The Best New Christmas Romance Books of 2023: My Top Picks
A Holly Jolly Ever After
by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
Kallum Lieberman is the funny oneโข. As the arguably lesser of the three former members of the boy band INK, he enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame and then moved home where he opened a regional pizza chain called Slice, Slice, Baby!
Heโs living his best dad bod life, hooking up with bridesmaids at all his friendsโ weddings. But after an old one-off adult tape is leaked and quickly goes viral, Kallum decides heโs ready to step into the spotlight again, starring in a hot Santa biopic for the Hope Channel.
Winnie Baker did everything right. She married her childhood sweetheart, avoided the downfalls of adolescent stardom, and transitioned into a stable adult acting career.
But after her perfect life falls apart, Winnie is ready to redefine herselfโand what better way than a steamier-than-a-steaming-hot-mug-of-cider Christmas movie?
With decade old Hollywood history between them, Winnie and Kallum are both feeling hesitant about their new situation as costarsโฆespecially Winnie who canโt seem to fake on screen pleasure sheโs never experienced in real life.
Sheโs willing to do the pleasure researchโfor science and artistic authenticity, of course. And thereโs no better research partner than her costar, Kallum.
But suddenly, Kallumโs teenage crush on Winnie is bubbling to the surface and Winnie might be catching feelings herself.
They say opposites attract, but is this holly jolly ever after really ready for its close-up?
MY TOP PICK: After reading A Merry Little Meet Cute, there was never any question I was going to read whatever Christmas romance Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone cooked up next and this book did not disappoint.
I love that itโs another costars-to-lovers romance but mixes in my favorite relationship coach trope since Kallum gives โlessonsโ to Winnie to improve her onscreen authenticity.
What transpired was a super cute and definitely steamy romance between a kind man who finally gets to be with the woman heโs been crushing on for years.
Itโs also a wonderful transformation for a 32-year-old woman whoโs finally claiming her power, standing up to parents who failed her, and taking what she wants to find out who she is. I absolutely adored Winnie and Winnie and Kallum together.

Wreck the Halls
by Tessa Bailey
Melody Gallard may be the daughter of music royalty, but her world is far from glamorous. She spends her days restoring old books and avoiding the limelight (one awkward tabloid photo was enough, thanks).
But when a producer offers her a lot of money to reunite her motherโs band on live tv, Mel begins to wonder if itโs time to rattle the cage, shake up her quiet lifeโฆ and see him again.
The only other person who could wrangle the rock and roll divas.
Beat Dawkins, the lead singerโs son, is Melodyโs oppositeโthe camera loves him, he could charm the pants off anyone, and his mom is not a potential cult leader.
Still, they might have been best friends if not for the legendary feud that broke up the band.
When they met as teenagers, Mel felt an instant spark, but itโs nothing compared to the wild, intense attraction that builds as they embark on a madcap mission to convince their mothers to perform one last show.
While dealing with rock star shenanigans, a 24-hour film crew, brawling Santas, and mobs of adoring fans, Mel starts to step out of her comfort zone.
With Beat by her side, cheering her on, sheโs never felt so understood. But Christmas Eve is fast approaching, and a decades-old scandal is poised to wreck everythingโthe Steel Birds reunion, their relationships with their mothers, and their newfound love.
MY TOP PICK: I just adore Tessa Bailey for the unique storylines she comes up with for her books and I loved this mom-band-themed Christmas romance book for 2023!
Tessa Bailey created two fun and unique characters that I was routing for the entire book. I loved Beat and his protection of Melody, and Melody was so snarky and funny and someone I would absolutely hang out with. I loved when they riffed off each other as they were the best moments of the book. And even though this is quite the instalove story (they fell for each other in less than two weeks) it totally worked in my mind.
Itโs always fun to read a romance that doesnโt follow a typical plotline. Bailey crafted such a fun story and thatโs what keeps me coming back to her books over and over again. Check out my book review of Wreck the Halls.

