New Romance Book Releases Coming December 2022
This month I know I’ll be busy with all the holiday hubbub so I kept this list to just 8 new releases and they are quite a mix!
I’ve got a Christmas romance book, a witch romance, a very cool retelling of sorts I cannot wait to read, a historical romance and a steamy mafia romance.
Quite the variety am I right?! That’s what I love so much about the romance genre.

My Top New Romance Book Releases Coming This December:
Witcha Gonna Do
by Avery Flynn
A Witchy Romcom
Releasing December 6
Could it possibly get any worse than having absolutely no magical abilities when you’re a member of the most powerful family of witches ever?
Actually yes, since I keep getting set up on dates with Gil Connolly who I can’t stand yet can’t can’t stop thinking about.
But things get worse when I accidentally make my sister’s spell glitch and curse my whole family.
And the only person who can help non-magical me break the spell? Gil the super hot jerk.
Now we have to work together to save my family and outmaneuver some evil-minded nefarious forces bent on world domination while fighting our attraction.
This book sounds too cute for words. I love a good enemies to lovers when really there is an underlying attraction. So fun!
I’m anxious to see what Flynn has in store for this witch romance that will kick off an entire new series!
Well Traveled
by Jen DeLuca
A Forced Proximity Romance
Releasing December 6
A high-powered attorney from a success-oriented family, Louisa “Lulu” Malone lives to work, and everything seems to be going right, until the day she realizes it’s all wrong.
Lulu’s cousin Mitch introduced her to the world of Renaissance Faires, and when she spies one at a time just when she needs an escape, she’s off.
The only drawback? Dex MacLean, a guitarist and the Casanova of the Faire is her traveling companion for the summer.
Forced to spend days and nights together on the road, Lulu’s interest in the kilted bad boy grows as he shows her a side of himself no one else has seen.
The stresses of her old lifestyle fade away as she learns to trust her intuition and follow her heart instead of her head.
But when her time on the road is over, will Lulu go with her gut, or are she and Dex destined for separate paths?
I do love a good forced proximity romance but I admit that I’ve yet to read one with a Renaissance Faire as the backdrop.
I’m totally game and excited to see this romance blook amidst turkey legs and other faire shenanigans!
A Dirty Business
by Tijan
A Mafia Romance
Releasing December 6
When Jess Montell meets Trace West at a hockey game, she doesn’t know his name or occupation.
What she does know is there’s an instant attraction that’s impossible to ignore—or forget.
And forgetting is exactly what she wants to do when she learns he’s not just a successful Wall Street suit but the heir to one of New York’s biggest Mafia families.
The last thing Trace needs is a romantic anything with law enforcement, and parole officer Jess has trouble written all over her.
Trace didn’t ask for the Mafia life. Jess doesn’t want any part of it. They both know it’s safer to stay away, but the temptation is too hard to resist—no matter how great the danger.
I’m hooked on this book just from the book blurb and I’m ready for a bit of steam this month.
This will be my first Tijan book if you can believe it so I’m going in with high expectations.
This is the first book in a duet so it may end in a cliffhanger, FYI!
Pin This for Later:
Smoke and Steel
by Kristen Ashley
A Motorcycle Club Romance
Releasing December 6
Hellen Moynihan didn’t have dreams. She had goals. So when her long-term boyfriend didn’t make the grade, she moved on.
Dustin “Hardcore” Cutler didn’t have dreams or goals. A troubled past led Core to do something irredeemable.
The only thing he and the men of the Resurrection MC could do was vow to live their lives making up for an unforgiveable act.
This duty leads Core to being a part of a covert protection detail, looking after Hellen Moynihan when trouble is coming to town.
For Core, she’s off-limits until Hellen and her friend wade into a multi-state swindling scheme and he’s got no choice but to get up close and personal.
It’s been a while since I read a Kristen Ashley book and I foresee a motorcycle club romance book list in my future so figure it would be good to check this one out!
Anastasia
by Sophie Lark
An Enemies to Lovers Fantasy Romance
Releasing December 6
Anastasia is the princess no one needs: the fourth daughter born to an emperor without a son, and the only royal lacking a magical gift.
Until she collides with a young Cossack rebel, changing both their lives forever.
Damien is taken from everything he knows and raised as a ward of the Romanovs.
Anastasia develops a strange kind of magic shared only by the Black Monk Rasputin.
While her power grows in secret, boosted by forbidden contact with Damien, Anastasia makes a mistake with terrible consequences.
Fate grants her a single chance to set it right… but saving what she lost may cost everything she loves.
Lark has shared that this is not a retelling of other Anastasia story but her fantasy of the happy ending Anastasia deserved.
I think it sounds fantastic and cannot wait to see how the fantasy elements play out.
The Frat Boy
by Nikki Sloane
An Enemies to Lovers College Romance
Releasing December 6
Colin Novak is the big man on campus. Nearly every girl at Davidson University has had a ride on him except me.
When I catch his fraternity cheating at the Greek Week tournament, he denies it—causing our rivalry between houses to escalate.
Colin and I may have started the mud fight, but it grows until we are both expelled from our houses leaving me homeless.
So, while answering an ad for a leading role at an adult film company wasn’t part of my career path, the work comes with a lot of perks. Steady salary. Accommodations close to campus. A safe place to explore my fantasies.
Except when I show up for my audition, my partner is none other than my new archenemy—Colin. And our chemistry is off the charts.
OMG yes, I want this and I want it now. I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite in the Nashville Neighborhood series by Sloane because I love everything about it.
Enemies to lovers – check! Forced proximity – check! And their new jobs – I can only imagine the steaminess Sloane is going to bring to their scenes.
Merry Christmas to me 😊
Sneaking Around With the Player
by Rebecca Jenshak
A Holiday Romance
Releasing December 6
It was supposed to be a quick conversation with a cute boy at the airport while I dodged my ex and his new girlfriend.
We weren’t supposed to trade numbers. He wasn’t supposed to be a football player.
And I definitely wasn’t supposed to fall for him since he’s attending a college a thousand miles away.
I saw past his jersey. And he saw past my last name.
Now it’s semester break, and by some Christmas miracle, he’s going to be close. I want to meet him again, but there’s just one problem.
My older brother can’t, under any circumstances, find out I’m dating his rival.
I’m definitely down for a new Christmas romance this month and this one sounds perfect.
I love the reason for their meet cute and I adore the forbidden romance nature to their meeting up.
Here’s hoping this will be a holiday romance I’ll want to re-read every year!
Second Chance Dance
by Laney Hatcher
An Enemies to Lovers, Historical Romance
Releasing December 13
I never wanted to be the catch of the season. But when you’re a wealthy widow who presents a challenge for all the fortune hunters in London, it’s difficult to stay out of the spotlight.
Miles Griffin has returned to London. Before he can find his footing in Mayfair, he’s made an unexpected enemy of me.
But something happens between us across the ballroom. Our passions flare, and I burn like I never have before.
I’m determined to avoid marriage, but perhaps an arrangement with the handsome earl is not out of the question.
Just when the future seems brightest, secrets and surprises threaten everything we’ve built.
Miles must make a choice between the man he was and the man he wants to be. And I need to decide if I’m willing to risk more than just my heart for a second chance at happiness.
I must be really craving enemies to lovers romances this month because this is another one that caught my eye.
I’ve been loving Laney Hatcher’s London Ladies Embroidery series so it’s high time I check out her Bartholomew series as well.
She has a way of making me fall in love with historical romance all over again!
