Things We Never Got Over
by Lucy Score
If you’re new to Kindle Unlimited romance, this is THE book I’d start with. It’s addictive, funny, romantic, and delivers everything I want from a small-town romance with a fantastic grumpy hero and a found family you’ll want to move in with.

Drive
by Kate Stewart
One of my top three romance books of all time. If you want an emotional love story that completely consumes you and stays with you long after you finish, Drive is the book I’d put in your hands.
Read Drive on Kindle Unlimited โ

Play Along
by Liz Tomforde
My favorite Liz Tomforde book and one of my favorite sports romances in Kindle Unlimited. Isaiah’s complete devotion to Kennedy, their undeniable chemistry, and how hard he falls for her made this an easy five-star read for me.

Knot So Lucky
by Trilina Pucci
Pick this one when you want something hilarious, ridiculously steamy, and packed with chemistry. Knot So Lucky was such a fun read, and it’s exactly the kind of Kindle Unlimited find that makes me want to tell other romance readers, โYou need to read this.โ

Fourth Wing
by Rebecca Yarros
If you’ve somehow missed Fourth Wing, I’m here to tell you that this is one wildly popular book that’s absolutely worth the hype. The dragons, danger, addictive romance, and chemistry between Violet and Xaden completely sucked me in and made this impossible to put down.
Don’t Have Kindle Unlimited?

If You Want Great Banter, Tension & Chemistry
Sometimes the best part of a romance is everything that happens before the characters finally give in. If you love sharp banter, delicious tension, and chemistry you can practically feel coming off the page, start with these Kindle Unlimited romances.

Twisted Hate
by Ana Huang
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Brother’s Best Friend โข Forced Proximity
This is my favorite book in Ana Huang’s Twisted series because Josh and Jules genuinely cannot stand each other, which makes it SO good when all that animosity finally gives way to attraction. They know exactly how to push each other’s buttons, the banter is sharp, and the tension is off the charts. Pick this one when you want enemies-to-lovers that really earns the โenemiesโ part.

Rules for the Summer
by Meghan Quinn
Tropes: Forced Proximity โข Opposites Attract โข Summer Romance
This one reminded me just how much I love Meghan Quinn when she gives me a romance that’s funny without losing the heart. The chemistry builds alongside all those little moments that made me fall for Renley and Theo, and I especially loved how much Theo showed he cared through what he did for her. Pick this one when you want something funny, romantic, and ridiculously easy to read.

The Takeover
by T.L. Swan
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Billionaire Romance โข Single Mom
Tristan Miles is the reason this book is on the list. What starts as fantastic banter and antagonism turns into one of those romances where the hero completely surprises you, especially once Claire’s three boys enter the picture. He’s hilarious and so much more than the arrogant billionaire you expect him to be. If you love a hero who wins you over right along with the heroine, read this.

Marriage for One
by Ella Maise
Tropes: Marriage of Convenience โข Slow Burn
This is for my slow-burn readers because Jack and Rose make you WAIT for it, but that’s exactly what makes their relationship so satisfying. Their marriage begins as an arrangement, but it’s all the small moments and gradual shift between them that had me completely invested. If you love a hero whose actions say far more than his words, this is one to pick up.

Nine Month Contract
by Amy Daws
Tropes: Surrogacy โข Forced Proximity โข He Falls First
Amy Daws does humor and banter so well, and this book gives you plenty of both alongside an attraction between these two that becomes impossible to ignore. But there’s also real heart underneath it all as their relationship grows and trust starts to build. Pick this one if you want plenty of laughs and chemistry with a hero who falls harder than he ever planned.

The Worst Guy
by Kate Canterbary
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Workplace Romance โข Forced Proximity
These two are grown adults who absolutely know better and still cannot stop antagonizing each other, and I loved them for it. Their banter is biting, their chemistry is undeniable, and being forced into conflict-resolution sessions only gives them more opportunities to get under each other’s skin. If you want mature characters with a messy, combative enemies-to-lovers dynamic, this one delivers.

Give Me More
by Sara Cate
Tropes: Married Couple โข Friends to Lovers โข Poly Romance
I LOVE this book because Sara Cate takes a married couple and their best friend and makes you believe in the chemistry and connection among all three of them. Yes, it’s incredibly steamy, but it’s the emotions underneath everything that made this a five-star read for me. If you’re open to a poly romance that delivers both serious heat and real feelings, don’t skip this one.