Three Holidays and a Wedding
by Uza Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley
As strangers and seatmates Maryam Aziz and Anna Gibson fly to Toronto over the holidaysโMaryam to her sisterโs impromptu wedding, and Anna to meet her boyfriendโs wealthy family for the first timeโneither expect that severe turbulence will scare them into confessing their deepest hopes and fears to one another.
At least theyโll never see each other again. And the love of Maryamโs life, Saif, wasnโt sitting two rows behind them hearing it all. Oops.
An emergency landing finds Anna, Saif, Maryam, and her sisterโs entire bridal party snowbound at the quirky Snow Falls Inn in a picture-perfect town, where fate has Annaโs actor-crush filming a holiday romance.
As Maryam finds the courage to open her heart to Saif, and Anna feels the magic of being snowbound with an unexpected new loveโboth women soon realize thereโs no place theyโd rather be for the holidays.
It wouldnโt be a Christmas romance book if you didnโt have people finding love in a quaint small town over the holidays, am I right?!
Hallmark has that set-up down for their movies and so do these authors in this hotly anticipated new Christmas romance book that Iโm so excited to read.
I love when people finally admit their deepest desires and are placed in a position to act on them.
Plus, thereโs nothing like a little forced proximity due to snow to help these two ladies find love this holiday.
And in this romance, you get not only Christmas, but Hanukkah and Ramadan holidays as well!

Along Came Holly
by Codi Hall
Holly Winters owns the jolliest holiday shop on Main Street and this season is shaping up to be the best yet.
The only pit in her figgy pudding? Declan Gallagher, the owner of the hardware store next door. He’s the scroogiest man in all of Mistletoe, Idaho.
Then Holly’s revenge prank escalates into an all-out battle with her Grinchy neighbor, and the situation turns sticky when she realizes she needs his help.
Declan can’t believe the nerve of his oh-so-cheerful neighbor hiring him to set up her holiday lights display, but the money is too good to pass up.
Despite his utter loathing of excessive decorations, he throws himself into getting the job done, only to encounter sabotage at every turn.
To his astonishment, Declan finds himself championing the very woman who used to get under his skin. Then one rooftop kiss has him thinking maybe the season’s traditions aren’t as heinous as he believed.
Declan’s heart has grown three sizes since Holly came along, but how can he admit he’s falling for the one woman he shouldn’t want?
Christmas romance books are the perfect setup for enemies to lovers books and the grumpy sunshine trope, especially when one character is such a Scrooge!
Iโll never tire of reading holiday romance books where love is found between someone who loves the Christmas spirit and another who is quite the holiday humbug, so I cannot wait to read this book which is the third in Hallโs Mistletoe romance series.

Offside Yuletide
by Victoria Denault
Some guys have all the luck. I’m one of them.
My entire life is a happy accident. Did I mean to become a professional hockey player? Nope.
I took the scholarship so I could go to Harvard and get my neuroscience degree for free. But, yet here I am playing for the Vancouver Comets.
My parents arenโt big on the fact that I picked hockey over becoming a doctor, like them. So when an injury starts my Christmas break early, the last place I want to spend it is at home hearing โI told you soโ.
When our team captain invites me to spend the holidays at a cabin in the mountains with his family, I quickly accept.
What he failed to tell me is that his family consists of just his mom. His single mom, Hannah.
Hannah is hot, confident, and witty but itโs not like I would make a move on my teammateโs mom. Thatโs offside, as the refs would say.
But my life is a series of happy accidents, remember? So when we accidentally get snowed in together โ alone โ all I can say isโฆ Oops.
Hockey romance books are my jam so mix that with a Christmas romance between a player and his teammateโs MOM and this book is going to be FIRE. ๐
I honestly cannot wait to see how the sparks fly in this Christmas romance novella from Denault who I will continually read ever since her release of Blindsided.
Let the steamy times begin!

