Birdie and Eddie have been best friends since college. He’s now an actor on a hit TV show and she’s an archivist with a thing for Sherlock Holmes. They are complete opposites but one night has them looking at the other in a whole new light.
Now they are traveling across the country together in the same train suite to get to New York for Valentine’s Day. What could possibly happen?
This was such a perfect, fun read for Valentine’s Day! If you love friends to lovers romance, forced proximity romances, or opposites attract stories, this one will tick all the boxes. It’s a quick read that I devoured in a day. I loved it and highly recommend it.

It’s Valentine’s Day, but Macy Rodgers isn’t feeling the love. Aside from a torrid, one-night fling in a backseat a few months ago, Macy Rodgers’ love life has been sorely lacking. Fortunately, she has devious friends who feel like playing Cupid.
Wouldn’t they be shocked to learn that the match they’ve made for her is the same one that steamed up the back of that ’69 GTO.
Seth “Ghost” Warren has just returned to town after an extended absence. Between his grandmother’s failing health, his job as a tattoo artist, his band’s gigs, and an ex that won’t leave him alone, he’s stretched thin. Cautious cowgirl Macy is the last thing he needs thrown into the mix.
She’s all country, he’s all heavy metal—and Macy knows that if anyone can propel her out of her rut, it’s Seth. But when their worlds collide, it’s anyone’s guess if they’ll survive with their hearts intact.
This Valentine’s Day romance book made my list of steamy romance novels because it was H-O-T hot! Seriously, this book will have you aching for more Ghost and Macy they are just so great together and wicked in the sheets.
If you don’t have a date this Valentine’s Day, just tune into dirty-talking Ghost. I guarantee you’ll want to claim this tattoo artist as your own.

The Bookworm’s Guide to Flirting
by Emma Hart
What I thought I’d get on Valentine’s Day: a card. What I got on Valentine’s Day: a blind date with my brand new roommate.
Saylor Green is wholeheartedly against blind dating. But when Dylan Parker takes the seat across from her, she realizes he’s hot and funny and sweet and the exact kind of guy she reads about in the romance novels she sells in my bookstore.
But he’s also her new roommate. Now he’s offering to help her with her dating success when all she really wants is to flirt with him.
Instead of going out on your own blind date this Valentine’s Day, curl up with this roommates to lovers romance book from Hart.
I’m all for the banter between these two and I love that Sawyer owns a bookstore! You can’t go wrong with this Valentine’s Day romance book.
The Valentine’s Hate
by Sidney Halston
Cupid only strikes once. At least that’s what Lissette Alonso believes. Ever since the Most Disastrous Valentine’s Day of All Time™ she has hated all things V-day. But Lizzie’s best friend is having pre-nuptial festivities for a week leading up to her February 14th wedding and Lissette is taking her maid of honor duties seriously.
Of course, who is the first person she runs into on the way to the wedding? None other than her childhood nemesis, Brian Anderson, the reason for all of her Valentine’s Day hatred.
Brian knows he messed up with Lizzie but give him a break, he was just a kid who was trying to look cool both in school and out of it. Suddenly the two are back under the same roof and bickering like old times, except that Brian has bigger problems than dealing with Lizzie’s verbal sparring.
Someone Brian is desperate to avoid shows up and somehow Lizzie gets roped into pretending to be dating him. And, suddenly, the simmering anger has blossomed into something extra spicy.
If you have a reason to hate all future Valentine’s Days then this just might be the romance book for you. Enemies to lovers books often make the hottest reads and I have high hopes for this Valentine’s Day-themed fake engagement rom-com!

