My Most Anticipated New Romance Books Releasing in November 2023:
Iron Flame
by Rebecca Yarros
Fantasy Romance
Releasing November 7, 2023
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War CollegeโViolet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky.
Now the real training begins, and Violetโs already wondering how sheโll get through. Itโs not just that itโs grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that itโs designed to stretch the ridersโ capacity for pain beyond endurance.
Itโs the new vice commandant, whoโs made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she isโunless she betrays the man she loves.
Although Violetโs body might be weaker and frailer than everyone elseโs, she still has her witsโand a will of iron.
And leadership is forgetting the most important lesson Basgiath has taught her: Dragon riders make their own rules.
But a determination to survive wonโt be enough this year.
Because Violet knows the real secret hidden for centuries at Basgiath War Collegeโand nothing, not even dragon fire, may be enough to save them in the end.
Honestly, Iron Flame takes the cake as the most anticipated new romance book release for November and I know Iโm not the only reader looking forward to continuing the Fourth Wing series!
Fourth Wing has dominated the best seller lists and Iโm so glad we donโt have to wait long to continue Violent and Xadenโs story in this must-read fantasy romance. And that cliffhanger โ woah! Iโm so ready to learn more about this world, these characters and these dragons!
Bring it on Yarros ๐.

Check & Mate
by Ali Hazelwood
Academic Rivals to Lovers Romance
Releasing November 7, 2023
Mallory Greenleaf is done with chess. Every move counts nowadays; after the sport led to the destruction of her family four years earlier, Malloryโs focus is on her mom, her sisters, and the job that keeps the lights on.
That is, until she begrudgingly agrees to play in one last charity tournament and inadvertently wipes the board with notorious Nolan Sawyer: current world champion and reigning Bad Boy of chess.
Nolanโs loss to an unknown rook-ie shocks everyone. Whatโs even more confusing? His desire to cross pawns again. What kind of gambit is Nolan playing?
The smart move would be to walk away. Resign. Game over. But Malloryโs victory opens the door to sorely needed cash-prizes and despite everything, she canโt help feeling drawn to the enigmatic strategist.
As she rockets up the ranks, Mallory struggles to keep her family safely separated from the game that wrecked it in the first place.
And as her love for the sport she so desperately wanted to hate begins to rekindle, Mallory quickly realizes that the games arenโt only on the board, the spotlight is brighter than she imagined, and the competition can be fierce (-ly attractive. And intelligentโฆand infuriatingโฆ)
Iโm such a huge fan of Ali Hazelwoodโs books that itโs a no-brainer that Iโll be reading her first young adult romance, especially since itโs an academic rivals to lovers romance.
Iโve only dabbled in chess myself, but I find the game and strategy fascinating. I cannot wait to see what parallels she draws from the game to this budding romance and how she navigates the family dynamics in the relationship between Mallory and Nolan.

Love Redesigned
by Lauren Asher
Small Town Billionaire, Enemies to Lovers Romance
Releasing November 7, 2023
Julian: If I ever caught on fire, Dahlia Muรฑoz would fan the flames with a smile. So, when she returns to Lake Wisteria, I fully intend to avoid the interior designer. At least until my meddling mother exploits my savior complex.
The faster I help Dahlia find her creative spark, the sooner she will leave town. But while I was busy getting rid of Dahlia, I overlooked one potential issue.
What happens if I want her to stay?
Dahlia: People say the devil has many faces, but I know only one. Julian Lopezโmy childhood rival and family frenemy.
I vow to steer clear of him while recovering from my broken engagement, but then the billionaire makes an irresistible offer. Renovate a historic house together and triple our profits.
Our temporary truce becomes compromised as we face yearsโ worth of denied attraction and mixed emotions. Giving into our desire is inevitableโฆbut falling in love? That isnโt part of the plan.
Iโm all about enemies to lovers books and Iโve got my pick this month starting with Asherโs newest billionaire romance.
Fans of her Dreamland Billionaires series will want to check out this small town billionaire romance if you need your fix โ especially if you love HGTV shows!
Iโm just hoping that the forced proximity of working together leads to some extra special steamy times given their chemistry and years of denied attraction. Bring it ๐.
Claus & Effect

Christmas Romance
Releasing November 14, 2023
Two strangers who couldnโt be more opposite find themselves on an unexpected cross-country road trip days before Christmas where whatever can go wrong, does.
Heโs an Army Ranger. Sheโs a baker. Heโs organized and ridged. Sheโs messy and carefree.
He doesnโt do relationships. Sheโs following her heart. His family chat blows up his phone. She just buried her last living relative.
The holiday season doesnโt seem so jolly as they venture from one mode of transportation to the next. But, they have to become friends and rely on each other if theyโre going to survive all the obstacles thrown their way.
