Whitney Collins has had it rough the last month but sheโs on her way to her grandparentโs cabin to spend the Christmas holiday with her family. She did not plan on also spending it with her ex whom her brother happens to bring along.
Now sheโs stuck with Eli for the week, the man who broke her heart nearly two decades ago. Between memories that resurface and the way heโs looking at her, Whitney’s not sure her heart is going to survive the holiday.
I just LOVE Kate Stewartโs writing and she again delivers a book that I couldnโt put down.
The Collins family is AMAZING and I want to spend my next holiday with them. She made them so completely real like they were my own family with similar struggles and a love that runs deep.
Stewart never fails to make me FEEL for her characters. Whitney was not in a good place and wanted to protect her heart. Eli made a bold move crashing the Christmas of his ex.
But man, I loved the flashbacks we got and just when I wasnโt sure why Eli walked away- I was blown away again.
Iโm forever a fan of Stewartโs and will read ANYTHING she writes but itโs because sheโs so deserving. Iโm in awe as she makes it seem like itโs so simple writing an epic romance.
There are just so many little gems throughout this book that made it super special, with one big spoiler I wonโt give away but it was so amazing (and soothing to my heart which is still on fire a year later due to Ms. Stewart).
This book made me laugh so hard but it also pulled on my heart strings as only Stewart can.
This will be a holiday romance I reread every year!
*I received an advanced reader copy but all opinions are my own.