Knot So Lucky
by Trilina Pucci
Tropes: Accidental Marriage โข Strangers to Lovers โข Las Vegas
This book is an absolute blast. The banter is hilarious, the chemistry is immediate, and the steam level is…a lot, in the best possible way. It’s one of those romances that completely commits to being fun and steamy without making me work for the payoff. If you want a KU romance that will make you laugh and fan yourself in equal measure, this is it.

If You Want Something Emotional
Sometimes I want a romance that does more than give me butterflies. These are the Kindle Unlimited romances I’d pick when you want big feelings, unforgettable characters, and a love story that stays with you after you finish.

Drive
by Kate Stewart
Tropes: Love Triangle โข Rock Star Romance
There are very few books that have put me through the emotional wringer quite like Drive, and it’s still one of my top three romance books of all time. Kate Stewart completely consumed me with this story, and I felt every high, every heartbreak, and every impossible choice right along with Stella. Read this when you want a romance that will make you FEEL and aren’t afraid of a love triangle.

In the Likely Event
by Rebecca Yarros
Tropes: Second Chance Romance โข Military Romance โข Forced Proximity
Rebecca Yarros knows how to bring the emotion, and Nate and Izzy’s story had me hooked from their unforgettable first meeting through every twist in their relationship. I loved the way their history unfolds alongside the present-day story and how clear it becomes that neither has ever truly let the other go. Pick this one when you want yearning, history, and a second chance that feels worth fighting for.

Say You Swear
by Meagan Brandy
Tropes: College Romance โข Sports Romance โข Love Triangle
This book HURT in the best possible way. What I thought was going to be a fairly typical college sports romance became so much more, and Noah Riley is the kind of hero who makes it impossible not to fall for him. If you love angst, big emotions, and a romance that keeps surprising you, Say You Swear is absolutely worth the emotional roller coaster.

The Gravity of Us
by Brittainy C. Cherry
Tropes: Opposites Attract โข Forbidden Romance โข Forced Proximity
Brittainy C. Cherry is one of those authors I reach for when I want ALL the emotions, and The Gravity of Us is one of my favorites. Graham and Lucy couldn’t be more different, but watching her slowly bring warmth and light into his life is what made their connection so memorable for me. Pick this one when you want a beautifully emotional romance with characters who really need each other.

The Homemaker
by Jewel E. Ann
Tropes: Second Chance Romance โข Forced Proximity โข Forbidden Romance
This is one of those books where the less you know going in, the better. Alice and Murphy’s unexpected reunion sets off such a unique second chance romance, and Jewel E. Ann took their story in directions I never saw coming. This book gave me SO many feelings with its twists, complicated relationships, and emotional surprises. Pick this one when you want something completely different that will keep you guessing.

Some Sort of Happy
by Melanie Harlow
Tropes: Friends to Lovers โข Mental Health Rep โข Small-Town Romance
What has always stuck with me about this book is the care Melanie Harlow gives Sebastian’s mental health struggles without losing sight of the romance between him and Skylar. They knew each other in high school, but reconnecting as adults gives them the chance to see each other completely differently. Pick this one if you want a heartfelt romance with real emotional depth and characters who have to work for their happy ending.
If Sports Romance Is Your Weakness
Give me a great romance AND a hero who knows how to play, and I’m in. These are the sports romances in Kindle Unlimited I’d recommend when you want plenty of chemistry both on and off the field, court, or ice.

Play Along
by Liz Tomforde
Tropes: Accidental Marriage โข He Falls First โข Baseball Romance
This is my favorite Liz Tomforde book, and Isaiah is a huge reason why. He’s been gone for Kennedy long before their accidental Vegas wedding gives him the chance to show her just how serious he can be. I loved his devotion, their chemistry, and watching Kennedy finally let down her walls. If you love a hero who’s ALL IN and a sports romance with plenty of heart, don’t miss this one.

The Wild Card
by Stephanie Archer
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Forced Proximity โข Single Dad
Jordan and Coach Ward have three and a half YEARS of animosity behind them, which made their enemies-to-lovers tension so much fun for me. She’s the Vancouver Storm owner’s daughter and he’s the coach who keeps showing up to โcheck on her,โ but I especially loved all the little (and sometimes big) ways he quietly helps Jordan succeed within the organization and build her confidence. Pick this one if you want hockey, history, tension, and a hero whose actions speak volumes.

Consider Me
by Becka Mack
Tropes: Hockey Romance โข Reformed Player โข He Falls First
Carter Beckett is cocky, persistent, completely over-the-top, and SO funny, which is a huge part of why he’s such an unforgettable hero. I loved watching Olivia make this notorious player work for her while Carter falls harder and harder, but it’s his personality that really makes this book. Read it if you want a hilarious hockey romance and the kind of hero you’ll be thrilled to see pop up again throughout the rest of the series.