The Christmas Wager
by Holly Cassidy
One rivalry. Eight days until Christmas. Let the holiday games begin.
When L.A.-based real estate developer Bella Ross arrives in the sleepy mountain town of Maple Falls, she has one mission: to acquire the local failing Christmas shop, Always Noelle, securing the promotion of her dreams.
Nothing can get in her way. Except the shop ownerโs stubborn grandson, Jesse Harrison.
Both refuse to budge, until an unlikely wager is struck: Bella and Jesse will compete in the Maple Falls Holiday Games, an annual tradition of eccentric feats of strength and skills.
Winner decides the selling price. Theyโll give each other a run for their money, but as the competition heats up, Bella and Jesseโs icy feelings toward each other begin to thaw.
Itโll take a Christmas miracle for them to admit thereโs a spark, but what if itโs just another game?
I have high hopes for this Christmas romance book debut from Cassidy that sounds like such a fun, enemies to lovers romcom.
I cannot wait to see what these holiday games entail and whether the city-slicker heroine or the small-town hero comes out on top.
If you love opposites attract holiday romances, this may be the Christmas romance book for you.

Faking Christmas
by Kerry Winfrey
Laurel Grant works as the social media manager for Buckeye State of Mind, an Ohio tourism magazine and website.
She most definitely does not run a farm . . . but one tiny misunderstanding leads her boss, Gilbert, to think she owns her twin sister Hollyโs farm just outside of Columbus.
Laurel only handles the social media for the farm, but sheโs happy to keep her little white lie going if it means not getting firedโshe cannot be jobless again.
And keep it going she must when Gilbert, recently dumped by his wife, invites himself over for the farmโs big Christmas Eve Eve dinner (as advertised on Meadow Rise Farmโs Instagram, thanks to Laurel herself).
Laurel immediately goes into panic mode to figure out how she can trick Gilbert into thinking sheโs basically the Martha Stewart of rural Ohio and keep her job in the process.
Laurel and Holly come up with the perfect planโall Laurel has to do is pretend to own the farm for one dinner.
But Laurel shows up at the farm to find an unwelcome guest is waiting: Max Beckett, her nemesis since Hollyโs wedding.
The annoyingly attractive man she hates will be posing as Laurelโs husband just for the evening, but when a snowstorm traps them all for the entire weekend, Laurel is going to have to figure out how to survive with her job and dignity intact.
Whatever the case, this promises to be the most eventful Christmas in ages. . . .
Winfreyโs latest is giving me similar vibes to Maggie Knoxโs 2021 Christmas romance book, The Holiday Swap, where twin swapping makes for some delightful fun.
I think the real โfunโ however will be the fake relationship between Laurel and Max. Iโm super excited to read this one this holiday season.

Ever since a car accident tore her family apart, Holly has been part of a lonely-hearts holiday letterโwriting club.
Each December, she writes to a stranger who is also spending Christmas alone, and receives a letter from another lonely person in return.
Usually, the letters go unanswered. Thatโs the pointโthe letters are anonymous, and the senders write whatever is in their heart.
But this year, the letter Holly receives is different; not only is the letter full of a grief she knows all too well, but its writer, Emma, mentions a place that Holly has visited.
When she realizes that she might actually be able to find the letterโs author, Holly becomes determined to reunite Emma with the estranged grandson, Jack, with whom Emma is desperate to reconnect.

When an unfortunate (and literal) run-in with Andrewโs lawless dog leaves Chelsea with a bum wrist, the two strike a deal: Andrew will help Chelsea rehab the injury if sheโll work with him to train his adorably uncivilized boxer.
Their typical bickering soon turns to bantering, and Chelsea finds herself inexplicably drawn to the man she thought she had nothing in common with.
As she gets to know Andrew and his parents, she realizes she needs to refocus on her own family, especially with a milestone Christmas speeding toward them.
But Chelsea can’t help wondering if she and Andrew are training for keeps, or if this unexpected Christmas gift is just too good to be true.
Romance books with the best banter are my catnip so I hope this new Christmas romance book delivers when the gym rat and dog trainer neighbors go at it!

