Boss romance books are so hot to read given the forbidden nature to this romance book trope where the lines are crossed between boss and employee.

Happy readingโฆbecause life is better with a love story!
Beautiful Bastard
by Christina Lauren
This book is hands down my favorite boss romance book because it had so much tension!
Chloe is not just some young, unsuspecting intern but is a smart woman completing her MBA and is a force. Bennett, her boss, is a complete bastard but this enemies to lovers story totally feeds of their tension in the office.
And the scene where they first cross the line between business and pleasure…HOT!
Of course boss/employee relationships muddy the waters when promotions are at stake and that’s nothing new in this story, but Christina Lauren give us great characters who explore what’s a job is truly worth when it comes to matters of the heart.
The Casanova
by T.L. Swan
Swan absolutely blew me away with this boss romance in her Miles High Club series between the CEO and IT Manager who completely butt heads whenever they are in a room.
Theyโve always been oil and water until one night Elliott realizes he may feel more towards his annoying colleague, even if thatโs just lust from the start. And Kate may be feeling the same as she admits to an anonymous man named Edgar who she starts communicating with on a dating app.
Thereโs so much to love about this romance but let me warn you that the moment of conflict will just gut you because I could understand both of their sides to the story. A must-read boss romance for anyone who loves enemies to lovers romances.
Bad Boss
by Stella Rhys
This boss romance had the best meet cute where Julian, a self-made billionaire, follows Sara into an elevator after overhearing her say that she needs a man who can give it to her and make the headboard shake, and they have a hot one-night-stand
Running into each other again, Julian ends up offering Sara a job as his assistant to help him close a business deal which pushes them together on a daily basis where their chemistry ignites despite a no-fraternizing clause.
Seriously, they were just so hot together and yet there was also this vulnerability and connection where you knew that this was building to more than just a fling. As they grow closer, they both open up about their painful pasts which only solidifies their growing love and trust in one another as well.
Bad Boss is one of the best romance books of all time and the perfect boss romance to read that will give you all the feels.