The Trouble With Valentine’s Day
by Rachel Gibson
The Trouble With Valentine’s Day? It just plain stinks! Kate Hamilton should know. Dumped by her boyfriend, burnt out by her job, she’s returned to Gospel, Idaho, where a Mountain Momma Crafters’ original poetry reading is about as good as it gets on a Friday night.
Then her first attempted seduction of a hunky stranger is completely rejected. So much for her self-esteem!
It turns out that Rob Sutter, former ice hockey madman, owner of Sutter’s Sports—and the hunky stranger who told her to get lost—has been more than burned by love and isn’t looking for a relationship.
But then he and Kate find themselves in an ultra-compromising position in the M&S Market after-hours, giving the phrase “clean up in aisle five” a whole new meaning, and causing a whole lot of gossip in Gospel.
This romance book sounds adorable and I love that it features a former hockey player and a woman who’s not afraid to put herself out there.
If you’re looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day romance book where two people once burned by love find it again in each other, you’ll want to pick this one up.
My Phony Valentine
by Courtney Walsh
My days usually consist of agonizing over my failing restaurant, worrying about my mountain of debt and nursing my broken heart. Everything changes when I bump into a man in the coffee shop and claim him as my new boyfriend.
To my absolute horror, he turns out to be hockey’s most renowned bad boy, Dallas Burke. To my absolute delight, he goes along with my story.
When his no-nonsense manager and meddling grandmother jump in the picture, they see a win-win solution for my failing restaurant and Dallas’s less-than-stellar reputation. A full-fledged fake romance complete with contract negotiations, pretend dates and phony PDA.
But as I get to know the real Dallas Burke, who is not the man the press says he is, it becomes clear that if this isn’t real. . . someone better tell it to my heart.
This Valentine’s Day romance book makes it sound like walking up to someone and simply announcing them as your boyfriend is a great dating strategy to try! Might be a lot easier than navigating the latest dating app!
If I saw a hot hockey player, maybe I’d do the same, but in the meantime, I’ll just settle in with this romance novel instead 😊.

The Valentine’s Arrangement
by Kelsie Leverich
Tattoo artist Ronnie Clark is counting the days until Valentine’s Day is over. Ronnie doesn’t do romance and she doesn’t do love—not anymore. Love leads to heartbreak, and she’s vowed never to let herself get hurt again.
Sergeant First Class Kale Emerson is home on his mid-tour leave from Iraq, but he only has one thing on his mind—returning to his soldiers to finish leading their mission. He’s dedicated to his men and to his country, and he’s not interested in getting wrapped up in a distracting relationship…but something casual, that’s a different story.
From the moment he sees Ronnie, he wants her. And he agrees to her terms: no romance, no fluff—just passion. But as their chemistry ignites, the lines of their arrangement get blurry, and Ronnie starts to push Kale away.
And when Kale realizes he’s found his match in this gorgeous razor-tongued woman who is hell-bent against love, winning her heart could be the toughest battle he has ever fought.
If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day romance book that’s a bit more steamy this one may be up your alley.
I love romance novels with relationships that start out as something casual because you know that inevitably feelings will take root for both characters. I’m just curious to see how Kale will finally rope Ronnie in!
Exes & Os
by Amy Lea
Romance book connoisseur Tara Chen has had her heart broken ten times by ten different men—all of whom dumped her because of her “stage-five clinger” tendencies. Nevertheless, Tara is determined to find The One. The only problem? Classic meet-cutes are a thing of the past, thanks to modern dating apps.
So Tara decides to revisit her exes in hopes of securing her very own trope-worthy second-chance romance.
Boston firefighter Trevor Metcalfe will be the first to rush into a burning building but the last to rush into a relationship. Love just isn’t his thing. When his new roommate Tara enlists him to help her reconnect with her exes, he reluctantly agrees. But Tara’s journey is leading him to discover his own new chapter.
The more time they spend together, the more Tara realizes Trevor seems to be the only one who appreciates her authentic, dramatic self. To claim their happily ever after, can Tara and Trevor read between the lines of their growing connection?
This book had me at romance book connoisseur. 😊 I like to consider myself a connoisseur as well and someone who’s totally down for a roommate-to-lovers romance this Valentine’s Day.
I love that Tara is looking for her own second chance romance but will be surprised that love is right in front of her.