My Ex-Mas Emergency
by Jennifer Peel
Very few in Aspen Lake expected that I, Calista Monroe, their most notorious wild child, would ever amount to anything besides being a model prisoner.
So, imagine their surprise when I returned as the hospitalโs newest ER doctor. Believe me, no one is more surprised than I am.
I had vowed to never return, even if it was the last safe haven during the zombie apocalypse. But when my niece Quinn begged me to come home, I couldnโt say no.
My plan is to stay out of trouble this time, and above all, avoid Quinnโs uncle Tristanโthe man I love to hate and the reason I left Aspen Lake.
But trouble starts to brew when my niece gets it into her pretty head that her uncle and I need to reconcile.
The devious little thing insists we deck the halls together all season long. And since Iโll do anything to make Quinn happy, I agree, believing Iโm completely immune to Tristanโs charm.
Except the jokeโs on me. Who knew that Tristanโs biggest regret was letting me go? And the infuriating man seems willing to do everything possible to win me back.
Well, itโs going to take a Christmas miracle before I ever give him a second chance. Unfortunately for my plan, our chemistry could set a blizzard on fire. Now I have a major Ex emergency on my hands.
Do I give my niece her Christmas wish, or do I let the love between Tristan and me flatline for once and for all?
Peel is no stranger to holiday romance books and Iโm loving the interfering niece in this second chance romance.
I love when heroes are determined to win over the heroine, especially when thereโs history between them, so this new Christmas romance book definitely made my TBR list for 2023.

Eager to get their dog safely home, they agree to his strange request. Neither one realizes that the wish theyโre about to make will change the course of their lives… possibly forever.

And when a chance encounter brings the pair back together, they find they have a spark of something very special.
Will they be able to find their way back to each other before itโs too late, or does the Christmas Magic have another fate in store?
Yes! A Christmas romance about a married couple with an Itโs A Wonderful Life twist.
I can understand how couples drift apart or think the grass could be greener elsewhere so Iโm loving the set-up of this romance that gives these two a chance to realize what they have with each other after all.
The Christmas Season
by Ally Sinclair
Emma Love is a matchmaker who believes in old fashioned courtship, over swiping left or right.
She’s inspired by Jane Austen, Bridgerton and a thousand and one perfect romance stories, where matches were made at elegant soirees and not by sliding into your intended’s DMs.

At a series of glamorous, festive, and, most importantly, romantic events, Emma is making it her mission to find love for everyone this Christmas Season.
How will she fare trying to find perfect matches for the Price twins, both too busy trying to outdo the other to ever look for love?

Christmas at Spruce Hill Farm
by Kathryn Springer
It’s three weeks until Christmas, and Lucy Gable is not in the holiday spirit. Sheโs the assistant to bestselling romance author Brynn Dixon, whoโs been suffering from major burnout.
Hoping to reduce Brynnโs stress, Lucyโs organized an intimate book tourโone that includes a charming little Christmas tree farm.
And they’re still hoping that no one discovers that Lucy was the one who finished writing Brynnโs last bookโฆ
But Lucyโs carefully planned book tour is going completely awry. The Christmas tree farm owner is a reluctant host, the fans are going wild for the changes Lucyโs made to the book and Brynnโs adult sonโwho no one else knows aboutโis an unexpected (if handsome) distraction.
And, as if those challenges arenโt enough, a winter storm at the farm is ensuring that hiding the truth is all but impossible.
Yet somewhere between snowy sleigh rides, a cozy bonfire, caroling and the promise of new love, Lucy is experiencing her first winter wonderland.
And Brynn is discovering that it might not be too late to find her own happy ending.
With a little courage and a sense of adventure, it might just be the start of whole new chapters for both of themโand an accidentally perfect white Christmas.