Blind Side
by Kandi Steiner
Tropes: Football Romance โข Fake Dating โข Friends to Lovers
This is the Kandi Steiner book I’d put in your hands when you want a college sports romance that’s impossible not to root for. Clay and Giana’s fake relationship gives them plenty of opportunity to practice what the other needs to win over someone else, only for all that chemistry to become increasingly difficult to ignore. Pick this one if fake dating and football romance are your weakness.
Can’t get enough? โ See all my favorite sports romance books.
If Forbidden Romance Is Your Weakness
Sometimes knowing two people probably shouldn’t be together only makes you want them together more. These Kindle Unlimited romances deliver complicated relationships, irresistible attraction, and plenty of reasons why falling for each other would be a very bad idea.

The Sweetest Oblivion
by Danielle Lori
Tropes: Forbidden Romance โข Mafia Romance โข Slow Burn
This is the mafia romance I recommend when you want tension you can practically FEEL coming off the page. Nico is supposed to marry Elena’s sister, which makes every look and interaction between Nico and Elena that much more forbidden, and Danielle Lori makes you wait for the payoff. Pick this one when you want a slow burn where the chemistry between two people who absolutely should not want each other becomes impossible to ignore.

Brutal Vows
by J.T. Geissinger
Tropes: Mafia Romance โข Forbidden Romance โข Enemies to Lovers
Spider is supposed to marry Reyna’s niece, but it’s Reyna who proves to be his match in every possible way. I loved watching these two strong personalities go head-to-head as their hostility gives way to an attraction that definitely complicates the marriage that’s supposed to happen. Even better, once their relationship shifts, they actually communicate. Pick this one when you want a mafia romance with a powerful heroine and two characters who can absolutely handle each other.

Branded
by Saffron A. Kent
Tropes: Kidnapping โข Forced Marriage โข Forbidden Romance
How Saffron A. Kent made me root for a heroine falling for the ex-con who kidnaps her and forces her into marriage, I don’t know, but I ATE IT UP. Arsen is slightly dangerous, standoffish, and a little unhinged one moment, then utterly romantic the next, and I loved that dichotomy. Pick this one if you want a steamy forbidden romance with a hint of danger, an unforgettable hero, and total consent where it matters.

Welcome to the Dark Side
by Giana Darling
Tropes: Age Gap Romance โข Motorcycle Club Romance โข Forbidden Romance
This is definitely one of the more taboo romances on my list, but Zeus and Lou’s connection is what made it such a memorable read for me. Their relationship develops over years before becoming romantic, and Giana Darling completely sold me on a pairing that could easily have been difficult to root for. Pick this one if you like a significant age gap, an MC setting, and romances that aren’t afraid to push your comfort zone.
Want more? โ See my favorite forbidden romance books.
If You Love Small-Town Romance
There’s just something about a romance where the town itself becomes part of the story. These are my favorite Kindle Unlimited picks when you want close-knit communities, memorable characters, and love stories that make small-town life pretty hard to resist.

Things We Never Got Over
by Lucy Score
Tropes: Grumpy Sunshine โข Small-Town Romance โข Found Family
If you’re going to read one Lucy Score book, make it this one. Knox and Naomi hooked me from the start, but it’s the entire town of Knockemout and the found family surrounding them that makes this book so much fun to fall into. It’s funny, romantic, addictive, and exactly the kind of book that shows why small-town romance works so well. There’s a reason this is one of THE books to read in Kindle Unlimited.

Wild Eyes
by Elsie Silver
Tropes: Small-Town Romance โข Single Dad โข Celebrity Romance
This is the Elsie Silver book I’d recommend when you want to completely escape into small-town life. I loved West as the horse trainer and single dad who gives country music star Skylar a place where she can finally breathe away from the spotlight, but it’s the connection she builds with him and his family that made this a five-star read for me. Pick this one for family, heart, and that irresistible small-town feel Elsie does so well.

Savor It
by Tarah DeWitt
Tropes: Fake Dating โข Small-Town Romance โข Summer Romance
I loved the softer, heartfelt feel of this romance between Sage, who’s tired of being pitied and defined by everyone in her small town, and Fisher, a chef struggling with grief while trying to get a new restaurant off the ground. Their fake-dating arrangement gives them both something they need, but it’s watching them really SEE each other that made this such a special read for me. Pick this one when you want small-town charm with plenty of heart.