The Kissing Game
by Marie Harte
At six foot six, Axel Heller knows he intimidates most people. He’s been crushing on the gorgeous waitress, Rena Jackson, for months. But the muscled mechanic is no romantic, and his heart is buried so deep, he has no idea how to show Rena what he feels.
He knows he’s way out of his depth and she’s slipping away. So, he makes one crazy, desperate play.
Rena is a romantic, and she’s had her eye on Axel Heller for a while. He’s got the tall-brooding-and-handsome thing down pat, but he guards his heart well, and Rena is tired of waiting for him to notice her.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, she decides it’s time to forget about Axel and find her own Mr. Right. But that’s when Axel makes her a bet that involves the steamiest kiss she’s ever had.
I have no idea where this lands on the steamy side but it just sounds so cute. I think it would make the perfect read this Valentine’s Day given both main characters are crushing on each other hard without the other knowing it.
My Wicked Valentine
by Ann Mayburn
Lucia Roa needs a miracle to keep her fledgling event planning business from going under. When she gets word about the opportunity of a lifetime to do a Valentine’s Day party for an elite club in Washington D.C. she jumps at the chance, but then finds out it is for the premier private BDSM club, Wicked.
CEO Isaac O’Keefe swore off relationships years ago after having his heart broken and his bank account emptied by his gold digging first wife. He thought he’d managed to keep his heart under lock and key, but when Lucia walks into his office he is instantly drawn to the fiery beauty in a way he’s never felt before.
He convinces Lucia to take the position as event planner for Wicked’s Valentine’s Day Party, but in order to make the event a success, something he needs to happen to secure his place on the board at Wicked, he must give her a crash course at all the dark pleasures BDSM has to offer.
What starts out as a business partnership quickly turns into something more as Lucia breaks down every wall around his heart without even trying.
Isaac must then make a choice, push Lucia away and continue to live a safe, but lonely life, or open himself up again to the greatest pain and pleasure in the world. Love.
If you’re looking to learn about the kink these two enjoy, this Valentine’s Day romance book is just the ticket to get things hot and heavy this holiday.
You’ve got to give it to Isaac that he uses her job as an excuse to get her familiar with the lifestyle, but I have a feeling she won’t be protesting too hard.
Grab this romance if you’re looking for something erotic this Valentine’s Day.

The Valentine Inn
by Jennifer Peel
I, Charlotte Valentine, am mostly of sound mind. Typically, I make really good choices. But then I went and fell in love with my boss.
My sister told me not to accept the position as Drake Foster’s personal assistant. Apparently, she thinks it’s emotionally unhealthy for me to work for the object of my desire. What does she know?
Well, she knew enough to tell me not to go on a little jaunt with him through a blizzard or share the only room left at the coziest inn. But, I got the cutest kid ever and now the inn.
Drake has no idea until he goes down memory lane and shows up later at my beloved inn. Who knew our connection would be just as strong as it always was and that all this time, I’ve haunted him as much as he’s haunted me? But this time, will love come to stay, or is it checking out for good?
If surprise pregnancy is one of your favorite romance book tropes, make this your reading selection this Valentine’s Day.
It looks to be a really sweet second chance romance with an office romance twist!
Valentine’s Day Proposal
by Ava Gray
Building a business was easier than fixing my damaged heart after Charles dumped me out of nowhere. That was way back in college. I never thought I’d have to endure seeing his face again.
But the jerk just couldn’t stay out of my life for good. Running for the US Senate seat meant looking like a family man. Something that his team thought I could help him with.
That was my chance to get something out of him. Capital to take my business to another level. Saying yes was the easy part. But saying no to him kissing me was hard. Every single time.
The arrangement made it clear that he wasn’t just keeping secrets from the public. He was also hiding things from me. But I wasn’t any better. I had the biggest secret of them all… one that would reveal itself in nine months.
I love romance books with a unique story and I’m so down for this one with a politician hoping to look the part with an ex. I just don’t think either one of them sees what’s coming from their arrangement! This is another surprise pregnancy romance book to pick up this Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Rose
by Dani Watt
It only took Tanner Valentine one look at her to know this rare Rose was his one and only. Growing the world’s rarest and most coveted roses is this mountain man’s obsession until he walks into her flower shop and his new obsession takes over.
There’s just one thing holding him back from staking his claim that ring on her finger.
Rose Everhart spends her days arranging flowers. On this Valentine’s Day, she lets it slip that although she’s send out thousands of arrangements to other lucky recipients, she’s never been the receiver of flowers herself.
What she doesn’t know, is wearing her grandmother’s scratched and worn rose gold wedding band has kept the hulky flannel wearing rose grower that’s filled her fantasies for months at a distance for too long.
Will these two unlucky at love introverts finally discover what it’s like to discover your one and only? Only, will someone from Rose’s past force her to retreat back into her solitary world just as she’s beginning to understand the power of true love?
What’s more fitting than a Valentine’s Day romance book that’s all about roses?! I love the concept and play on words as well in this romance. Pick it up if you’re looking for a book that’s equally sweet and spicy.

by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Amanda isn’t interested in romance. Not with William, and certainly not with her delusional secret valentine. But the lewd valentine innuendos convince her to accept William’s help, even if it feels like a recipe for disaster.
Safely locked away in the close confines of her apartment, it doesn’t take long for the charade to generate real heat. But Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and her stalker is planning quite a surprise.
Who says that even the nerd can’t get the girl on Valentine’s Day?! Well, William is going to do his very best in this romance book while also keeping Amanda safe from her stalker.