Plus, itโs got a Christmas tree farm setting! ๐
The Holiday Heartbreaker
by Maisey Yates
Itโs not the holiday season sheโd envisioned. But moving back home with her son, Benny, is all single mom Elizabeth Colfax can do after her ex-husbandโs infidelity left their life in pieces.
A fresh start at Four Corners Ranch means Elizabethโs dream career in equine therapy can become a reality, allowing her to share her love of horses with Benny.
If only it didnโt also mean butting heads with Brody McCloud, the frustratingly attractive cowboy who sets sparks off inside her.
Brody doesnโt do complicated, and Elizabethโs got more baggage than an airport. But thereโs something about the woman thatโs always gotten under his skin in a very welcome way.
As the simmering tension between them grows harder to ignore, theyโll have to decide if their undeniable attraction can outweigh a shared loss of faith in forever.
Maybe this Christmas, they can find a family worth fighting for.
Give me a couch and a blanket and I will gladly cozy up with this Christmas romance featuring a hot cowboy!
If youโre also a softie for romances where the single mom finds her happily-ever-after then this is the book for you.
It Happened One Christmas
by Chantel Guertin
All year long, Zoey Andrews lives and breathes Christmas–not just because she loves everything about the festive season, but because, as the director of countless Christmas movies, she’s perpetually (and happily) surrounded by 24/7 holiday cheer.
And this year Christmas has come early: After years of making other people’s movies, Zoey finally has the chance to make her own.
There’s just one thing standing in her way of that: Benoรฎt Deschamps, the hot, bearded, grouchy and utterly frustrating, plaid shacket-wearing tree-farm-owner-slash-mayor who refuses to grant Zoey the permit to film in Chelsea, the cozy and snowy Quebec hamlet at the center of her screenplay.
With just four days left before Christmas, Zoey must change Ben’s mind, but not before an unscripted ice storm leaves them stranded in the middle of nowhere, with nothing except . . . each other.
Will Ben’s chilly resolve shatter Zoey’s Christmas movie wish? Or will Zoey be able to melt through his stubbornness–and maybe even his heart?
Round out your reading this holiday season with another fun, forced proximity romance with the grumpy sunshine trope.
To be honest Iโm hoping that Ben mutters a few choice words in French since this book is set in Quebec!
The Perfect Christmas Village
by Bella Osborne
Blythe is just one sale away from being Real Estate Agent of the Month, so she twists the truth to sell a home to city boy Sam, who is looking for the perfect house in the perfect location.
Little does he know he’s just bought a cottage in the middle of the most Christmassy village in the country. And if there’s one thing Sam loathes, it’s Christmas.
Sam’s arrival puts Holly Cross’s chance to win the title of Britain’s Most Perfect Christmas Village now in jeopardy, and the villagers are soon up in arms.
Meanwhile, Sam is in his own personal hell surrounded by fairy lights and everyone is looking to Blythe to fix things.
But as the festive season looms, maybe there’s more than just Christmas in Holly Cross for Sam to fall in love with…
I have yet to visit a town that is Christmas personified but I would absolutely love it โ unlike the hero in this new Christmas romance book, Sam.
I hope we have a lot of holiday shenanigans in this village that end up changing Samโs mind and opening his heart!
Snowed In
by Catherine Walsh
Meganis dreading going home for the holidays ever since she left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as heโs engaged again, and sheโs just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christianโs fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesnโt mind being alone, but he hates his familyโs sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. Theyโre going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each otherโs family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, itโs only for a few weeks.
But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen.
I adore fake relationship romance books where the fake relationship is devised to keep your meddling family off your back so I know Iโm going to love Catherine Walshโs latest Christmas romance! Add in a snowed in romance and Iโm all for seeing these two fall for each other when they least expect it.

