My Most Anticipated New Romance Book Releases for September 2022
Bitter Sweet Heart
by H. Hunting
A Teacher Student Romance
Releasing September 1
Iโve got a promising hockey career ahead of me, so Iโm following my dadโs advice to make hockey my number-one priorityโat least until I make it to the pros.
For my senior year of college, Iโm going to stay focused on the game, pass my classes, and avoid relationships.
But when a woman literally floats into my dock, just before summer ends and my senior year begins, I canโt resist one last hookup.
Everything is fine until I run into her in my class. And sheโs not a student. Sheโs my professor.
Oh boy, this is Maverick Watersโ book and it sounds sooo good! Iโm assuming itโs an age gap romance, but you never know but I have a feeling Iโm going to love grown-up Maverick.
Fans of Huntingโs Pucked series will adore this second installment to her Lies, Hearts & Truths series which features the sons and daughters of her Pucked hockey studs though Iโm sure it can easily be read as a standalone too!

Do You Take This Man
by Denise Williams
An Enemies to Lovers Romance
Releasing September 6
Divorce attorney RJ would never describe herself as romantic. But when she ends up officiating an unplanned wedding for a newly engaged couple in a park, her life is turned upside down.
The video of the ceremony goes viral, and she finds herself as the sought-after local wedding officiant forced to work with an unwelcome dude-bro wedding planner.
Former pro-football event manager Lear is a people person, but after his longtime girlfriend betrayed him, he isnโt looking for love.
He knows how to execute events and likes being in control, so working with an opinionated and inflexible officiant who canโt stand him is not high on his list.
Surrounded by love at every turn, their physical attraction pulls them together but neither RJ or Lear want to get hurt.
But when it comes to happily ever after, their clients might not be the only ones saying โI do.โ
Iโm totally counting down until this title releases because it sounds awesome.
I love weddings as a backdrop to romance books and I like the spin that Williams puts on this one with an unexpectant officiant and male wedding planner working together.
Plus, the added enemies with benefits vibe sounds really hot! I canโt wait to check it out.

The Holiday Trap
by Roan Parrish
An LGBTQIA+ Christmas Romance
Releasing September 6
Greta Russakoff loves her tight-knit family and tiny Maine hometown, but they can’t seem to understand what it’s like to be a lesbian living in such a small world.
Truman Belvedere’s heart is crushed when he learns that his boyfriend has a secret life including a husband and daughter.
Reeling, all he wants is a place to lick his wounds far, far away from Louisiana.
Enter a mutual friend with a life-altering idea: swap homes for the holidays. For one perfect month, Greta and Truman will have a chance to experience a whole new world, and maybe fall in love with the partner of their dreams.
But all holidays must come to an end, and eventually, these two transplants will have to decide whether the love (and found family) they each discovered so far from home is worth fighting for.
Itโs never too early to start reading Christmas romance books and September opens the flood gates for this yearโs new holiday releases.
Iโm totally loving this one because itโs giving me all the feels similar to one of the best Christmas romance movies, The Holiday!

Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match
by Sally Thorne
A Historical Romance Rom-Com
Releasing September 6
For generations, every Frankenstein has found their true love and equal, unlocking lifetimes of blissful wedded adventure.
Clever, pretty (and odd) Angelika Frankenstein has run out of suitors and fears she may become the exception to this family rule.
Assisting in her brother Victorโs ground-breaking experiment to bring a reassembled man back to life, Angelika embarks upon a project that is all her own to create her most agreeable man.
When her handsome scientific miracle sits up on the lab table, her hopes for an instant romantic connection are thrown into disarray.
Her resurrected beau has total amnesia and is solely focused on uncovering his true identity.
Angelika reluctantly joins the investigation into his past, but when a second suitor emerges to aid their quest, Angelika wonders if she was too hasty inventing a solution.
Sally Thorne, you creative genius! I absolutely love how sheโs taking her writing skills in a completely new direction with this historical rom-com that is a reimagining of a well-known classic.
Iโm kindof with Angelika. Wouldnโt it be amazing to create your perfect man?! Iโm so excited to see what happens with her experiment!

The American Roommate Experience
by Elena Armas
A Roommates to Lovers Romance
Releasing September 6
Rosie Graham has a few problems. Her secret new career as a romance writer has stalled and the ceiling of her apartment just collapsed.
At least one problem can be solved by using her friend Linaโs spare key, unaware that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas, who Rosie has been stalking on Instagram for the last few months.
Lucas seems intent on coming to her rescue like a Spanish knight in shining armor and offers to let Rosie stay with him.
And then he proposes an outrageous experiment to bring back her literary muse and meet her deadline: Heโll take her on a series of experimental dates meant to jump-start her romantic inspiration.
Rosie has nothing to lose. Her silly, online crush is totally under controlโbut Lucasโs time in New York has an expiration date, and six weeks may not be enough, for either her or her deadline.
I really donโt think anything could keep me from reading Armasโ second novel after falling in love with The Spanish Love Deception, but this book sounds so fun!
A romance writer, secret crush, experimental dates, forced proximity, gah! Thereโs so much to love about it that September 6 canโt come fast enough! Hereโs hoping itโs one of the best of 2022!