Managed
by Kristen Callahan
This is another boss employee romance book where the two colleagues meet and hit it off before realizing they will be working together. Gabriel and Sophie meet on a transatlantic flight to London with some great verbal sparring until Sophie realizes Gabriel really doesnโt like to fly.
When Sophie becomes the social media manager for the band he manages, their forced proximity situation just fuels the flames to their attraction. Plus, throw in the fact that Gabriel can only get a good nightโs sleep if Sophie is beside him and things get really interesting for this boss and employee.
Read this if you love heroes who try to guard their hearts from everyone until they meet the one who they finally let in.
Legal Affairs
by Sawyer Bennett
I think Sawyer Bennett writes the best erotic romance and she brings some of that heat to Legal Affairs.
McKayla, after being dumped by her boyfriend, decides to take up her friend’s offer to join a discreet club and has a hot one night stand. Only her one night stand is now her new boss at the law firm she just joined.
Matt, the new boss, however can’t seem to keep his hands off of McKayla even though he doesn’t do repeats.
This book was hot and looks at the power dynamic between boss and employee. Plus, I love reading law-themed books by Bennett because she was a trial lawyer in her former life!
If you love Legal Affairs, you can also check out Confessions of a Litigation God, which tells the story from Matt’s point of view.
Brooklynaire
by Sarina Bowen
Looking for a boss romance book featuring a hot nerd? Well, Brooklynaire is the book for you!
I adore Sarina Bowen’s books but this one is probably my favorite because I love Nate. He’s somewhat of a tech nerd but he’s a billionaire who owns a hockey team in Brooklyn.
What people don’t know about him is that he’s been secretly pining for Rebecca, his employee who helps him manage the hockey team.
Rebecca is a sweetheart and Nate is adorable and together they are just the best. It’s a great will they or won’t they story that you won’t be able to put down.
Bossman
by Vi Keeland
Bossman brings you another boss/employee office romance where the two characters hit it off with their chemistry before even realizing that they work in the same office.
Chase is the CEO of the company that Reese now works for and he doesn’t stop in his pursuit. This is a great boss romance with more depth to their backstories that will pull you in.
Huge Deal
by Lauren Layne
Huge Deal takes us to the investment banking scene in NYC where Kennedy is one of the top dogs. Helping him along the way is his trusty assistant, Kate.
Of course everyone around them can see the attraction and chemistry between boss and assistant but they’ve kept their feelings hidden from each other. But those feelings may not stay hidden once Kennedy’s brother takes notice of Kate.
A great office romance between boss and assistant that finally takes off when a little jealousy comes into play!
Dirty Headlines
by L.J. Shen
Dirty Headlines is a great enemies to lovers story where Jude inadvertently has a one night stand with Celian who turns out to be her boss at her new job. That’s not her only problem though as she cleaned out his wallet the morning after their night together before slipping out.
I loved the vibe of the newsroom in this story and the arrogance and passion of Celian. It was such a great read and the perfect boss romance.
Motorcycle Man
by Kristen Ashley
This boss romance became of my all-time favorite Kristen Ashley books because I fell so hard for Tack in this motorcycle club book who is absolutely one of the best book boyfriends.
Tyra Masters finally meets the man of her dreams during a one-night stand but she soon realizes the tattooed, muscled biker is also her new boss. Tack immediately fires his new office manager but Tyra fights for her job saying they can keep things professional.
Wellโฆwe know how that usually goes and it is Tack who starts breaking all the rules. This is the best boss romance book if you love alpha males who believe in communication and honesty and who donโt let their woman hide their feelings.
This is such a great read, I didnโt want to put it down!
Hate Notes
by Vi Keeland
Vi Keeland wrote a unique, boss romance in Hate Notes that starts with some enemies to lovers action but is also super sweet with some interesting surprises.
It all starts when Charlotte falls in love with a wedding dress with a mysterious blue note sewn into it with the name Reed Eastwood embossed on it. Who would know that a job would put her front and center of Reed who is the complete opposite in temperament than the man who wrote the love note.
Check this one out for an adorable heroine who wonโt let a grumpy hero push her away.
Puck Me Secretly
by Odette Stone
Rory and Max didnโt have your typical first meet in this book. Oh no, they met on a plane that CRASHED! Rory had no idea that the man who calmed her anxiety and took care of her after the crash was actually a player on the hockey team she now worked for – as his boss.
This book gives you a great hockey romance but so much more. I loved their strong connection but also how Rory had to overcome stereotypes as a woman working in a predominately male profession. This is one of the best boss romance books worth reading!
Folk Around and Find Out
by Penny Reid
Looking for a boss romance book that takes you into a strip club, well this is the book for you. Hank Weller doesnโt want to hire single mom, Charlotte Mitchell,l to be an exotic dancer at his club, The Pink Pony. So instead sheโs hired on as the bookkeeper.
And honestlyCharlotte stole the show for me in this one. She is a SUPER mom who definitely has some history with Hank that finally comes to light.
What I loved best about this romance is that Reid didnโt need to resort to any needless drama to move the story or characters along. Charlotte and Hank of course had their issues to overcome but they did without anything over the top to detract from the story. Such a fun book that also hits you with all the feels.

A Very Bossy Christmas
by Kayley Loring
This boss romance is one of my favorite romance books of all time because I loved the animosity between boss and assistant that turns into a hilarious fake relationship romance.
Declan pretty much blackmails his assistant Maddie into being his fake girlfriend and attending his familyโs holiday events in exchange for giving her Christmas day off. But when they wake up together after a drunken, angry one-night-stand thatโs when things really get interesting!
This book should honestly be read no matter the time of year, itโs that good. The texting between these characters was oh so good and the writing just witty and hilarious. A fantastic steamy romance to add to your TBR list stat!

Something in the Air
by L.H. Cosway
This is a unique boss romance book where a relationship blooms between a young assistant and her boss who happens to be a parkour runner in a reality TV show. Michaela is the 22-year-old PA who has been harboring a secret crush on James, her boss who is not only be 9 years older, but also ENGAGED to someone else.
But this is not some conniving young woman whoโs out to steal herself a man. This is about a sweet, and very unassuming girl whoโs fallen for the guy who cannot see what a horrible relationship he is in.
Check it out if you love age gap romance and characters who deserve the sweetest of happy endings.