A Festive Feud
by Maren Moore
My family is famous for two things in our small town: Our annual Christmas party and our feud with The Pearce family. Our families hate each other. Itโs a tale as old as St. Nick himself. So, imagine what happens when a harmless little argument with Jackson Pearce ends with us both behind bars for the night.
As if that wasnโt bad enoughโฆ The punishment for our crime? The only Christmas party weโre allowed to have is one together. At Town Hall. Butโฆ It gets worse.
That means that Iโll be forced to spend time with Jackson and his enormous ego while we plan this party and somehow keep our families from strangling each other with tinsel this holiday season.
It doesnโt help that he is annoyingly attractive and goes out of his way to push my buttons.
With his old, dirty, work boots, and his stupid veiny forearms, he works his way into my perfectly organized life and leaves everything in disarray. Will we actually be able to survive thisโฆ Festive Feud, or will we end up back where we started?
A new enemies to lovers Christmas romance? Yes, please! Iโll take this one with a cherry on top since enemies to lovers is one of my favorite romance book tropes and I canโt wait to see how these two try to deny their feelings since it will feel like betraying their own families.
Venice Actually
by Kelly Reynolds
Getting evicted right before the holidays wasn’t on Leighton’s Christmas list. Rather than inconvenience any of her blissfully happy friends or run home to her family in Ohio, she turns to her last resort: Los Angeles’ newest soccer coach and her boss’ best friend, Killian.
From his sunny disposition to his infuriatingly good looks, Killian’s got a knack for pressing all of her buttons. Well, almost all of them. So, why can’t she stop thinking about unwrapping his package?
Killian only has one Christmas wish: to finally make Leighton Wheatley his. He’s been harboring feelings for the buxom babe for almost a year, but between his anxiety, her prickly attitude, and I-10 rush hour traffic, something always seems to get in the way.
But now they’re staying under the same roof – during the most romantic time of year – and he’s finally got the opportunity he’s been hoping for. That is until her family pays them a surprise visit for the holidays. Suddenly, he’s being upgraded from roommate to fake fiancรฉ… and much to Leighton’s surprise, there’s nothing fake about his feelings. As it turns out, Christmas isn’t the only one coming fast this year.
Iโm so excited that Kelly Reynolds is giving us another fun and spicy Christmas novella this year! If youโre looking for a low-angst, high-heat holiday romance, then look no further. Iโm already loving Kilian, a sweet cinnamon roll of a man, and hope he can close the deal with his fake fiancรฉ this Christmas!
Christmas Cupid
by Ilsa Madden-Mills
Dear Santa, Iโd like to have a word about your sense of humor. Was it really necessary to stick me, a professional hockey player nursing an injury and avoiding the media, in an isolated cabin with a bratty, boot-designing princess who seems to have made it her mission to despise me?
Was it your intention for her to barge in on me while I was enjoying a soak in the tub? It wasnโt exactly my finest moment, and Iโm sure she didnโt appreciate the view of my massive body floundering around as I tried to grab a towel. Now, Iโm stuck with her, thanks to a mutual acquaintance, in the middle of a snow blizzard, navigating through bear attacks, sketchy neighbors, and whole lot of tension.
Iโm trying to rediscover the meaning of Christmas, and you throw me into this chaos? Is this some kind of test, or are you just having a jolly laugh up there in the North Pole? So hereโs my Christmas wish, Santa: sprinkle a bit of your magic and either get me out of here or be a Cupid and ignite a fiery, undeniable passion between us, because right now, this scenario is frostier than a snowman.
Thank you Santa for Ilsa Madden-Mills and her fun Christmas novella this year! Itโs another forced proximity, snowed in romance but this one features a hot hockey player and Iโll all for it as I love her romances featuring hot athletes. Iโm also grateful for the good โole โcaught in a towelโ moment that is so much fun to read!
Naughty-ish
by L.B. Dunbar
With the name Holliday, youโd think Iโd be all about the Christmas season. Most years, I am, but this one not so much. Between my ex being a real Scrooge-in-the-backside, re-entering the workforce, wrangling my two children, and evading my eight-year-oldโs questions about Santaโs existence, Iโm struggling to believe in the magic myself.