As the miles grow shorter, vulnerabilities are shared, and by the time they reach their destination, neither one of them is sure what they really want for Christmas anymore.
I am SO ready to get into the holiday groove and this new Christmas romance book for 2023 is just the ticket!
Last year the writing duo dazzled with Single and Ready to Jingle and this year they are back with another standalone Christmas romance.
Road trips offer the best forced proximity romance stories and Iโm excited to learn more about these two opposites and see the sparks begin to fly.
If you too are ready to get into the holiday spirit, add this to your TBR list.
Next Door Nemesis
by Alexa Martin
Steamy, Enemies to Lovers Romcom
Releasing November 14, 2023
After years of hustling, Collins Carter has finally made it…back to her parentsโ house. Between tending to the compost with her newly retired dad and running into her high school nemesis at the only decent coffee shop in town, Collins realizes this subdivision from hell she swore sheโd never return to is her rock bottom.
Then the homeownerโs association complaint arrived.
Nathaniel Adams always dreamed of a nice, quiet life in his suburban hometown. Or at least thatโs what he thought until Collins moved back and sent his quaint, organized life into a tailspin.
He thought Collins was infuriating ten years ago, but when she announces sheโs running against him for HOA president, all bets are off.
From secret board meetings to vicious smear campaigns whispered over backyard fences, Collins and Nate sink to levels their sleepy suburb has never seen before.
But as hate turns into lust, these two enemies are forced to reckon with the feelings theyโve ignored for years. If only there were bylaws for real life.
I had to add this to my TBR list because I love the uniqueness to this story that involves a home ownersโ association. Oh boy, can things get heated with HOAโs so Iโm hoping Martinโs latest is both steamy and hilarious in equal measure.
Do Your Worst
by Rosie Danan
Enemies to Lovers Romance
Releasing November 14, 2023
Riley Rhodes finally has the chance to turn her familyโs knack for the supernatural into a legitimate business when sheโs hired to break the curse on an infamous Scottish castle.
Used to working alone in her alienating occupation, she’s pleasantly surprised to meet a handsome stranger upon arrivalโuntil he tries to get her fired.
Fresh off a professional scandal, Clark Edgeware canโt allow a self-proclaimed โcurse breakerโ to threaten his last chance for redemption.
After he fails to get Riley kicked off his survey site, he vows to avoid her. Unfortunately for him, she vows to get even.
Riley expects the curse to do her dirty work by driving Clark away, but instead, they keep finding themselves in close proximity. Too close.
Turns out, the only thing they do better than fight is fool around. If theyโre not careful, by the end of all this, more than the castle will end up in ruins.
This is another enemies to lovers romance that captured my eye because I love the fun, paranormal angle and the fact that Riley is an occult expert. Canโt say that Iโve read a romance with this type of heroine before so Iโm game!
Iโm already loving that they donโt resist their attraction for long and start an enemies with benefits relationship. I just canโt wait until the part when they finally realize that itโs more.
Check it out if you have a thing for more contemporary, paranormal romance books!
Naughty-ish
by L.B. Dunbar
Grumpy Sunshine, Neighbors to Lovers Christmas Romance
Releasing November 21, 2023
With the name Holliday, youโd think Iโd be all about the Christmas season. Most years, I am, but this one not so much.
Between my ex being a real Scrooge-in-the-backside, re-entering the workforce, wrangling my two children, and evading my eight-year-oldโs questions about Santaโs existence, Iโm struggling to believe in the magic myself.
Enter Nick, my next-door neighbor. My very hot, single, fireman neighbor. Heโs full of the seasonal spirit from hanging my outdoor Christmas lights to playing Santa for the local church breakfast.
Funny thing about Nick, he kind of resembles the man in red, in a younger, hotter, silver fox way, complete with snow in his beard but rather tight abs suggesting cookies are not part of his diet when they are a staple of mine.
Anywho, heโs sweet in a rugged sense, and if he were the man making a list and checking it twice, Iโd like to be in his naughty column.
Because something tells me being a little naughty-ish with Nick from next door might bring me tidings of comfort and restore my joy in this season.
When he discovers I have a seasonal list myself, heโs determined to help me accomplish all the to-dos, only falling in love with my next-door neighbor wasnโt one of them.
I LOVE Christmas romance books with characters who just canโt get into the holiday spirit and even more so when authors give their characters holiday-esq names. It just adds a little something that I really enjoy and I hope Dunbar really shines with this one.
This is definitely another book to add to your TBR list if youโre ready to get into the holiday spirit.