Something in the Heir
by Suzanne Enoch
A Historical Romance Rom-Com
Releasing September 20
Emmeline and William Pershing have enjoyed a perfectly convenient marriage for eight years.
Theyโve settled into separate, well-ordered lives beneath the same roof, and are content to stay that wayโor so Emmeline thinks.
And if William has secretly longed for a bit more from the woman he adores, heโs managed to be content with her supreme skills as a hostess and planner, which has helped him advance his career.
But when Emmelineโs grandfather, the reclusive Duke of Welshire, summons them both for his birthday celebration and demands they bring their two little angelic children, William is stunned to discover that his very proper wife invented not one, but two heirs to fulfill the agreement for living at Winnover.
But surely if Emmeline and William team up and borrow two cherubs to call their own, what could go wrong? Enter George, age 8, and Rose, 5โthe two most unruly orphans in Britain.
As the insanity unfolds, their careful, professional arrangement takes some surprisingly intimate turns as well. Perhaps it takes a bit of madness to create the perfect happily ever after.
This book sounds hilarious, which is a fun way to mix things up for a historical romance.
I love how William has actually been hoping for more from his wife, so Iโm excited to see how this plays out.
Iโve really come to love Enochโs work so this one is definitely on my must-read list!

A Merry Little Meet Cute
by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
A Contemporary Christmas Romance
Releasing September 20
Bee Hobbes (aka Bianca Von Honey) has a successful career as a plus-size adult film star.
But when Bee is cast to star in a Christmas movie for the squeaky-clean Hope Channel, Bee is forced to keep her work as Bianca under wraps.
Thatโs easier said than done when she discovers her co-star is none other than childhood crush Nolan Shaw, an ex-boy band member in desperate need of career rehab.
But things heat up quickly in Christmas Notch, Vermont, when Nolan recognizes his new co-star from her ClosedDoors account.
Now Bee and Nolan are sneaking off for quickies on set, keeping their new relationship a secret from the Hope Channelโs execs.
But if Bee and Nolan canโt keep their off-camera romance behind the scenes, then this merry little meet cute might end up on the cutting room floor.
This book had me at plus-size adult film star! OMG, I think this steamy rom-com is going to be so much fun to read this holiday season.
I love how it gives a nod to Hallmark-esq Channel movies which are all the rage during Christmas but with such a twist.
This is the first time this writing duo has come together and Iโm so psyched to check it out. My Review.

Drunk on Love
by Jasmine Guillory
An Office Romance
Releasing September 20
Margot Noble needs some relief from the stress of running the family winery with her brother. Enter Luke a charming stranger in her too small world whoโs given her the perfect one-night stand.
That is, until the wineryโs newest hire, Luke, walks in the next morning.
Luke Williams had it all, but he quit his high-salary tech job in Silicon Valley in a blaze of burnout and moved back to Napa to help a friend at a winery.
Luke has no idea what is next for him, but one thing is certain: he wants more from the incredibly smart woman he hooked up withโeven after he learns sheโs his new boss.
But even if they can find a way to be together that wouldnโt be an ethical nightmare, would such a successful woman really want a tech-world dropout?
I love romance books that completely sweep you away to a new setting and Napa Valley is one of those places on my bucket list.
So, Iโll be content to โgo thereโ first in the pages of this novel before experiencing it in person.
This book may also just need to perfect glass of wine (or few) to drink while reading it! A wonderful reason for adding this to your TBR list. Plus, I love this cover so much.

The Dark King
by Gina Maxwell
A Dark Fantasy Romance
Releasing September 27
For Bryn Meara, a free trip to the exclusive and ultra-luxe Nightfall hotel and casino in Vegas shouldโve been the perfect way to escape the debris of her crumbling career.
But waking up from a martini-and-lust-fueled night to find herself married to Caiden Verran, the reclusive billionaire who owns the hotel and most of the city, isnโt the jackpot one would think.
It seems her dark, hot new husband is actual royaltyโthe fae king of the Night Courtโand thereโs an entire world beneath the veil of Vegas.
Whether light or shadow, the fae are a far cry from fairy tales, and now theyโve made Bryn a pawn in their dark games for power.
She should run. But every night of passion pulls Bryn deeper into his strange and sinister world, until sheโs no longer certain she wants to leaveโฆeven if she could.
I had to take a second look when itโs being heralded as Neon Gods meets Fifty Shades of Grey. Itโs been too long since I read a fantasy romance and Iโm game for something a bit darker than Iโm used to.
Plus, Iโm all in for the steaminess that this is sure to bring. Stay tuned for my review as Iโm diving into my advanced reader copy! My Review.

Devil on Dublin
by BB Easton
A Dark Mafia Romance
Releasing September 27
Iโll never forget the way my grandfatherโs eyes sparkled with mischief when he told me tales about the magical creatures that dwelled in the forest behind his humble Irish sheep farm.
As a child, I believed every fantastical word. But when he warned me about the mute boy who also lurked in those woods, the one the priest had declared to be the spawn of Satan himself, I refused to listen.
Kellen wasnโt evil. He was kind, and beautiful, and special, and hurting. He was my friend. And with every summer I spent stolen away with him in those enchanted woods, he grew to become so much more.
But when I return to Glenshire as an adult, grieving and engaged to someone else, all those legends quickly morph into nightmares.
My grandfather had been right about everything, especially the boy. If only I had listened.
What the what?! BB Easton is coming out with a dark mafia romance steeped in Irish folklore?! SIGN ME UP!
I love every ride this woman has taken me on with her books so Iโm so psyched to see what sheโs going to do with this dark romance, especially since itโs already coming with trigger warnings!
