the highly-specific combination of taxis, planes, boats, and trains all run on time—it can’t possibly go wrong.
What she doesn’t know is that, as the snow falls over the city and over the heads of two friends who are sure they’re not meant to be together, the universe might just have a plan of its own.
If this book summary doesn’t tug at your heartstrings then I don’t know what will. The ‘ole, “trying to get home for Christmas” storyline is another one of my favorites for Christmas romance books and Walsh’s is such a fun, friends to lovers romance that will make you swoon.
Don’t miss it on Kindle Unlimited!
What’s the actual last thing you’d ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you spent a hot, drunken night with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to “Come and Get Your Love” like Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy—naked? Yeah. Me too.
This isn’t even the most unprofessional thing that’s happened between us in the past couple of weeks.
The first was when I agreed to let her have Christmas Day off, but only if she goes with me to three family gatherings as my fake girlfriend.
The second was when she caught me belting out a Christmas song on stage in the awful hotel bar.
The third was the hot night that followed, but I do not regret it.
And she hasn’t even found out the real reason I need her by my side this holiday season.
I need to pull it together before I do the dumbest, most unprofessional thing of all—fall head over heels in love with the only assistant who’s lasted more than a month at the job and claims to hate me and my moods more than she hates eggnog.
Kayley Loring’s romance books never fail to make me laugh and A Very Bossy Christmas earned a permanent spot on my favorite Christmas romance books list ever since I finished it because it was so funny, so steamy, and one of the best office romance books!
I absolutely loved Declan though the reason he needed a fake girlfriend broke my heart. His chemistry with Maddie was off the charts given their enemies to lovers vibe.
Read it then check out the follow-up novella, A Very Grumpy Father’s Day!
Don’t miss my book review of A Very Bossy Christmas to see all the reasons I love it so much.
Abbie Keller thought that Richard Bartholemew Benson the Third would be her forever. In their four years of dating, she never doubted that she wouldn’t end up with his grandmother’s engagement ring on her finger.
Sure, she had to change a few things about herself to fit that mold, but she was sure that at the end of it all, it would be worth it.
That is, until he leaves her crying outside her apartment wearing a Halloween costume, having broken it off with her because she’s just not serious enough.
She was just fun, he tells her – and now that Richard has becoming a partner at his law firm in his sights, he needs to focus on work.
So, she does what every girl does when she’s broken up with: she calls her friends, gets drunk, dyes her hair, and formulates her plan for revenge.
It just so happens that the universe supports her efforts and gives her the perfect match to prove to her ex that he made a huge mistake: his boss.
Abbie starts dating the founding partner of Richard’s law firm, Damien Martinez, with one thing in mind: convincing him to invite her to the huge annual Christmas party as his date.
But when the relationship starts to become something more than casual dating and Abbie sees that the tough New York lawyer has a soft side, will she be able to follow through with her plan of deceit?
Tis the Season for Revenge is a fun, grumpy sunshine, age-gap, Christmas romance and I’m loving how Abbie ends up finding love while seeking revenge.
Richard did her a favor by cutting her loose so that she could find someone who loved the real her. It’s always fun to read a romance that starts off with sinister intentions and the fact that it also has a holiday spin to it is just icing on the cake.
Let me first say: Reed York was never my boyfriend. He was the pen. I was the company ink. Though if you want to get technical, we were more like colleagues-who-hated-each-other … with benefits.
Everything was fine until the charming jerk went behind my back, stole my promotion, and became my boss—literally overnight.
Refusing to work beneath him (professionally speaking and otherwise), I transferred 2,014 miles away to our Chicago division, and I’ve spent the past year trying to remember how much I hated his panty-melting smirk so I can forget how much I secretly loved the way his ocean eyes lit every time I walked into the room.
But he’s just announced a last-minute site visit next week, and on top of that, he’s audaciously designated me as his ‘right hand gal’ during his visit.
If he thinks he has a snowball’s chance in this hell at getting back in my good graces, he’s got another thing coming.
Reed York might be a man used to getting everything he’s ever wanted, but Joa Jolivet is a woman that never forgets.
Oh, how I love Christmas romance books that are second chance romances! Though Joa would set me straight in saying that she and Reed were never anything to begin with but we know the truth 😉.
I cannot wait to see how much their chemistry hasn’t changed after a year and what they plan to do about it. Bring it!
There’s only one thing standing in the way of Cat King saving a small town’s Christmas festival: Grumpy town manager Noah Yates.