Cash
by Jessica Peterson
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Opposites Attract โข Small-Town Romance
This is the book that made me fall for cowboy romances. Cash and Mollie are complete opposites, and putting this cowboy up against a city girl gives you fantastic banter, Jessica Peterson’s signature humor, and chemistry that brings some serious steam. Pick this one when you want enemies-to-lovers where all that friction makes the attraction between them impossible to resist.

Not My Kind of Hero
by Pippa Grant
Tropes: Small-Town Romance โข Single Mom โข Starting Over
Maisey is the kind of imperfect heroine I love because she’s trying to rebuild her life while also figuring out how to be the mom she wants to be for her teenage daughter. Starting over in a small town definitely doesn’t go according to plan, especially when she’s attracted to the neighbor who also happens to be her daughter’s teacher and soccer coach. Pick this one when you want humor, family, and a heroine finding herself right alongside the romance.

If You Want Fantasy, Paranormal or Something Different
Maybe contemporary romance isn’t what you’re craving at all. These Kindle Unlimited picks bring dragons, magic, shifters, and a few surprises into the mix when you want your love story with something a little outside the ordinary.

Fourth Wing
by Rebecca Yarros
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers โข Romantasy โข Dragons
This is one wildly popular book that I absolutely think is worth the hype. Violet and Xaden have the kind of tension that immediately had me invested, but add in dragons, a dangerous war college, friendships worth rooting for, and a story that keeps moving, and I couldn’t put it down. If you’re a romance reader curious about romantasy, Fourth Wing is the book I’d tell you to try first.

Shield of Sparrows
by Devney Perry
Tropes: Arranged Marriage โข Romantasy โข Forced Proximity
If you already know Devney Perry for contemporary romance, this book proves she can make the jump to romantasy too. I loved watching Odessa step into a world and a marriage she isn’t prepared for and slowly discover there’s far more going on than she realizes. Pick this one when you want an arranged-marriage fantasy romance with adventure, intrigue, and a heroine coming into her own.

The Bird and the Sword
by Amy Harmon
Tropes: Fantasy Romance โข Forced Proximity โข Magic
Amy Harmon gives this fantasy romance such a beautiful, almost fairy-tale quality that makes it feel completely different from the bigger, action-heavy romantasy books. I loved the magic, the emotional connection, and the quieter feel of this love story. Even better, it’s a standalone, so you can completely escape into this fantasy world without signing yourself up for an entire series.

Feral Sins
by Suzanne Wright
Tropes: Shifter Romance โข Fake Relationship โข Fated Mates
If you like your paranormal romance with alpha characters, plenty of attitude, and two people who know how to go toe-to-toe with each other, Feral Sins is a classic KU pick. Taryn gives Trey just as much as she gets, which is exactly why their dynamic works. Pick this one when you want wolf shifters, sharp banter, strong personalities, and a paranormal romance that doesn’t take the quiet route.

Pen Pal
by J.T. Geissinger
Tropes: Romantic Suspense โข Mysterious Stranger โข Twisty Romance
The less you know about Pen Pal before reading it, the better. This book completely messed with my head in the best way, and it’s one of those stories where I kept questioning what I thought I knew right up until everything came together. It’s a good thing it’s in Kindle Unlimited because you’re going to want to head straight back to the beginning and read it again as soon as you finish. Go into this one blind.

If You Love MM Romance
If you love MM romance, these three Kindle Unlimited books are easy recommendations for me. From one of my all-time favorite romances to rock stars and an unforgettable college romance, each gives you a completely different reason to fall for the couple.

Him
by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy
Tropes: MM Romance โข Hockey Romance โข Friends to Lovers
This isn’t just one of my favorite MM romances. It’s one of my favorite romance books of ALL TIME. Jamie and Wes have years of friendship and history between them, and I loved watching them reconnect and finally confront the attraction and feelings that have been sitting between them. If you’re new to MM romance or already love it, this is the book I’d put in your hands first.

Halo
by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine
Tropes: MM Romance โข Rock Star Romance โข Bandmates
I still think about this book years after reading it, which tells you everything you need to know about why it made this list. Halo and Viper have fantastic chemistry as new bandmates, but I especially loved watching Halo navigate feelings and attraction he wasn’t expecting. Pick this one if you want an addictive rock star romance with a pairing you’ll immediately want more of.

Want Me
by Neve Wilder
Tropes: MM Romance โข College Romance โข Roommates
This is the book to pick when you want an MM romance that turns up the heat while still giving you characters and a relationship worth getting invested in. Nate and Eric’s attraction becomes pretty impossible to ignore once they’re living under the same roof, and I loved the intensity between them. Pick this one when you want a college romance that’s steamy, addictive, and very hard to put down.