Enter Nick, my next-door neighbor. My very hot, single, fireman neighbor. Heโs full of the seasonal spirit from hanging my outdoor Christmas lights to playing Santa for the local church breakfast.
Funny thing about Nick, he kind of resembles the man in red, in a younger, silver fox way, complete with snow in his beard but rather tight abs suggesting cookies are not part of his diet when they are a staple of mine.
Anywho, heโs sweet in a rugged sense, and if he were the man making a list and checking it twice, Iโd like to be in his naughty column. Because something tells me being a little naughty-ish with Nick from next door might bring me tidings of comfort and restore my joy in this season.
When he discovers I have a seasonal list myself, heโs determined to help me accomplish all the to-dos, only falling in love with my next-door neighbor wasnโt one of them.
This Christmas romance novella is a great follow up to Dunbarโs holiday romance, Scrooge-ish. It can be read as a standalone but if you want another silver fox and another grumpy sunshine holiday romance, check that one out after you fall for Nick!
Christmas in Coconut Creek
by Karissa Kinword
There are a few things Coconut Creek has that Pine Ridge does not. Palm trees, sandy beaches, butterfly museumsโinfuriatingly attractive special forces veterans. When Colorado elementary school teacher Ophelia Brody decides to ditch her divorced family for a Christmas in the sunshine state with her college roommate, she doesnโt expect a mile high meet cute to tailspin the entire trip.
Frankie Casado is cocky, heโs presumptuous, heโs shamelessโand heโs just the right distraction from her depressing, fruitless dating life back home for a few weeks. It just so happens the retired fighter pilot is in somewhat of a rut of his own, and the circumstances around their coincidental meeting and unavoidable physical attraction are the perfect excuse for a festive fling.
The rules are simple: Ophelia teaches him how to date again, and Frankie shows her exactly what she should be demanding behind closed doors. Friends with benefits until the ball drops in the New Year.
But a little bit of long-lost Christmas magic just might find a way to stir up more than their complicated pasts.
OMG, this book jumped up my TBR list because it sounds amazing. I love relationship coach books and Iโm anxious to see what Frankie has to show Ophelia in the bedroom while they have their hot holiday fling. Sign me up for this trip to Florida, Iโm all in!
Cabin Crush
by Kasey Stockton
Rachael: Iโve had a crush on my brotherโs best friend my entire life. Once, in high school, I even got a taste of what it would be like to be with him thanks to some well-placed mistletoe: incredible and humiliating. We always spend Christmas with Maxโs family at our cabin, and every year I have to suffer through a blissful week with him in a completely platonic way. His steady stream of girlfriends have made him off limits . . . until now.
Itโs Christmas. Weโre at the cabin together. And Max Dawson is single.
Max: Iโve never looked forward to Christmas less in my entire life. My parentsโ holiday will be ruined after I tell them my news, and to make matters worse, I blabbed to Rachael on the drive out to the cabin. Now she has to keep my secret until Iโm ready to share with my family. Which is probably why sheโs acting so weird. Watching me. Touching me. Flirting. It would be terrible if I wasnโt enjoying it so much.
But her brother has made it clear sheโs off limits. And besides, I kissed Rachael once, and we all know how that ended. So we definitely shouldnโt do it again. Right?
Thereโs nothing quite like unrequited love at the holidays but I have a feeling Rachaelโs heart is going to survive this Christmas! If you love brotherโs best friend romance books, then this is the new Christmas romance book of 2023 for you. Plus, you can enjoy four more romances in te Gift-Wrapped Romance series after this one!

I just skimmed through the titles and will take a closer look as the holiday season approaches. I was excited to see a favorite author, Lauren Layne has a book, “Emergency Contact” on the list and also that it’s written with her husband, Anthony Ledonne. It will be interesting to see his contribution to the story.
I’m excited to see what they come up with together too!
