A Book Blogger’s Reading List: All the Romance Books I Read in 2022

How many books does a book blogger read in a year? Well, I’ve wrapped up 2022 with 150 titles read this year surpassing my goal!

Below I’m giving you the run-down of my star ratings for all of the books I read this year to help you decide if these are romance books you should read or skip.

Another year has passed and another amazing group of romance books read! Woohoo!

The last few years I’ve set my reading goal at 135 books and I hit it sometime in November this year if I remember correctly.

Goodreads says I read 150 (as I pushed through two books on December 31 thank you!) though that is probably not ENTIRELY true as they count the books that I do not finish and there were a few of those this year.

With a To Read list overflowing and constantly added to, I’m all about DNFing a book if it’s not meeting expectations. Life is too short and I have too many book boyfriends to find to bother with a mediocre book.

That’s why I love sharing my favorites and not-so favorites with you because I’d rather you spend your time and money on a REALLY GREAT book. Right?!

That being said this year had quite a few winners! My 5-star reads are highlighted on my best romance novels of 2022 list so don’t miss it. I read quite a few 4-star reads as well which you’ll see below.

But honestly, you’ll probably be just as interested in the books that I gave 1 or 2 stars as those are the books I definitely recommend you skip. A few took me by surprise this year but those are the breaks.

Now I wish I could give a write-up about each book and what I loved or didn’t love in some cases but that would take me days upon days and I have too many other book lists ideas to work on right now 😊.

Also – if you want to go crazy and count, you won’t find 150 books below because there are a few novellas I read that were only available for a short time and I can no longer find the cover for.

You WILL find a wide range of books including so many different romance book tropes, 2022 new releases, books that have been on my TBR list too long and a few re-reads too!
