I get excited for all the next romance books that drop each new month but there is something about September 2025 that has so many new romance books dropping which made it really hard to narrow down my list to just my top 10 new romance book releases for the month. This September queue up your to read list with new, must-read queer romance books, new holiday romance books, new romantasy books and so much more from some of my favorite authors.

Cochrun is an auto-buy author for me and boy does she deliver again with Every Step She Takes which is now on my list of best romance books of 2025!

I loved following Sadie’s journey along that Camino that is not only a beautiful description of the scenery around her in Portugal and Spain but also a beautiful tale of self discovery and growth for her and her trek mates.

Cochrun’s tale of Sadie’s coming out and coming into her own identity was so well crafted. I also loved how Mal offered to be Sadie’s fairy dyke-mother, giving her the chance to live the queer adolescence that Sadie missed out on while also giving her “practice” with a woman. Such a great book that I highly recommend.

I’ll soon be diving into my advanced reader copy of this new romantasy that is set in the same world as Divine Rivals. I adored that beautiful romance and fell hard for Rebecca’s writing so I’m giddy about this new romance that I have a feeling will be so swoon-worthy with passion and all the slow burn feels.

A Salacious Players Club Legacy series…yes, please! I loved how Sara Cate explored different kink her original series so I’m really curious to see where she’s going to take this legacy series. Starting off with a nanny romance with a hero who has a dark side sounds like a terrific start!

Pippa Grant writes such fun (and hot!) romance books so I’m itching to get my hands on this new romance with a Hollywood hottie. I love that this single dad has teenage boys so I’m thinking he’s an older character which I love since we don’t get too many romance books with older characters but I’m all for it! And the revenge plot….I cannot wait to see how that unfolds!

If Hannah is writing it, I’m reading it plain and simple. I’m already in love with this opposites attract love story because I have a soft spot for heroines who are introverted and especially for those who then request bedroom lessons. I’m seriously obsessed with that romance trope and I cannot wait to see what Hannah brings to it.

This book is also following a trend this year for spotlighting dementia as a theme which I have a feeling will rip my heart out but I’m OK with that. Check out my interview with Hannah-Bonam Young.

Oh my gosh Tessa is giving us another sports romance in her Big Shots series and it’s one of the “orgasm donors” and I cannot be more psyched. I’ve been waiting for the right moment to sink into my advanced reader copy because she always delivers the best romance books.

The fact that this one is a fake relationship with the goal to make someone else jealous or at least gain his attention is so much fun but I cannot wait to see what type of family wilderness competition shenanigans they get into!

I’m even more excited by the news that this series is going to be made into a TV series but first I’m ready to fall hard for these two when forces seem to want to keep them a part.

I’m in shock but so ready for the sixth and final book that has been a long time coming since this all began and I hopelessly fell in love with Poppy and Casteel. This can’t be read as a standalone but if you love fantasy romance then just dive into book one and binge read them all before this one releases.

It’s one of my most anticipated new romantasy books of 2025 and I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

There are so many new Christmas romance books releasing in 2025 that have already caught my eye and this is one of them. Hannah Grace is so popular and I am really hoping that she blows me away with this holiday romance. I love that it’s not a new adult romance like her previous books but instead has a really cute hook for the holidays around a toy design. I’ll be diving into my advanced reader copy soon!

Soul Searching

But as they begin to get closer, the lines between them start to blur, leaving both of them—and the ghosts who have been pushing them together—wondering whether their temporary arrangement could be something more permanent.

Lyla Sage wrote a paranormal romance? I’m so here for it and cannot wait to meet all of the ghosts in this fun romance. I visited Wyoming this summer and totally fell for the beautiful landscape of that state so I hope this book will bring me right back to that part of the world but in a fun way that is a bit different from her Rebel Blue Ranch series.