Single dad Noah takes his responsibilities seriously. When a late season hurricane turns Merry, Connecticut, into a disaster, he’s left scrambling to pick up the pieces of the town he loves.
At least, until home renovation expert and smoking hot reality TV star Catalina King arrives with a camera crew and a budget big enough to put the town back together again.
But Noah doesn’t want a celebrity diva capitalizing on their tragedy or filling his daughter’s head with visions of glitz and glam.
Blonde bombshell Cat is used to being underestimated, but Noah has an uncanny knack for getting under her skin. They can’t be in a room together without rubbing each other the wrong way…except that time in the dark alley where the rubbing was just right.
Can these enemies work together to pull off a Christmas miracle or will their fighting leave them both on the naughty list?
Leave it to Lucy Score to write a steamy, small town Christmas romance with a dirty-talking hero and a sassy heroine who’s ready to take him on.
I love that this is an enemies to lovers romance with the good of a small town at heart because that’s what Score does best.
Don’t let this Kindle Unlimited Christmas romance pass you by. Snag it while you can.
Quirky Holly Jackson was unlucky in love, yet her romantic heart refused to give up her search for companionship—even after her fiancé left her at the altar on Christmas Eve.
Grumpy restaurant owner Kai Kane wanted nothing to do with love. Unfortunately for him, when an eccentric Holly kept entering his restaurant nightly with a different first date, his annoyance grew.
When Kai volunteered to help Holly find a suitor it was for one reason only: to get her out of his restaurant and on to a second date with someone at a different location.
It was all going great until Kai became increasingly jealous of the connection Holly developed with another man. The more Holly fell for Kai’s pick for her, the more overprotective he became.
Kai quickly realized that all wasn’t fair when it came to love and the holidays. He was going to have to step up his game if he wanted a shot at the ultimate prize—being Holly’s favorite date.
I adore relationship coach romance books and Cherry delivered the sweetest Christmas romance with The Holly Dates where Kai reluctantly tries to help Holly find a date for the holidays.
Of course his willingness to help isn’t coming from an altruist place – he just wants her out of her restaurant so he doesn’t have to watch any more failed dates but I love how these two connected and then become more.
Check this one out on Kindle Unlimited if you want a really fun, enemies to friends to lovers story that doesn’t disappoint!
Necie Dixon was used to a lot of things by now, tripping over her own two feet, setting a record for insurance claims for all those unfortunate incidents that she was really hoping would stop happening, but she could never get used to the way that Duncan made her feel…or just how much he hated her.
She wanted more. She wanted him.
But that was never going to happen, not when he only saw her as the little jinx next door, and no matter what she told herself, one mistake would never be enough to change that.
Duncan wasn’t sure how much more he could take. Between work and helping his family, he was exhausted and needed a break.
He needed something more in his life, and he sure as hell needed a break from the little jinx next door that was driving him out of his mind.
He’d never expected to find himself drawn to her.
Never thought that he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about her. And he sure as hell never thought that he would feel like his world was falling apart when he almost lost her.
If you are looking for a hilarious Christmas romance that doesn’t shy away from the steam then don’t miss this installment in Mathewson’s Neighbor From Hell series.
I adore the Bradford family and extended members because they are just so freakin’ funny and not to mention hungry 😊.
Necie is such a fun heroine to fall for – clumsiness and all. I loved her relationship with her grandfather and I loved how she secretly loved Duncan even though he originally thought she was cray-cray.
I’m so happy that this is in Kindle Unlimited as it’s a Christmas romance to read year after year!
One little white lie. That’s all it took. Now I’m suddenly having to fake-date my work nemesis to get me through a week at a Vermont Christmas lodge with my family.
The problem? I can’t stand Miles Taylor. Not only that, but I don’t date people I work with.
But I can handle it. I’ve had practice faking my emotions for years. So it shouldn’t matter that Miles never lets me get away with anything. And that he happens to boil my blood hotter than a steaming pot of wassail.
So when he throws his annoying grin my way or forces me on dates he knows I’ll hate, I’ll just grit my teeth and smile.
Or maybe not. Did I mention that Miles is the one person in the world I can’t seem to fool?
When my emotions begin feeling less like a sham and his arms feel way too comfortable, it makes me think that maybe Miles had a plan of his own. And I’m starting to like it a lot more than mine.
I ADORE fake dating romance books, especially when it’s to get a family off your back during the holidays!
If you’re in the mood for a sweet Christmas romance that is full of great banter, high on chemistry but is a closed-door romance, then be sure to add this one to your Kindle Unlimited library this holiday.
