My Review of Bad Boy Era
How did we get to the end of this series?!
Amy Daws absolutely nailed this final installment in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series, giving Everly, the matchmaker herself, the happily ever after sheโs been orchestrating for everyone else.
Everly has always been at the center of everyone elseโs love story, but never quite believed in one for herself. Watching her finally step into her own story felt like the perfect full-circle moment.
Enter Wolfโฆ aka Conriโฆ aka the grumpy, broody workhand with a chip on his shoulder and a past thatโs caught up with him. His forced proximity with Everly sets the stage for an opposites-attract dynamic that slowly peels back both of their layers.
What I loved most about Wolf is that beneath his gruff exterior, he truly sees Everly – the parts she hides behind her matchmaking and the pieces she thinks are โtoo much.โ And instead of pulling away, he leans in.
Their relationship starts with a hint of enemies-to-lovers energy and evolves into a slow burn that was supposed to be just a flingโฆ until it very much wasnโt.
This book brings all the humor and heart Iโve come to expect from Amy Daws. Between the rescue animals, the unclesโ protective antics, and the signature banter, it had that perfect blend of chaos and charm that makes this series so addictive.
And I have to sayโฆ the unexpected star of this book?
Stevie.
Iโm obsessed. Every single scene she was in completely stole the show. Donโt tell the uncles, but she might be my favorite Fletcher now.
What I Loved
- Stevie and her obsession with Wolf (aka Nana) – I devoured every scene she was in
- The unclesโ protectiveness that felt genuinely sweet and not over-the-top
- Wolfโs emotional intelligence and how he truly saw Everly beneath the surface
- The setup for whatโs coming next in Amy Dawsโ world
Things to Know Before You Read
- Includes a brief moment of gentle primal play
- Features a bearded dragonโฆ and yes, Wolf fully embraces his role as โDragon Daddyโ
- Mentions of past stalking (brief)
- Can be read as a standalone, but reading the full series makes this ending much more satisfying
Final Thoughts
This is such a satisfying and heartfelt sendoff to a series that has delivered on humor, heart, and romance from the very beginning.
If youโve been following the Mountain Men Matchmaker series, this is an absolute must-read to see everything and everyone come full circle.
And donโt skip the extended epilogue – itโs truly the icing on the cake and gives a little glimpse into whatโs next.
I received an advance reader copy. All opinions are my own.