Betting on You
by Lynn Painter
Opposites Attract, Young Adult Romance
Releasing November 28, 2023
When seventeen-year-old Bailey starts a new job at a hotel waterpark, she is less than thrilled to see an old acquaintance is one of her coworkers.
Bailey met Charlie a year ago on the long flight to Omaha, where she moved after her parentsโ divorce.
Charlieโs cynicism didnโt mix well with Baileyโs carefully well-behaved temperament, and his endless commentary was the irritating cherry on top of an already emotionally fraught trip.
Now, Bailey and Charlie are still polar opposites, but instead of everything about him rubbing Bailey the wrong way, she starts to look forward to hanging out and gossiping about the waterpark guests and their coworkersโparticularly two who keep flirting with each other.
Bailey and Charlie make a bet on whether or not the cozy pair will actually get together. Charlie insists that males and females canโt just be friends, and Bailey is determined to prove him wrong.
Bailey and Charlie keep close track of the romantic progress of others while Charlie works to deflect the growing feelings heโs developed for Bailey.
Terrified to lose her if his crush becomes known, what doesnโt help his agenda is Bailey and Charlie โfake datingโ in order to disrupt the annoying pleasantries between Baileyโs mom and her momโs new boyfriend.
Soon, what Charlie was hoping to avoid becomes a reality as Bailey starts to see him as not only a friend she can rely on in the midst of family dramaโbut someone who makes her hands shake and heart race.
But Charlie has a secretโa secret that involves Bailey and another bet Charlie may have made. Can the two make a real go of thingsโฆor has Charlieโs secret doomed them before they could start?
So, I admit that I was late to the Lynn Painter party, only joining this year after reading The Love Wager, but Iโm now fully onboard and ready to finally read one of her young adult romances.
Iโm also a sucker for romance books where a bet is involved and Iโm loving that this one is giving me Sheโs All That and 10 Things I Hate About You vibes.
Offside Yuletide
by Victoria Denault
Christmas Romance
Releasing November 28, 2023
Some guys have all the luck. I’m one of them. My entire life is a happy accident. Did I mean to become a professional hockey player? Nope.
I took the scholarship so I could go to Harvard and get my neuroscience degree for free. But, here I am playing for the Vancouver Comets.
My parents arenโt big on the fact that I picked hockey over becoming a doctor, like them. So when an injury starts my Christmas break early, the last place I want to spend it is at home hearing โI told you soโ.
When our team captain invites me to spend the holidays at a cabin in the mountains with his family, I quickly accept.
What he failed to tell me is that his family consists of just his mom. His single mom, Hannah.
Hannah is hot, confident, and witty but itโs not like I would make a move on my teammateโs mom. Thatโs offside, as the refs would say.
But my life is a series of happy accidents, remember? So when we accidentally get snowed in together โ alone โ all I can say isโฆ Oops.
Hockey romance books are my jam so mix that with a Christmas romance between a player and his teammateโs MOM and this book is going to be FIRE. ๐
I honestly cannot wait to see how the sparks fly in this Christmas romance novella from Denault who I will continually read ever since her release of Blindsided.
Let the steamy times begin!
A Demonโs Guide to Wooing a Witch
by Sarah Hawley
Paranormal Romance
Releasing November 28, 2023
Calladia Cunnington knows sheโs rough around the edges, despite being the heir to one of small-town Glimmer Fallsโ founding witch families.
While her gym obsession is a great outlet for her anxieties and anger, her hot temper still gets the best of her and manifests in bar brawls.
When Calladia saves someone from a demon attack one night, though, sheโs happy to put her magic and rage to good use . . . until she realizes the man she saved is none other than Astaroth, the ruthless demon who orchestrated a soul bargain on her best friend.
Astaroth is a legendary soul bargainer and one of the nine members of the demon high councilโexcept he canโt remember any of this.
Suffering from amnesia after being banished to the mortal plane, Astaroth doesnโt know why a demon named Moloch is after him, nor why the muscular, angry, hot-in-a-terrifying-way witch who saved him hates him so much.
Unable to leave anyone in such a vulnerable stateโeven the most despicable demonโCalladia grudgingly decides to help him.
The two set out on an uneasy road trip to find the witch who might be able to restore Astarothโs memory so they can learn how to defeat Moloch.
Calladia vows that once Astaroth is cured, sheโll kick his ass, but the more time she spends with the snarky yet utterly charming demon, the more she realizes she likes this new, improved Astaroth . . . and maybe she doesnโt want him to recover his memories, after all.
Iโve been on a paranormal romance kick so why not continue it into November with this book that pits a witch again a demon?
Iโm also loving the amnesia storyline and anxious to see how that plays out and how Calladia manages a change of heart.
Hawleyโs books have continually been on my radar so I think itโs high time that I dive into one. Let me know if you join me!
