I pretty much fell in love with Andy in Nothing but Minor so it was a given that I was going to love Major Love and Kate Stewart didn’t disappoint.

Andy Pracht was a catcher in the minor leagues but hung up his cleats once his best friend and teammate made it to the big show.

At the same time as his career took a turn, his heart was broken by the woman he loved because she didn’t love him back, loving his friend instead. Ouch!

April is a 911 operator who recently got out of a very long-term relationship.

She’s the maid of honor for her friend Alice and ends up meeting Andy at the engagement party as he is the best man for the groom.

Wedding duties pull these two together and it becomes very hard to fight their attraction toward one another.

Andy however is still nursing a broken heart and is about to leave town to take a new coaching job in the major leagues.

He is not in the right frame of mind nor is it the best time to start a relationship even though he can’t stop thinking about April.

April can’t fight their chemistry either but she wants more than just a fling.

My heart hurt so much for Andy in Nothing But Minor, so I loved seeing how his heart healed in this book.

Even though he wasn’t looking for love he was really helpless in falling for April as they just fit.

I loved their beginning connections. It wasn’t like they were sneaking around but their initial attraction just got the better of them at some interesting times and in some interesting places like on a kitchen table and in a restroom. 😊

I felt for April because as soon as she realized she was seriously falling for this guy she knew that it might not be reciprocated.

How can you compete with another woman who’s not even in the picture but still has a hold on the man’s heart? She was pretty patient with his hot and cold behavior but wasn’t a pushover or doormat.

Check out the Playlist!

I found this to be such a wonderful love story that I’ll be re-reading again and again. I also ADORED Kate Stewart’s song playlist that went along with this book.

I found myself listing to some of the songs along the way as they really added to the feelings the story was evoking in me – especially “I Met a Girl” by William Michael Morgan.

Even though I loved reading Nothing But Minor before this one, Major Love can easily be read as a standalone.
