๐ My Top 10 Romance Book Releases for June 2026
If you only read a few books this month, start with these:
Father Material by Alexis Hall
Releasing June 2, 2026
Married couple | Queer romance
Luc and Oliver have become one of those couples I canโt quit, so of course, this instantly landed on my list of most anticipated romance books of 2026. Their relationship has always felt messy, honest, chaotic, and incredibly real in the best possible way.
The idea of these two trying to add a puppy into their already complicated world sounds both hilarious and emotionally disastrous, which is exactly what I want from Alexis Hall. If you loved watching their fake relationship turn into something deeper, this next chapter feels impossible to resist.

Game of Rogues by Julie Anne Long
Releasing June 2, 2026
Historical romance | Forced proximity
At this point, if Julie Anne Long writes a book, Iโm reading it. No questions asked.
She continues to prove why sheโs one of the absolute best historical romance authors writing today, and Game of Rogues delivers everything I love most about her books: yearning, exquisite banter, humor, emotional depth, and characters who completely consume your heart. Ginny and Gabrielโs chemistry is phenomenal from the start, and the forced proximity at the Grand Palace on the Thames only makes it better.
You Wonโt Forget Me by Mazey Eddings
Releasing June 9, 2026
Queer romance | Forced proximity | Rock star romance | Toxic ex
Mazey Eddings is quickly becoming one of the standout voices in queer romance, and Iโm especially intrigued by this sapphic rock star romance setup.
Bandmate tension, forced proximity, emotional baggage, and a toxic ex lurking in the background? This feels tailor-made for readers who love messy chemistry and emotionally charged romances where the music world only heightens the tension.
The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston
Releasing June 16, 2026
Magical realism romance
Nobody does magical contemporary romance quite like Ashley Poston, and this already feels like one of THE romance books of summer.
Iโm getting Secret Garden vibes mixed with emotional healing, possible love triangle drama, and the kind of whimsical atmosphere Ashley always nails so well. Her books have this incredible ability to feel comforting and magical at the same time, and I have a feeling this one is going to completely take over Bookstagram this summer.
Tropesick by Lauren Okie
Releasing June 16, 2026
Second chance romance | Forced proximity | Magic | Brotherโs best friend
Any romance novel that openly celebrates romance tropes already has my attention, but Tropesick surprised me with how emotionally layered it became.
I loved how Lauren used familiar romance tropes while telling a deeply emotional second chance romance shaped by grief, addiction, and years of unresolved pain. Watching Katie and Tyler reconnect while ghostwriting a romance novel together was such a clever setup and gave this story a really unique feel within the genre.

Dearly Departed by Chip Pons
Releasing June 16, 2026
Queer romance | Grumpy sunshine | Opposites attract | Greek mythology inspired
Chip Pons continues to be one of those authors whose romances immediately catch my attention because they always sound fresh and different.
But honestly? A Hades-inspired romcom where Hades runs a funeral home already had me fully sold. This setup feels like complete catnip for grumpy sunshine readers, and Iโm really curious to see how Chip blends mythology-inspired elements with humor and romance.
Reasons to Be Loved by You by Hannah Brown
Releasing June 23, 2026
Opposites attract | Forced proximity
Iโve really enjoyed Hannah Brownโs interconnected romances centered around female friendship, so Iโve been waiting for Nikkiโs story ever since the last book.
A lakeside setting, wedding chaos, opposites attract tension, and the possibility that something darker is happening beneath the surface? This sounds like the kind of summer romance that completely sucks you in and refuses to let go.
In Every Possible Way by Alicia Thompson
Releasing June 23, 2026
Magic | Forced proximity | He falls first | Romance that inspires travel
This is the kind of romance you sink into for a weekend and immediately want to book a flight afterward.
Alicia Thompson created such a beautiful blend of magic, travel, and romance with Jess and Eamonnโs story. Watching these two slowly fall for each other while traveling across Ireland gave me major Before Sunrise vibes and completely swept me away. Plus, Eamonn is exactly the kind of quietly protective hero I never stop falling for.

Chase Me If You Can by Heather Frances
Releasing June 23, 2026
Forced proximity | Rivals to lovers | He falls first
Rival storm chasers is such a wildly fun romance setup, and Heather Francis absolutely delivered with this debut.
I loved how immersive the storm-chasing backdrop felt without ever overshadowing the romance itself. Wes and Sloaneโs chemistry builds beautifully throughout the story, and if you love a hero who falls first while pretending he absolutely doesnโt stand a chance, Wes is going to work for you in a BIG way.

Big Stick Energy by Sarina Bowen
Releasing June 30, 2026
Fake dating | Hockey romance | Office romance | She falls first
I have been waiting for Darcy and Ericโs story ever since Thrown for a Loop because the tension between these two was already FIRE.
I cannot resist a romance where the heroine has been secretly lusting after the hot-shot playboy forever, and suddenly fake dating gives her a real shot. Add in hockey romance, office tension, and Sarina Bowenโs ability to absolutely nail chemistry and emotional payoff, and I already know this is going straight to the top of my TBR.
